FS156 A Bird Sings

Today is the Featured Stamper at SCS is Nichole aka Butterfly Ears!!!  Huge congrats to Nichole!!!  :)  I was able to play straight away today and as soon as I saw her Be_Stampin'B's Challenge #22 card I knew exactly what I wanted to do!!!  (Don't you LOVE it when that happens!!!)

I started with a base of dark green bazzill and layered with yellow and white.  Around the edge of the white I used the Victorian Pierceabilities to pierce a pattern and then attached some Olive Satin Ribbon across the middle.  I then stamped the Sparrow from the soon to be released He Watches Me set from Our Daily Bread Designs in Jet Black Stazon and coloured with markers and a blender pen.  Across the bottom of the image I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and then cut it out with Label 1 Nestabilites and matted with a square pierce of dark green bazzill and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I added a bow (made using my Bow Easy and topped with a yellow button care of my friend Michelle) and then added Lemon Kaisercraft Pearls to the pierced border.

Stamps - He Watches Me (ODBD)
Paper - Dk Green, Yellow Bazzill, White
Ink - Jet Black Stazon
Accessories - Label 1 Nestabilities, Victorian Pierceabilities, 1" Olive Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Lemon Tart Button, Gold Cord, Lemon Kaisercraft Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!!  :)

RAKS and News....

I don't have any cards today (although I am working on a lot of stuff that you will see next week!!!  ;) ).  I do have a few RAK cards that I have been thrilled to receive and I do want to talk about something non-craft related which is exciting for me!!!

Let me start by saying I love to read, and my all time favourite series is The Wilderness Series by Sara Donati.  Many years ago I became part of the Wilderness Forum and met many fabulous girls and as part of this group and had the privilege of meeting and chatting to Rosina (aka Sara Donati).  One of my other passions is genealogy and since this series has a very detailed genealogy I set to working it all out, mostly for myself and then I shared it with Rosina and anyone else who was interested.

Today I was able to purchase the sixth (and final --- *sob*) book in the series and there in the back under the Author's Note was my name!!!!  I am truly humbled by this honour!!!!  Many, many thanks to Rosina, not just for the acknowledgment,  but also for the wonderful journey this story has taken me on!!!  Big hugs to my other friends also credited on the page as well, Judy, Robyn, Pam and Kenzie!!!  :)
If you haven't read the series, start with Into The Wilderness and read them in order with Dawn on a Distant Shore, Lake in the Clouds, Fire Along the Sky and Queen of Swords.
Next I have these wonderful cards that have been sent to me!!!!  I am so bad, I received this from my wonderful, dear friend Chris (Glowbug) and although I phoned her to say thank-you, I didn't get it up on my blog to show it off sooner!!!  Blogger won't allow me to upload any more photos, but I'll be posting the inside at SCS so you can see the awesome detail inside!!
This beauty is from the divine Anne Ryan who sent this for my birthday but didn't expect the postal system to be so fast!!!  ;)  Isn't it just amazing with all that black embossing and white snow - not to mention the black pearls :) !!!!
And last, but definitely not least, this beauty arrived from Vera at SCS who sent me this gorgeous card (and also didn't expect it to get here so quick!!!).  Such beautiful colours and I just love those Verve stamps she's used and all those yummy pearls - a girl after my own heart!!!  :)
I also just want to mention all my fabulous followers and subscribers, you make my day when leaving comments, subscribing or just stopping by, I am humbled by your support of my blog!!!  If you've manage to sit through all this to now, thanks so much and hope you've been inspired by the talented ladies who've sent these cards and if you love a good read - go get The Wilderness Series!!!

Hugs
Kathy  :)

Hey Chickadee!!

Well I had the day off yesterday for AUSTRALIA DAY!!!  Did all my fellow Aussies have a great day??  I certainly did - went with friends (including my bestie Edna) to 'A Day on the Green' at Sirromet Winery and watched Damien Leith, Tina Arena and Ronan Keating in an awesome concert under the sunny blue sky and into the evening!!!  Fantastic way to celebrate our national day!!!

Today I have another card using the brand new soon to be released You Will Find Refuge.  Isn't this Chickadee just darling??  I decided to play along with the Our Creative Corner Challenge this week, which is a sketch challenge!

