JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #4

Hello Everyone and welcome to the forth JustRite Christmas Blog Hop!  I hope you've been enjoying all the projects that have been made, not just today but over the entire four weeks so far!!  Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  This week, it’s the Spellbinders design team!  So mark your calendars for Wednesdays at 9am Central for great Christmas gift, card & project ideas, starting at the JustRite Inspiration blog!

Today I decided to go with simple yet elegant.  I have loved seeing so many white cards lately and I thought a gold would add the touch of elegance I was looking for.  I started with a base of white and layered with gold and more white that was pierced.  Next I cut four 2 3/8 inch squares and layered with 2 1/4 inch squares that had been embossed with the snowflakes embossing folder.  I stamped the centre and border from Christmas Treasures with Versamark and embossed with gold detail EP and cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted it with gold cut with the Blossom 2 Nestabilities and popped it all up on foam tape.

Stamps - Christmas Treasures (JustRite)
Paper - White and Gold
Ink - Versamark
Accessories - Large Circle and Blossom 2 Nestabilities, Cuttlebug Snowflakes Embossing Folder, Gold Embossing Powder, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Foam Tape.

Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous JustRite Christmas inspiration they have for you on the hop today!

Happy and Peaceful

Today's card is a new one I made using the September release Peace.  I felt like using happy papers and let's face it, when you have peace, you are happy!!  :)

I started this one with some pink bazzill and layered with some very vanilla and then some green bazzill that I punched on one end with my Deco Fan border punch (are you getting sick of seeing that punch yet...LOL!!!!).  Next I took a piece of Hey Birdie DP and cut it into three pieces and punched the bottom one with a scallop punch.  The sentiment is from ODBD's Peace set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto very vanilla and cut out with circle nestabilities and added a little pink sponging.  It's been matted with the matching scallop nestabilities and then the blossom nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I added some Latte pearls to the top corners, some clear organdy ribbon topped with pink satin to the bottom and then added a pink bow made with my Bow Easy.

Stamps - Peace (ODBD)
Paper - Pink Bazzill (2 shades), Green Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Kaisercraft Hey Birdie DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Pretty in Pink
Accessories - Large Circle, Large Scallop Circle and Blossom Nestabilities, MS Deco Fan, SU Scallop Border Punch, Clear Organdy Ribbon, Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Latte Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

JRC_037 Shells

Hello Everyone!!!  Today I've made a card for this week's JustRite Stampers JRC_037 challenge, which is a sketch!!!  I love sketch challenges and this one is a fabulous one!!!  To make it that much sweeter, the challenge is being sponsored by Stampers Dream and their incredible design team also have samples to share!!

I've started with a base of brown bazzill and layered with teal bazzill and then some Le Chateau DP - which I've pierced around the top.  The horizontal panel is more teal punched with the Deco Fan border punch and topped with more brown and more Le Chateau.  Over the top of this I've added a sailor's knot to carry on the beachy theme.  I've chosen the shells from JustRite's By The Sea set, stamping it in Memento Rich Cocoa onto X-press It Blending Card and colouring with Copics (E000, E01, E11, E21, E50, E51, YR000, YR00, YR02, RV10, YG91, YG93, BG0000).  It was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with teal cut with Small Circle Nestabilities and then framed with brown cut with Spellbinders' Fancy Tags which was then popped up on foam tape.

Stamps - By The Sea (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Brown and Teal Bazzill, Kaisercraft Le Chateau DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Fancy Tags Shapeabilities, Martha Stewart Deco Fan Border Punch, Twine, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Foam Tape.

Mojo157 Know God

Hi Everyone!  I made today's card for this week's Mojo Sketch Challenge and used the new Brocade Borders and Peace sentiment stamp from ODBD.

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with black and some Bo Bunny DP that I've been hoarding for a while.  The vertical panel is more black punched with the Deco Fan border punch (looooooove this punch!!!) and topped with more Bo Bunny.  Around this I've attached some Ivory Satin Ribbon.  I've stamped the Brocade Border and Peace sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (YG91, YG93).  I cut the frame out with a pair of scissors and matted with black and vanilla and popped it up on foam tape.  Next I added an ivory satin bow made with my Bow Easy and topped it with a green button and gold cord.  Finally I added a couple of pearls to the corners - the were originally white, but I coloured them with YG93 so that they would match the border and button.  :)

Stamps - Brocade Borders, Peace (ODBD)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Black, Bo Bunny DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Martha Stewart Deco Fan Punch, Ivory Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Green Button, Gold Cord, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Birthday Lilies

Today I got to play not one, but TWO challenges!  WOOHOO!!!  This card is for this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to create a celebration card - how easy is that??!! - and also for the Midnight Madness Challenge to use their sketch.  It's a bit hard to tell, but the sentiment is in the corner and says Happy Birthday.

