Hello Everyone!!!  Here is another card I made for the DTGD challenges (you'll only be able to see these if you are a fan club member of SCS) which incorporates Julie's second challenge, Joan's (again) and Edna's (to give her something other than blue to look at :D )!!  It also fits beautifully for the new CopicOz Challenge which is to use your copics to colour FLOWERS!!!  Anyone is welcome to enter and there is a PRIZE of a Pack of 10 sheets of X-press It Blending Card and a 24 Copic Wallet!!!  The challenge is open until 23rd August and we hope you can play along with us!!!!

Blue Chicory

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sunday, so it's another Featured Stamper Challenge today and even better, it also fits Edna's DTGD Challenge!!  :)  This beautiful flower I've discovered is Chicory and comes in blue, purple and yellow and it's part of the soon to be released Don't Worry set by Our Daily Bread Designs!!  Today's FS is Ravengirl and I have chosen her Tissue Flowers in the Afternoon card to case.  The flowers aren't tissue, but they are blue, I've changed the BG paper and added some paper pleating, buttons, different ribbon and lace.

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Blue Bazzill and some Memory Box Frond DSP.  Across the bottom I added some Very Vanilla that I paper pleated and sponged a little Antique Linen on.  Over the top of the pleating I added some cream crochet ribbon and topped with some blue satin ribbon.  I then cut out a piece of Very Vanilla with the Label 10 Nestabilities die and sponged some Antique Linen on it before removing it from the die and then popping it up on foam tape.  The Chicory flower from Don't Worry has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (B21, B32, G40, G82) and cut out and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I added a double looped bow made with my Bow Easy to the ribbon topping with a button and then adding a few more buttons to the top corner.

Christmas in July!

Hello Everyone!!  Today the challenge on the JustRite Stampers Blog is Christmas in July!  Because it is actually the middle of Winter here in Australia I am in that chilly kind of mood so I used the brand new Groovy Snowman set for my main panel and the matching snowflake and sentiment from another new set called Holiday Cheer.  In my part of the world it never, ever snows and I have to say I'm not fond of cold weather at all - so these are my kind of snowmen....the type you colour and put on a card!!!  :)  Maybe one day I'll go somewhere where I can actually make a snowman!  :)  The layout is from this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge!

I started with a base of red bazzill and layered with a piece of white that I punched with the single embossed curve punch.  Next I took two pieces of Christmas Carnival DSP and the bottom piece I punched with the same punch and cut it into three pieces.  I added a piece of ribbon between the two different patterned papers.  I then stamped my Snowman from Groovy Snowman onto X-press It Blending Card in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics (C1, C3, C5, C7, R02, R24, R29, R89, BG0000, B00, G24, G28, YR16, YR18, YR000, Y21, Y35, 0) and then cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with a piece of red cut with Blossom 2 Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  The small sentiment circle is from Holiday Cheer and also stamped on X-press It Blending Card in Memento Ink and coloured with B000 Copic.  It's been cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with two pieces of red cut with Small Circle Nestabilities with a piece of silver cord in between.  The cord was attached to the white bow and added to the ribbon.  To finish I added Clear Spica to both snowflakes and also to the red blossom nestabilities panel edges.

Stamps - Groovy Snowman, Holiday Cheer (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Red Bazzill, White, Kaisercraft Christmas Carnival Collection DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Clear Spica, Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Blossom 2 Nestabilities, EK Success Single Embossed Curve Border Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Silver Cord, Foam Tape.

Today I was able to make a super quick card for this week's SCS Sketch Challenge.  I nice easy layout to play with this week!  :)

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Pumpkin Pie and some October Afternoon DSP that I found in my stash.  The next panel is more vanilla topped with the reverse of the October Afternoon paper and then knotted some yellow grosgrain ribbon around the middle.  I stamped the wheat image from ODBD's new Our Daily Bread set in Memento Rich Cocoa on more Very Vanilla and then decided to add some touches of colour with my Copics (Y21, YR24) and then added touches of sparkle with my Sand Spica.
I matted it with some more Pumpkin Pie and popped it up on foam tape.  Finally I stamped the sentiment from ODBD's The Living Bread in Memento Tuxedo Black along the bottom and added three gold Kaisercraft rhinestones to the top.

Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Memento Tuxedo Black

Hello Everyone!  Sorry I've been quiet lately, with the children on school holidays I've had less 'play' time than normal!  :)  Today I decided to play in one of my favourite challenges, Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge!  :)  I actually coloured this Ipodabella from Stamping Bella earlier in the week and used it for my tutorial about creating texture with fabric and blender solution (aka the Nasty Rag technique) which can be found on the CopicOz Blog!