I started with a base of white and layered with red and another piece of white embossed with the Floral Screen EF.  I then took a thin strip of red and layered with a very thin piece of embossed white for the top panel.  The bottom panel is more red punched one side the the EK Success Dotted Wave Punch, layered with more embossed white and attached some silver ribbon through the middle.  The oval panel is silve layered with more red.  I stamped the Chickadee from You Will Find Refuge in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with markers (Basic Grey, Going Grey, Really Rust, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red) and a blender pen.  I then cut it out with scissors and added it to the top of the red and popped the whole oval panel up on foam tape.  To finish I added some Silver Pearls (that were a RAK from my Bestie Pam124) and a silver bow made with my Bow Easy.

Stamps - You Will Find Refuge (ODBD)
Paper - Red, White, Silver Cardstock
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Small and Large Oval Nestabilities, Floral Screen EF, EK Success Dotted Wave Punch, Silver Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Silver Pearls, Scissors, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

CCEE Sing For Joy

Today I got to play with the brand new ODBD sets which will be released on Feb 1st!!!  This one is called Sing For Joy.  Isn't this cardinal amazing (and it will be FAB for Christmas cards too!!!)  I used this week's sketch challenge by the CCEE girls.

I started with a base of dark green bazzill, layered with mid blue bazzill and pierced around the edge.  For the three panels required for the sketch challenge, I stamped the branch from Sing For Joy in Chocolate Chip on White and lightly coloured and then sponged all around it in Steel Blue ink.  In the spare corner I stamped part of the verse from the same set in Chocolate Chip.  The main Cardinal was stamped twice in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with markers (Artichoke, Cocoa, Real Red, Ruby Red, Basic Grey) and a blender pen.  One I cut out with Small Circle Nesties, the other I cut out the cardinal with scissors and popped up with foam tape on top of the circle panel.  This layer was matted with more dark green bazzill and I finished with a few tiny Red Kaisercraft Pearls.

Stamps - Sing For Joy (ODBD)
Paper - Dk Green Bazzill, Mid Blue Bazzill, White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Red Kaisercraft Pearls, Sponge, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Foam Tape.

Stop by the girls from the team and see all the stunning creations they are making with the four soon to be released sets!!!!

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!!  :)

I Fought the Contact....

and the contact won.  School in Australia starts back on Wednesday after the Australia Day Holiday, so today I have been finishing off covering books and labeling everything possible.  Contact is NOT my friend!!!  :(  Needless to say, today's card is a nice quick, easy one and bonus....it qualifies for the WT challenge to cut and pop!  :)

I started with a base of light pink bazzill, layered with darker pink and some MME Whirlybird DSP.  The middle panel is more darker pink layered with more MME.  Across the bottom I've added some vanilla grosgrain ribbon.  Popped on top of the ribbon is the present stack from Flourishes 'All Wrapped Up' set that was coloured in markers and cut out.  To finish I added  the sentiment from SU's Elegant Cheer to the corner and some Kaisercraft Rose Pearls to the ribbon.

Stamps - All Wrapped Up (Flourishes), Elegant Cheer (SU)
Paper - Pink and Dark Pink Bazzill, MME Whirlybird DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Markers (Regal Rose, Old Olive), Blender Pen, Vanilla Grosgrain Ribbon, Kaisercraft Rose Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

LIM/MIM For My Friend

Hi Everyone!!  I really liked this week's SCS Sketch challenge (which strangely enough resembles the Featured Stamper card I made?!) and after thinking about it for a while, I thought this would also be fabulous to use for the Dirty Dozen Less Is More/More Is More (LIM/MIM - only accessible to Fan Club Members) challenge too!!!  So I've combined these challenges to create two cards today!!!  :)

I started with the LIM card, using this week's Sketch.  A base of Very Vanilla, layered with Close to Cocoa, Pale Pink Bazzill and more Vanilla.  The three vertical strips are more Cocoa embossed with the Jemara EF and then added some pink satin ribbon across the middle.  The feature panel has been stamped with Plant a Little Love (new release by JustRite Stampers), coloured with markers and then added the sentiment from Elegant Cheer (SU) and cut out with Label 6 Nestabilities and popped the panel up on foam tape.