I started with a base of Very Vanilla, layered with black and some Material Girl DP.  Next I paper pleated some Very Vanilla and stuck it down to the side and added some black ribbon over the top.  These beautiful Lilies are from the A Year In Flowers 2 set and have been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (YR12, YR16, YR18, G24, G28).  I cut them out with Small Oval Nestabilities and sponged a little Antique Linen around them.  It was then matted with black cut with the Large Oval Nestabilities and some Tangerine Tango cut with Label 13.  I added some little black dots around the edge to kind of match the lilies and popped it up on some X-press It Foam Tape.  :)  To finish I added a black bow to the ribbon and the sentiment from Flourishes' Tag Lines set.

Stamps - A Year In Flowers 2, Tag Lines (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, Black, Cosmo Cricket Material Girl DP

Old Fashioned Christmas

It's another Sunday and another Featured Stamper Challenge!  This week the honour goes to eberlinek aka Kristen!!  She has a wonderful gallery and I chose her Loving Thanks card to case, changing the theme, colours, adding a few pearls and omitting the button.

I started with a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with white (pierced) and some Kaisercraft Be Merry DP.  The next panel is more RHR punched on one side with the Deco Fan border punch and topped with more Be Merry DP.  Across this I added some ribbon.  This fabulous sleigh image is from JustRite's Old Fashioned Christmas set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (R24, R29, G12, G21, G24, Y17, Y21).  It was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with RHR cut with Big Scallop Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape. To finish I added a few red pearls and a red satin bow!  :)

Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Riding Hood Red, White, Kaisercraft Be Merry DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

C4C55 Water Pump

Hello Everyone!!!  It's school holiday time here in Australia and the chaos has already begun!!  To top it off our beautiful Spring has gone and been replaced by cold weather and grey skies!  :(  So to make up for this lack of sunshine, I've decided to use this week's Crazy for Challenges sketch and ODBD image to make a bright, happy card!

I started with a base of Kiwi Kiss and layered with yellow bazzill and some Basic Grey DP from my stash.  The Basic Grey was cut into 3 panels - around the bottom I've attached some green ric rac and around the middle one I've added some ivory satin ribbon.  The water pump image is from ODBD's Never Thirst set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E31, E33, E35, E37, C1, C3, C5, YG13, YG17, Y35, Y38, BG0000, 0).  It was cut out with Small Circle Nestabilities and matted with dark green cut with Large Circle Nestabilites and popped up on top of some Very Vanilla cut with Lattice Pendant Spellbinders.  To finish I added a big ivory bow to the ribbon and Blush pearls to the top corner.

Stamps - Never Thirst (ODBD)
Paper - Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla, Yellow and Dark Green Bazzill, Basic Grey Lily Kate DP

JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hop #2

Welcome to JustRite Stampers’ newest Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops #2!  Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  This week, it’s the Stamper’s Dream design team!  So mark your calendars for Wednesdays at 9am US Central (Midnight Australian EST) for great Christmas gift, card & project ideas, starting at the JustRite Inspiration Blog!

Today's card started as a Joy Fold card, but I really wanted to frame the stamps with this MS punch around the page set and it just wasn't working, so instead it just folds on one side leaving the background visible and you can write on the vanilla panel inside.  The backing card is 5 1/2in x 8in and scored at 5 1/2in.  I've used Very Vanilla and green bazzill for matting and topped with two pieces of Belle DP.  Underneath each panel I've attached pieces of clear organdy ribbon to close the card.
The sentiment and borders are from JustRite's Christmas Nested Frames set and I've stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Very Vanilla.  (I wouldn't normally use cardstock designed for watercolour, because in my opinion the colours don't blend properly - but since I wasn't blending on such small images I didn't worry about it.)  I've coloured the borders using Copics (R29, G21, G28) and the inner panel has been cut and popped up on foam tape.  I framed it all with the Martha Stewart Iron Gate punch around the page set and finished by adding a couple of blush pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Christmas Nested Frames (JustRite)
Paper - Red and Green Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Kaisercraft Belle DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Martha Stewart Iron Gate Punches, Clear Organdy Ribbon, Foam Tape, Kaisercraft Blush Pearls.