I started with a base of brown bazzill and layered with white (pierced) and then a piece of Hey Birdie DSP.  Next is another piece of brown that I punched one side with the Lacy Days of Summer border punch and then topped with some more Hey Birdie paper.  Across the bottom I added some cream satin ribbon.  I had stamped Ipodabella in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured her with Copics (R81, R83, R85, E50, E51 E53, E21, E25, E27, E29, C3, C1, Silver Spica).  I cut it out with small oval nesties (and added a little sponging), matted with Rose Red and some lighter pink bazzill.  Finished by adding a small cream prima (thanks to my friend Michelle), a Kaisercraft pink rhinestone and of course a cream bow!!  :)

Daisy Bouquet

Today is Sunday, so it is another Featured Stamper challenge over at SCS!!!  This week the honour goes to Cookiebaker - congratulations Charlene!!!  I chose her beautiful Victorian Vintage Roses card to case and changed the image to daisies, changed the colours, added some sewing, omitted the sentiment and the pearls (yeah I know, I'm shocked I omitted the pearls too!).  Once again this qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge to use at least two ribbons!  :)

I started with a base of Kiwi Kiss and layered with white and some MME Little Miss Muffet DSP and then added some sewing around the edge.  The next panel is more white punched with the Lacy Days of Summer border punch and topped with more Little Miss Muffet DSP.  Across both of the layeres I added some of this yummy white crochet ribbon and topped with white satin ribbon.  I stamped this beautiful daisy bouquet from JustRite's Beautiful Blossoms set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV10, RV21, RV23, RV25, YG03, YG63, YG67, C1, 0).  I cut it out with small oval nestabilities and matted with Kiwi Kiss cut with large oval nesties and matted again with white cut with big oval scallop (lg) nesties and then popped the panel up on foam tape.  To finish I added a bow to the ribbon.

Christmas Poinsettia

The weather has not been kind this week - it's been cold, grey and horrid.....but then it is the middle of Winter for us here in Australia.  Just when I thought there was no hope at all for the week, the postman delivered my brand new Christmas goodies from JustRite!!!  WOOHOO!!!!!  Not only were there stamps, but the new JustRite Idea Book and Catalog arrived too!!  I tell you, it was like a bit of sunshine to brighten my otherwise very dull world!!!!  :)  Of course I couldn't wait to ink some new goodies up, so I've used Hearts Come Home set for the front (don't you just LOVE this poinsettia!!!!) and the Holiday Cheer set for the inside.  So.....why did I decide to decorate the front and inside of this card......the JustRite Challenge this week is to put a sentiment on the outside and inside of your card this week!!!!  :)  The card also qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge this week to use at least 2 ribbons on your card!

I started with a base of red bazzill and layered with white (pierced) and then some Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly DSP.  Another piece of red punched with the MS Loop punch and topped with more Cosmo Cricket made up the next layer.  Over the top of this I added some yummy white crochet ribbon and topped with some clear organdy which was knotted on one side.  Next I stamped the Poinsettia and border from Hearts Come Home from JustRite onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (R46, R59, G21, G16, W1) and used my gold Spica pen to add some gold sparkle to the centre of the poinsettia and also to the border around it.  I also coloured in the main border which says 'Merry Christmas' using a R46 Copic Marker.  I then cut it out with square nestabilities and matted it with the matching scallop and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish the front I added two Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to the corner.

For the inside I attached a layer of white and then added a panel made up of more Cosmo Cricket DSP and red bazzill punched with the MS Loop punch.  The sentiment inside is from the JustRite set called Holiday Cheer which is the small 1 3/16th size - very cute!!!  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (R46, G21, G16) and once again used the gold Spica for the ribbon.

Stamps - Hearts Come Home, Holiday Cheer (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Red Bazzill, White, Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Square, Scallop Square, Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Loop Border Punch, White Crochet Ribbon, White Organdy Ribbon, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting!!!!  :)

ODBD July Hop!!!

Hello everyone! Welcome to our July Release Blog Hop!  If you've come from Dawn's Blog you are in the right place, if not, start back at the ODBD Blog so you don't miss any of the fun!  :)

In the USA, this is a big holiday weekend and I know many are busy with company and family events, so we're going to keep the hop real simple! There are no secret words to collect, no email to send to me... just a fun blog hop!

Here is what you have to do to be eligible to win one of the prizes:

*Hop to each blog, leave a comment on each one.
*Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment on the Hop post telling us that you completed the hop and left everyone comments.
*If for any reason you cannot leave a comment, please give us the name/s of the designers you were unable to leave comments for... and you'll still be qualified for the drawing.
*Here's the fun part! There are THREE prizes of WINNER'S CHOICE ONE FREE SET, but they are hidden on three different designer's blogs! You won't know who has the prizes!

The Blog Hop will run from USA 8am Eastern on Thursday, July1 through USA 8pm Eastern Friday July 2. At that time the three designers with the prizes will randomly select their winner from their commenters. They will check the ODBD post to be sure the person they draw has left their comment here, stating that they have completed the hop.... and then they will give Grace the name and the winners will be announced Saturday 3rd (USA time) on the ODBD Blog!

Today I've used the Our Daily Bread (for the wheat wreath) and The Living Bread (for the verse) sets.  I've stamped the wheat in Sunflower ink and kept overlapping it to create a wreath and the cut it with circle nestabilities and matted with the large scallop circles.  I've stamped the verse in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The paper I've used is Basic Grey Origins and accented with a little paper piercing, some Kaisercraft rhinestones and a piece of yellow grosgrain ribbon.

Stamps - Our Daily Bread, The Living Bread (ODBD)
Paper - Chocolate Chip, White, Basic Grey Origins DSP
Ink - Sunflower (ODBD), Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Class Circle Large, Large Scallop Circle (lg) Nestabilities, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Kaisercraft Rhinestones, Yellow Grosgrain Ribbon, Foam Tape.

There's more fun ahead, next stop is CHRIS!!!  Thanks for visiting and enjoy the hop!!