My MIM card has the same Vanilla base, Cocoa and pink and then I embossed the next Vanilla layer with the Jemara EF.  Instead of rectangles I made the Cocoa strips using the Fancy Tags and attached the pink satin ribbon as above.  This time I stamped the roses from Plant a Little Love, coloured and cut them out with scissors and popped them up on the Label 6 die cut that has also been stamped with the same sentiment.  To finish I added a pink satin bow to the side and some Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the tag panels.

Stamps - Plant a Little Love (JustRite), Elegant Cheer (SU)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Pale Pink Bazzill
Ink - Jet Black Stazon, Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Label 6 Nestabilities, Fancy Tags, 1" and 1/2" pink satin ribbon, Bow Easy, Jemara EF, Kasiercraft Blush Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

FS154 A Touch of Red

I'm a little late posting this on my blog due to all the JustRite fun we've had going on this week!!  :)  This is the card I made for this week's FS Challenge.  The honour this week goes to Anne (aka jdmommy) and I chose her Layered Tulips in RED card.  Anne has a clean and simple style and a huge love of RED!  I changed the images, omitted the sentiment and used embossing instead of paper.

I started with a base of red bazzill and layered with white and more red embossed with the Jemara EF.  Across the middle I attached two pieces of black satin ribbon.  Next I stamped the flowers from Artfully Asian three times in black and coloured with markers and a blender pen.  I used the Fancy Tags die to draw a line around each and cut them out with a cutter and matted them on three black Fancy Tags die cuts.  Finished with a small black Kaisercraft pearl in each corner.

Stamps - Artfully Asian (SU)
Paper - Black, White and Red Bazzill
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Always Artichoke
Accessories - Fancy Tags Spellbinders, Jemara EF, Black Satin Ribbon, Black Kaisercraft Pearls.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!

My card today began with a base of pale pink bazzill, layered with white (pierced around the edges) and some Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival PP (isn't it great when you can use Christmas paper for other projects!!).  The next panel is more white with one edge punched with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch, layered with more Christmas Carnival PP.  Next I stamped the Cherry Blossoms from My Garden in Memento Tuxedo Black and the Border in Old Olive (stamped off once).  The border was cut out with circle nesties and matted with pink bazzill cut with the matching scallop nestie and on top is a circle of white embossed with swiss dots.  The Cherry Blossoms were coloured with markers and a blender pen and cut out (carefully!) and popped up on foam squares.  I then stamped the 'Smile' from the Seeds of Kindness set in Old Olive and cut out with Ribbon Tags Trio.  I put a mat around the sentiment tag and attached with white satin ribbon.  I finished by adding some Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to the corners and the sentiment panel.

SSS39 All Creatures Great and Small

Hello everyone!!  Today I was surfing around the net and decided to play The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge - SSS39.  This week, not only do you follow the sketch, the twist is to only have a sentiment as the focal point!  (Even better - there's a prize up for grabs this week too!!!  )  I thought of the new ODBD set Noah's Ark and this adorable sentiment!  :)  This was a great, quick, fun sketch to play with!

I started with a base of Bravo Burgundy and layered with pale pink bazzill and SEI First Kiss PP (double sided).  I then took the middle piece of paper and matted it with more BB that had been punched with the Fiskars Lace Border Punch.  The sentiment is from ODBD's Noah's Ark stamp set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut with Mega Long Rectangle Nestabilities and matted with some more BB.  Underneath the sentiment I knotted some pink/burgundy reversible ribbon and above the sentiment I punched two Martha Stewart Monarch Butterflies in pink and burgundy.  To finish I added a couple of Kaisercraft Rose Pearls to the top and bottom corners.

Stamps - Noah's Ark (ODBD)
Paper - Bravo Burgundy, Pale Pink Bazzill, White, SEI First Kiss PP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

Hello Everyone!!  This week marks the very first week of the JustRite Stampers Challenges!!  Each Friday on the JustRite Blog a challenge will be posted and prizes to be won!!  Even better the challenges for the month ahead can be found on the Challenge page so you can plan ahead!!!  This week that challenge is to use your FONTS and the prize for the week is a $50 Voucher at the JR Store!!!!!  Come celebrate with us and check out the JustRite Blog for more details!!!