Peaceful Green

Hello Everyone!!  Today I got to play in two challenges - Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (don't you love this sketch.....might even make another one yet!!  ;) ) and The Shabby Tea Room Challenge to either use green or be inspired by nature......obviously I chose the 'green' option!!  :)

I started with a base of dark green bazzill and layered with white and some Memory Box Frond DP which I sewed around the edge.  For the vertical panel I stamped Brocade Background in ODBD Olive ink on white and matted with more dark green punched with the Arch Lattice border punch.  Over this I attached some white grosgrain ribbon.  The circle was made by using the largest two circle nestabilities and then I accented with some white pearls.  I then stamped the Brocade Borders and sentiment from Peace in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured the frame with Copics (G20, G21, G24) and matted with more dark green and popped it up on foam tape.  I finished by adding a white bow made with my Bow Easy to the top corner.

Stamps - Peace, Brocade Borders, Brocade Background (ODBD)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Dark Green Bazzill, White, Memory Box Frond DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, ODBD Olive

FS188 Know God

Today it's Sunday, so it's another Featured Stamper challenge over at SCS!  This week the honour goes to Die Cut Diva (aka Terri) - Congratulations Terri!  I chose to case her Thoughts and Prayers card - I did mean to keep this black and white, but it decided that it needed to have some green!!  :)  I also added a couple of layers, a punched border, a bow instead of a knot, omitted the image and moved the pearls.

I started with a base of white and layered with a piece of black punched with the MS Deco Fan punch.  The next layer is more black that I've stamped with the new Brocade Backgrounds in versamark and embossed with white EP and then added some olive ribbon across the bottom.  I then stamped the border from Brocade Borders in Memento Tuxedo Black and the sentiment from Peace in the middle.  I hand cut the border and matted it with some Old Olive and more black card and then popped it up on foam tape.  Next I made a bow using the Bow Easy and topped it with a ZVA white rose and finished by adding a few Kaisercraft Lush Pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Peace, Brocade Borders, Brocade Background (ODBD)
Paper - White, Black, Old Olive
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - MS Deco Fan Punch, Olive Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, ZVA White Rose, Kaisercraft Lush Pearls, Foam Tape.

Pretty in Pink

Hello Everyone!  Today is my sister-in-law's birthday so I've made her a pretty, girly card in her favourite colours - pink and green.  I hope she likes it!  :)  I've used this week's 2 Sketches 4 You sketch for the layout.

SC297 Good News

Hi Everyone!  Today's card is for this week's SCS Sketch Challenge and I finally get to use my new ODBD stamps!

I started with Pink Pirouette and layered with white and some Gossamer DP.  The next panel is more white punched with the MS Iron Gate Border Punch and topped with more Gossamer on which I stamped the verse from the new Never Thirst set.  For the horizontal panel, I made it a wide pink satin ribbon.  I stamped the image from Never Thirst in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured it with Copics (BG0000, YG91, 93, 95, E31, E33, E35, E37, E25, E53, E55, C1, C3, R81, R83, 0).  It was cut out with Label 11 Nestabilities and then I ran the BG0000 marker around the edge for a little definition and then popped it up on foam tape.  I finished by adding a few pearls to the corner.

JustRite Christmas Blog Hop Wednesday 1!!

Hello Everyone and welcome to the JustRite Christmas Hop!!  As you may know, over the last couple of months JustRite Stampers have released NINE new Christmas Sets and combined with last year's release, there are now 15 sets available in plenty of time for you to create those beautiful, handmade cards this Christmas!!  Mark your calenders - each Wednesday until 24 November, there will be a Hop using all these sets and more to inspire you!!!  To sweeten the deal for residents in the USA, there is FREE SHIPPING from September 8 - 10 (midnight PST), just enter the code CBHOP1 when you order!!!

Today I've decided to feature the new Christmas Ornaments and Christmas Nested Sentiments and Verse sets, using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and as a bonus, it qualifies for this week's Shabby Tea Room challenge to use a Tag and JustRite Stampers Challenge JRC_034 to use Glitter!!!  OK - it's only a tiny bit of sparkle.....but it is there!!  :)

I stamped this beautiful Christmas Ornament in Memento Tuxedo Black on X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (G21, G24, G28, BG11, BG72, RV10, R85, E50, E51, Y21, Y35, 0) - all of which are available through the JustRite Store (US & Canada only).  I cut it out and popped it up in the middle of the matching border that has also been coloured with Copics and cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities.  I just love that these sets perfectly match all the Spellbinders Products!!!  *Happy Sigh*  I matted it with some Hazel Bazzill cut with the Label 9 Nestabilities.  The sentiment is from the new Christmas Nested Sentiments and Verse which I've stamped also in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the Ribbon Tags Trio die and trimmed to make it look like a Tag!  Once again --- YAY that the sentiments fit several of the different Spellbinders tag dies!!!!  :)
To add a bit of sparkle I added some Clear Spica to the snowflakes on the ornament, the holly berries and I also went over the sentiment with it --- it's just REALLY hard to photograph!!!

