FS177 Our Daily Bread

Hello Everyone!!  Today is Sunday, so it's Featured Stamper Challenge time again!  The week the honour goes to Debbiemom23cs aka Debbie Seyer.  I chose her Serenity card to case and changed the colours, sentiment, moved the bow and added some more pearls!  :)

I started with a base of Kiwi Kiss and layered with white and some Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection DSP.  Across the bottom I added more matching paper matted with white and added some white satin ribbon to it.  I pierced around the top part of the card and added a few pearls to the corners.  Next I stamped the wheat cross from Our Daily Bread Designs' soon to be released set called The Living Bread in Sunflower ink (also from ODBD) and then over stamped the verse from the also soon to be released Our Daily Bread set, in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I then cut it out with small oval nestabilities, matted with more Kiwi Kiss cut with large oval nesties and then matted it all with Chocolate Chip cut with the Label 5 nesties and popped it all up on foam tape.  I finished off by adding a white satin bow made with my Bow Easy and topped it with a small prima rose.

Stamps - The Living Bread, Our Daily Bread (ODBD)
Paper - Kiwi Kiss, White, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection DSP
Ink - Sunflower (ODBD), Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Label 5, Large and Small Oval Nestabilities, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Prima Flower, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Kasiercraft Blush Pearls, Foam Tape.

FTTC72 Bless This House

Hello Everyone!!!  Today I had the chance to play this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge which is hosted by the lovely Silke Ledlow!!!  She has challenged us with a sketch this week and I've decided to turn it sideways to accommodate this cute cottage!!  I thought this would make a cute new home or housewarming card!  :)

I started with a base of So Saffron and layered with a piece of white embossed with Swiss Dots.  Next I took two pieces of Windsor Knot DSP and matted with some Baja Breeze that I punched with my new Iron Gate border punch.  Around one of the panels I've added some white satin ribbon.  Next I stamped the cottage from Flourishes' Cottage Home set in Memento Tuxedo Black on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (YG03, YG63, YG67, C1, E31, E33, E35, E50, E51, E53, Y21, YR23, YR24, B21, 0).  I really wasn't happy with the sky....next on my list of colours to get is B0000 or B000 (or maybe even both LOL!!).  I cut the cottage out with Label 10 nestabilities and then trimmed the edge and matted with Close to Cocoa also cut with Label 10 nestabilities.  I wasn't happy with the way the trees got cut off, so I coloured another pair, cut them out and stuck them on and then popped the whole panel up on foam tape.  I finished by adding a little white satin bow to the ribbon and the sentiment from the same set to the image.

Stamps - Cottage Home (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, So Saffron, Baja Breeze, White, Windsor Knot DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Label 10 Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Iron Gate Border Punch, Swiss Dots EF, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Scissors, Foam Tape.

JRC_024 Beach Birthday

Hello Everyone!!!  It's Friday and that means it's another JustRite Challenge!!!  This week we are to use the sketch found on the JustRite Blog as well as use the colours Red, White and Blue!  I have to admit I struggle putting these colours together, I don't really know why, so when in doubt head to the beach!!!  :)

I've started with a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with Not Quite Navy punched with the embossed curve punch and then layered with white that I've also used the punch on and offset the scallops.  Next I've added a piece of Ginger Blossom DSP.  The beach scene is from JustRite's By The Sea set and I've stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (G82, G99, E00, E02, E11, E21, E31, E33, E35, E50, E51, B21, B24, R22, R29, R59).  It was cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with the Big Scallop Ovals and popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from the new All Occasions Sentiments and Verse set (I just LOVE this set!) and stamped in Not Quite Navy.  I notched the panel and wrapped some burlap twine around the end.  I finished by adding a few silver pearls to the corners.

MTSC79 Just For You

Today I got to play the Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.  I really love Mercy's sketches - you can layer them up or keep them simple.  Today I opted for keeping it simple!  :)  I also was able to ink up the brand new set by JustRite Stampers called All Occasions Sentiments and Verse.  What a fabulous set for the cards you make for the every day events in your life!!!  In this case it's simply, Just For You!  :)

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with some aqua bazzill (pierced around the edge) and then some October Afternoon Thrift Shop DSP.  I changed the rectangle panel to a Label 4 panel of vanilla, embossed and then ran my BG10 Copic around the edge (no more worrying about accidentally going over the edge because I have my Colourless Blender to push any mistakes back in!!!).  I stamped the sentiment from All Occasions Sentiments and Verse in Memento London Fog and used the new Clear Horizontal Stamper which made it so easy to line up (because I am terribly lazy and hate having to get out the stamp-a-ma-jig!).   Next I ruffled some of this GORGEOUS ruffled suede ribbon, attaching it with some X-press It High Tack Tape (which is totally brilliant I have to say!) and then added a paper flower that I made using the Spellbinders Dahlia die, accenting with some branches punched with matching card.  To finish I added some Kaisercraft Blush Pearls under the sentiment and then a few more in the top corner (you can never have too many pearls!  ;)  ).

Stamps - All Occasions Sentiments and Verse (JustRite)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Aqua Bazzill, October Afternoon Thrift Shop DSP
Ink - Memento London Fog
Accessories - Copic BG10, Ivory Ruffled Suede Ribbon, Dahlia Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Kaisercraft Blush Pearls.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!