I started with a base of black bazzill and punched one edge with the Fiskars Lace Border Punch.  Next I layered with some gold and some paper that I've had forever by Glitz Design called Hot Mama Brocade.  Through the middle I attached some 1" Black Satin ribbon and added a couple of Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones to each side.  The main panel is a piece of gloss gold cut with Label 5 die and layered with black cut with circle scallop nestabilities.  I stamped the custom sentiment with the JustRite 2" Wooden Stamper, Center and Font Set and used the image from the Girl Time Set.  I stamped this twice and sponged the centre of one with Pretty in Pink.  The second glass was coloured with markers and a blender pen and then used some Angel Wings Shimmerz (that my fab friend Michelle sent me - Thanks Girlie!!) to paint the glass.  Unfortunately I had a lot of trouble photographing this card and the shimmer doesn't show!  :(  I popped the second glass up on top of the first one and finished with a couple of small Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones.

You Make Me Smile!

Welcome to the third day of sneak peeks!!  Today the JustRite girls are showcasing Seeds of Kindness!  This set is made up of 6 centres and borders in the 1 5/8th size.  Today however, I have only used the centre and paired it with the flowers from Plant a Little Love.  Both sets are available for pre-order from Monday 18th January and shipping on the 20th!  I was inspired by Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (they are always fantastic to kick that mojo into gear!!) MTSC56!   I know the ribbon isn't in the right place, but it just wouldn't fit the other way!!!  :)

I started with a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with white (pierced), gold and some Bella Rose DSP.  The vertical panel is more white that's been punched with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice border punch and layered with more Bella Rose.  Next I added a piece of Old Olive that's been embossed with Swiss Dots EF and across both panels attached a piece of 1/2" white satin ribbon.  The feature panel has been stamped using the flowers from the soon to be released Plant A Little Love in Memento Tuxedo Black (twice) and the sentiment from Seeds of Kindness in Old Olive next to one set of flowers.  I colours both sets of flowers with markers and a blender pen and then cut one with Label 4 Nestabilities and the flowers from the second set were popped up on top of the first.  To finish I added a line of gold around the edge of the Label 4 and popped the panel up on foam tape and added a bow to the top of the ribbon.

My Garden Daisy

Hello Everyone!!  Today's card is a sneak peek of the brand new My Garden set from JustRite Stampers!!  This is a set of 4 flower centres and borders which will be available from next week!!!  I've also been inspired by my rockin' friend Silke's sketch which is for this week's FTTC49!  Now I LOVE daisies, so I just HAD to use this one!  You know, when I was born Cyclone Daisy was battering the Queensland Coast (my home state) and although I love daisies, thank goodness my parents didn't name me that!!!  :)  When I was married I carried dozens of white and yellow gerbera daisies!  Also, in a couple of weeks, on February 6th, I will be at Daisy Chain Scrapbooks in Nambour on the beautiful Sunshine Coast demonstrating JustRite Stamps!  If you happen to be in the area, stop on by and say hello!!!  :)  Not only is this a beautiful daisy - the sentiment border is wonderful too!  If you want the chance to win this set, pop on over to the JR Blog, but hurry you only have until Midnight Friday (US time)!!!!

I started with a base of Apricot Appeal and layered with white (pierced around the edge), Old Olive and some DCWV DP.  The horizonal panel is more Old Olive punched on one side with the Lazy Days of Summer Fiskars border punch and layered with white embossed with the Swiss Dots EF.  The two vertical pieces are more olive (pierced around the edges) matted with white.  The focal panel is the Daisy and border from JustRite's My Garden, stamped in jet black stazon twice.  I then coloured both daisies and cut one of them and popped it up on top of the other which had been cut using the Large Circle Nestabilities.  I also sponged some olive around the daisy and matted the panel with some more Apricot Appeal, pierced the scallops and popped the whole panel up on foam tape.  To finish I added a few Kaisercraft Chino Pearls to the top corners!

You can find more inspiration and sneak peeks at the JustRite Blog, Angela and Michele Kovack's Blog!!!