Stamps - Christmas Ornament, Christmas Nested Sentiment and Verse (JustRite)

Rustic Ship

Hello Everyone and welcome to the Bring Back Beautiful challenge for September!!!  As the leaves start to change colors to usher in fall in the Northern Hemisphere, we want to see your rustic beauty. Interpret this challenge however you like – want to use a little distressing? Want to use shades of rust? Want to use things that look aged or antiqued? You choose! Just make sure the end result has a rustic feel to it! Link up your Bring Back Beautiful Challenge card HERE. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB02. You have until September 30th to enter! As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!

My first instinct when I heard 'rustic', was masculine - which was perfect considering that here in Australia we celebrate Father's Day on the first Sunday in September!  I made this especially for my hubby using last week's Mojo Sketch.  :)  Now I will admit that the idea of distressing makes me break out in a sweat, but I think this turned out OK!!  :)  I started with a base of brown bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla and topped with some Le Chateau DP that was originally a pale cream, but I've grunged it up with some Antique Linen sponging, scrunched the paper up and flattened it out and then roughed the edges with a pair of scissors.  I stamped the sentiment from A Guiding Light in Memento Rich Cocoa in the corner and then paper pierced around the edge.  For the next panel I made my own DP by stamping the Sailor's Knot image from A Guiding Light several times on X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (E31, E33, E35), sponged with more Antique Linen and cut it with Large Square Nestabilities, matting with the matching scallop.  Across the bottom I've added some darker brown and added several pieces of twine.  The ship is also part of the A Guiding Light stamp set and I've stamped it in Memento Rich Cocoa on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E31, E33, E35, E37, B91, B93, B95, BG0000, W1, W3).  It's been cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with Large Pinking Circles and popped up on foam tape.
On the inside I've added more Vanilla and made a panel of brown punched with a scallop punch and topped with more Le Chateau paper (with more sponging) and adhered on three sides with X-press It High Tack Tape, leaving the top open so I could pop in a gift card to hubby's favourite store!  :)

Stamps - A Guiding Light
Paper - X-press It Blending Card,  Very Vanilla, Brown Bazzill, Kaisercraft Le Chateau DSP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories -  Large Square, Large Scallop Square, Large Circle, Large Pinking Circle Nestabilities, Twine, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Scallop Border Punch, Foam Tape.

Make sure you check out all the beautiful Rustic creations made by the other Beauty Girls!!!

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and can't wait to see your rustic creations!!  :)

Sailing...

Hi Everyone!!  Father's Day is fast approaching here in Australia, so today I've used this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge to create a nautical card for my Dad.  This would also be perfect for this month's CopicOz challenge to make a Masculine Card and use your Copic Markers!!! For your chance to win 12 Spica Pens, Click HERE!!!  Dad loves the ocean and used to sail a lot in his younger days, so I went with JustRite's By the Sea set for this card!  (Mum, make sure Dad isn't looking over your shoulder!!!!)  :)

I started with a base of Chocolate Chip and layered with White and some Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags DP.  Then I added the embossed blue layer and topped with a panel of more chocolate (punched on one side) and the reverse of the same DP.  I then used the Label 10 and Large Oval Nestabilities to create a frame that I then popped up on foam tape.  I stamped the sailboat from By the Sea in Memento Rich Cocoa on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (BG0000, BG11, BG13, G20, G21, B000, B21, B24, C1, C3, E31, E33, E35, 0).  It was cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I made a Sailors Knot with some twine and attached to the scallop layer.  (Dad is going to be so impressed that I now know how to tie this knot!!  LOL!!!)

Stamps - By the Sea (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Chocolate Chip, White, Blue Bazzill, Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags Compass DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Copics, Label 10, Large Oval Nestabilities, Divine Swirl EF, EK Success Embossed Curved Punch, Twine, Foam Tape.

There are prizes hidden on three blogs - to win make sure you leave comments on each blog and return to the ODBD Blog, leaving a comment stating that you've left comments for everyone for your chance to win!!!  If there are any that you tried but couldn’t comment on, as long as they tell us you could not leave a comment on a certain blog, you will still be qualified to win. We want this to be fun, not stressful and we know sometimes things happen!  :)  The Hop will finish at 8pm US EST September 2nd.

Have you noticed that I don't have a project for you?  :(  Unfortunately there has been a problem and my stamps didn't make it in time - so you get to look at the pictures of the releases instead.  Sorry peeps, had no control over this one!  :(

From here you are heading to the delightful and extremely talented BECCA!!!  Wait until you see what she has for you!!!  :)

Thanks for visiting and enjoy the hop!!!