In My Heart

Hello Everyone!  I know all my Northern Hemisphere friends are enjoying the beginning of Summer and many are preparing for end of school year, but here in Australia it's turning cold and there are just a few days left before the (winter) school holidays.  Today it's chilly, grey and raining a bit.  Blech!!!  :(  I had to help a friend make a sympathy card over the week-end and it occurred to me that I really should have a few of these in my card stash because you never know when you are going to need one.  I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and decided to play along!  It also qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge this week to use paper flowers!!  :)

I started with a base of white and layered with dusty blue bazzill and then another layer of white that I embossed with the Nat EF.  Next I took two pieces of Memory Box Frond DSP and matted both with more blue bazzill - the vertical panel I punched the border with my new Martha Stewart Iron Gate Punch.  I then stamped the sentiment from ODBD's From Me To You set in Our Daily Bread Steel Blue ink and cut it out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and matted with the matching scallop in blue bazzill and popped it all up on foam tape.  I then pierced all around the oval.  I then added a piece of ribbon across the bottom and topped it with some blue Prima flowers that my BFF Edna gave me for my birhday and added a couple of punched green branches.  To finish I added a couple of pearls to the top corner.

Stamps - From Me To You (ODBD)
Paper - White, Blue Bazzill, Memory Box Frond DSP
Ink - Our Daily Bread Steel Blue
Accessories - Petite Oval and Petite Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Iron Gate Border Punch, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, 1/2" White Satin Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Kaisercraft Denim Pearls, Nat Embossing Folder, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Foam Tape.

Hello Everyone!!!!  Thank Goodness it is the week-end - time to kick back and play in my stamp room!!!  Today the first thing I did was play in this week's JustRite Challenge to Make a Bookmark!  Cool!  I love making bookmarks, they are quick and fun and make sweet little gifts for people!!  I decided to base mine around the new Victorian Nested Frames set which is part of the June Release, using the sentiment middle and only one of the frames.  I also used the new, matching Clear Horizontal Stamper....and guess what - the winner of the JustRite Challenge this week will WIN this Victorian Nested Frames Set, the Clear Horizontal Stamper Set AND the new All Occasion Nested Sentiments!!!  Just make a bookmark and link your project to the JustRite Blog HERE!!!

I started by stamping the sentiment and frame from Victorian Nested Frames in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white card and cutting it out with my trimmer.  Next I took some October Afternoon Thrift Shop DSP (that my sweet friend Lori gave me) and attached some black double looped ribbon that I found in the bottom of my ribbon bag!  I then matted it with some black bazzill that I punched one end with my new Martha Stewart Iron Gate border punch.  I then glued some yellow grosgrain ribbon to the back and then attached another black panel to the back to keep it all in place.

Where have I been????

I know it's been a very long time since I last posted - there has been a number of reasons!  The first is that our internet connection has been TERRIBLE for over a week and disappeared for days at a time!!!  It's been driving me CRAZY - I think they've been upgrading the cables in the area.  I also had my Mum come to visit for a few days (which was wonderful!) and then I worked at the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo over the long week-end followed by the Brisbane Copic Certification Class where I assisted Mandi.  It was wonderful, fun and tiring all at once!  :)  I also had the joy of meeting two of my blog friends, Leigh and Sharon, as well as lots of new friends at the Expo!!!  Leigh went all three days and made me laugh so much!!  (Leigh, I'm expecting to see lots of wonderful cards made with all those new Copics!!!)

Before the chaos I made this fun card using the Copic Feathering Technique - I've done a tutorial on the CopicOz Blog explaining how to create this look by feathering, if you give it a go, I'd love to see what you create!!!  :)  I also got to use this super fun new paper by Kaisercraft Paper called Hey Birdie topped with a panel punched with the EK success Embossed Curved Border Punch. The Miss Rosalie with Roses stamp is by CC Designs and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics!  (Markers - E00, E02, E31, E33, E35, E37, R20, YG11, YG63, Y21, RV10, RV21, 0)

Stamps - Miss Rosalie with Roses (CC Designs)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, White, Pink Bazzill, Kaisercraft Hey Birdie DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval and Large Scallop Oval Nestabilities, EK Success Embossed Curve Border Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting!!!!  :)

A Birthday Set...

I know it's been a few days since I've posted, things have been a bit hectic around here, not to mention our internet was down most of the week-end!  Today is my baby girl's 3rd Birthday!  I can't believe that she is 3yrs already!!!  In honour of her birthday, I made this card and box set with a birthday theme and you can also find it on the ODBD Blog today.

From ODBD I've used the new From Me To You set for these gorgeous fuchsias and the sentiment is from their Happy Birthday set.  You can also find this pretty Memory Box Gossamer DSP in their store - so perfect for these beautiful flowers!!

For the box, I used the fun Mini Pizza Box tutorial at SCS and made it to match the card using the same stamp sets and papers and also using the Labels 12 Spellbinders set.  I had a lot of fun making both of these projects and love all the pretty pinks I got to use!!!!  :)

Stamps - From Me To You, Happy Birthday (ODBD)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, 2 shades of Pink Bazzill, Memory Box Gossamer DSP

Accessories - Copics, Labels 12, Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Edge Punch, 1/2" and 1" Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Scissors.