Hydrangea Birthday

Today the girls at JustRite are able to start showing you sneak peeks of the up coming January Release!!!!  Next week 3 new sets will be available - including the one I am sneak peeking for you today - Plant a Little Love.  This is a set of 4 centres and borders in the 3 1/2" size and they are all beautiful flowers to colour!  I choose to use this beautiful hydrangea and the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C19, to create a Birthday Card!  :)

I started with a base of Baja Breeze and layered with white (pierced around the edge), Old Olive and Urban Garden DSP.  Across the middle is a piece of white punched on both sides with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Punch and layered with more Baja Breeze.  The Hydrangea and border from Plant a Little Love has been stamped twice - once in Old Olive and once in Black.  The olive impression had a little sponging to the centre and was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted on some Kiwi Kiss cut with the matching scalloped nestabilities.  I then coloured the hydrangea from the black impression with markers and a blender pen and cut it out with scissors and popped it up with foam squares and adhered the whole panel to the centre of the card.  To finish I added the sentiment from JustRite's Just A Note set to the bottom corner and added vintage corners to the other three and embellished with a Kaisercraft Bliss Pearl.

FS153 May the Grace...

I actually managed to play the Featured Stamper Challenge straight away today!!!  WOOHOO!!!!  :)  Today the honor goes to Wendy aka Weebeestampin!  I chose her Chocolate Dasher card to CASE and changed - image, colours, added embossing made the ribbon bigger and changed the embellishments.

I started with a base of pink bazzill and layered with Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla (embossed with Victoria EF) and some sparkly glitter SEI Secret Rendevous DP.  Across the join of the paper/vanilla I attached some 1" May Arts Ribbon.  Next I cut a piece of SEI Juliette Printed Velvet Paper (which very nearly killed me because it is sooooooooo luscious I didn't want to cut it AT ALL!  Honestly it's so gorgeous and feels just like a piece of velvet material!) with the Label 8 Nestabilities and attached it to the middle.  The verse is from ODBD's Confirmation Stamp Set and has been stamped in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla and cut with the Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with pink bazzill cut with the Large Oval Scallop Nestabilities.  (I actually glued the oval panel to the velvet panel with Power Pritt Gel glue, just to make sure that it wouldn't come off.)  To finish I added a big bow to the side and a couple of Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls to the top corner.

Stamps - Confirmation (ODBD)
Paper - Pink Bazzill, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, SEI DP
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Accessories - Label 8, Large Oval, Large Scallop Oval Nestabilities, 1" Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Victoria EF, Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls.

Flourished Madness

Today I was inspired by two challenges - the Midnight Madness Challenge (sketch) and the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (to use black, yellow and one other colour - in my case, green).

I started with a base of yellow bazzill and layered with black and some Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue DP.  The next panel is more black layered with Old Olive - that I pierced around the edge using the Victoria Border Pierceabilities (I don't know if it shows up very well on the photo).  The main panel has been stamped using Flourishes' Sweet Peas stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with markers and a blender pen and cut out with Label 4 Nestabilities.  Around the embossed edge I drew a black line with a fine tipped marker and then popped the whole panel up on foam tape.  Finally I attached some gold cord as per the sketch and added the sentiment.  This sentiment is from the brand new JustRite set called Romantic Sentiments and was stamped in Old Olive and cut with Small Circle Nestabilities.

I've had these Sweet Peas since before Christmas and this is the first chance I've had to play with them!  I bought them through Stampers Dream and the customer service and shipping costs were fantastic!!!  As an Aussie, I will often look for places that have reasonable shipping costs and would highly recommend Stampers Dream to anyone, I was extremely impressed!!!

Stamps - Sweet Peas (Flourishes), Romantic Sentiments (JustRite)
Paper - Yellow and Black Bazzill, Old Olive, White, Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Old Olive
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Victoria Border Pierceabilities, Label 4 and Small Circle Nestabilities, Gold Cord, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, please stop by tomorrow for the first ODBD challenge of the year!!!!  Thanks for visiting!!!  :)

I started with a base of Old Olive and layered with white and some My Mind's Eye Whirlybird DP.  Across the bottom third I attached some May Arts Olive Satin Ribbon and then added a panel of white cut with the Label 1 Nestabilities and embossed using the Divine Swirl EF.  I stamped the Ark in Jet Black Stazon and coloured it with markers and a blender pen and then cut it out and popped it up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same Noah's Ark stamp set, stamped in Old Olive and cut out using Spellbinders' Fancy Tags set and also popped up on foam tape.  I finished off by adding a big bow to the side!!  :)

FS152 - Casing ardodd!

Today's card was made for this week's Featured Stamper Challenge.  The honour this week goes to ardodd and I was inspired by her Candy Dot Cupcakes card.  I changed the image, colours and added a few more layers!!  :)

The cross image I used is from the brand new January Release from Our Daily Bread Designs called Confirmation.  I started my card was a base of Bravo Burgandy and layered with some pink bazzill, white and two pieces of this totally luscious SEI paper also from Our Daily Bread Designs called First Kiss and Secret Rendevous.  Over the paper join I added more Bravo Burgandy that has been punched with the Fiskars Lace Border punch and then added some pink 1" satin ribbon.  The main panel is made of white card, cut with Label 8 Nestabilities and then sponged with Pretty in Pink ink and popped up.  On top of that is an oval of Bordering Blue that I got from my Bestie Edna.  The beautiful cross is from the Confirmation stamp set that I've stamped in Jet Black Stazon, coloured with markers and a blender pen and then very carefully cut out.  I finished by adding some white pearls to the top corners and each of the scallops of the border punch.

Stamp - Confirmation (ODBD)
Paper - Bravo Burgandy, Pink Bazzill, White, SEI Secret Rendevous and First Kiss
Ink - Jet Black Stazon
Accessories - Label 8 and Large Oval Nestabilities, Fiskars Lace Border Punch, White Pearls, 1" Pink Satin Ribbon, Scissors, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!!  :)

I Love the Person You Are

Hello Everyone!!!  I hope you all had a wonderful start to 2010!!!  I don't know about you, but I swear each year gets faster and faster!!!  :)

Today's card was inspired by this week's Caardvarks Sketch which is being sponsored by JustRite!!!!  Not only do you have the chance to win the two brand new releases, Romantic Sentiments and Loving Thoughts, but ALSO a $100 gift voucher from JustRite!!!!!  If you can't wait to see if you've won, both the new sets are available to ship from JustRite on Monday Jan 4!!!!  I decided to use the brand new Romantic Sentiments to make this card in preparation for Valentine's Day, because it will be here before I know it!!  :)

I started with a base of deep pink bazzill and layered with a lighter pink and some Basic Grey Bittersweet DSP.  I then added more lighter pink, with one side punched with the MS Floral Lace punch and topped with more Bittersweet DSP.  Through the middle I attached some May Arts ribbon and added a bow made with my Bow Easy.  The focal panel has been made using the Label 1 Nestabilities (in Very Vanilla) and the Fleur de Lis Pendant set (in deep pink bazzill).  Popped on top of that I stamped with Romantic Sentiments in Rose Red and cut out with Small Circle Nestabilities.   I finished off by adding some Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the top corner.

Stamp - Romantic Sentiments (JustRite)
Paper - Deep pink and light pink bazzill, Basic Grey Bittersweet DSP

For now... just be sure to be back on Jan 9 when our first Challenge of the New Year will kick off!

For my card I started with a base of white and layered with Whirlpool Bazzill and more white.  I then took a piece of whirlpool and punched the four edges using the Fiskars Upper Crest Punch.  Instead of discarding the outer piece, I used it as a border and embellished with Dew Drops.  The centre panel is the punched out panel of whirlpool and a layer of white that has been embossed with the Divine Swirl embossing folder (I tried to get the look of waves!).  I stamped the sentiment from Noah's Ark in Sage Shadow and cut it out with the Ribbon Tags Trio 2 and attached with some golden brown satin ribbon.  Finally I stamped the Ark in Jet Black Stazon and coloured with markers, cut it out and popped it up with foam tape.

Stamps - Noah's Ark (ODBD)
Paper - White and Whirlpool Cardstock
Ink - Jet Black Stazon, Sage Shadow
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Divine Swirl EF, Fiskars Upper Crest Punch, Dew Drops, Golden Brown Satin Ribbon, Ribbon Tags Trio 2, Scissors, Foam Tape.

From here hop to GRACE to see what great inspiration she has for you today!

Have fun hopping, and Happy New Year from the Our Daily Bread Designs Bread Basket!
