Let's Play Footy!

Hello Everyone!!!  Today is the last Wednesday of the month and that means it is Challenge time over at the CopicOz Blog!!  I'm the Hostess this month, so I hope you'll check it out and play along with me!!  :)

Today I've used Footy Luka from La La Land Crafts.  This little dude comes with a plain jersey, but since I love my boys in Red and Black, I've drawn in a sash with a .3mm multiliner to create an Essendon Bombers football uniform!  :)  Personally I think he turned out a little like Hirdy which is perfectly fine with me!!  LOL!!  However, I can see that I will be drawing in vertical stripes and colouring them black and white (Collingwood for the FIL) or yellow and brown (Hawthorn for my Dad) - don't you just love the versatility! Imagine colouring him in your fav team colours!  :)

I created my base with Black card, red bazzill, white card and some Kaisercraft DP.  The vertical panel is more black (punched with MS Zig Zag punch) and topped with (of all things) Kaisercraft Christmas DP!!  LOL!  I've used Large Oval Nestabilities to cut some red and Small Oval Nestabilities to cut a piece of white.  Did them both at the same time with the Grand Calibur......gotta LOVE that!!  :) The white oval was then embossed with Stars EF.

Footy Luka was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E000, E00, E01, E11, E13, E50, E51, E53, YR31, C3, C5, C7, R22, R24, R29, R59.)  I've cut him out and popped him up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I added a couple of silver brads to the top corner.

Stamps - Footy Luka (La La Land Crafts)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Black, White, Red Bazzill, Kaisercraft After Five DP and Christmas Carnival DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large and Small Oval Nestabilities, Stars EF, MS Zig Zag Punch, Silver Brads, Scissors, Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you play along with me at CopicOz!!  :)

FS238 France for Lydia

Hello Everyone!!!  It's Sunday, so that means it's Featured Stamper challenge time at SCS and this week it is none other than Lydia the Community Manager herself aka UnderstandBlue!!!  Well of course I had to play along and when I saw her Happy French Flower card, well I knew it was the one to case today using the brand new set from JustRite Stampers called Bon Voyage!!  :)

I began with a base of Night of Navy, layered with white, chocolate chip (punched with the MS Iron Gate border punch) and topped with some Authentique Journey DP.  Over this I've added some seam binding and a big scrunched up bow adorned with a blue button and cream rose.  The Fleur de Lis and Eiffel Tower from Bon Voyage have been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa onto X-press It Blending Card.  The Fleur de Lis has been lightly coloured with B91 and E41 Copic Markers.  The Eiffel Tower has been cut out with scissors (popped on foam tape) and the Fleur de Lis using the Labels 20 Nestabilities.  I've then framed these with chocolate chip cut with Fancy Tags 2 Spellbinders and white cut with Labels 20 which was then sponged with Antique Linen ink.  I finished by adding a couple of buttons to the corner.

Stamps - Bon Voyage (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Chocolate Chip, White, Night of Navy, Authentique Journey DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Antique Linen
Accessories - Copics (B91, E41), Labels 20, Fancy Tags 2, Seam Binding, ZVA Flower, Buttons, MS Iron Gate Border Punch, Foam Tape, Scissors.

WSC34 Baby Boy

Hello Everyone!!  Today's card is for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  Normally panels on angels freak me out a bit, but I do like this sketch and thought I'd play along - it's been far too long since the last time I joined in.  I needed to make a baby card and this super cute Bundle of Baby a la mode came to live at my place this week and thought it would be perfect to ink up for this sketch!  :)

I started with some dark aqua bazzill, layered with white (pierced), green bazzill and some DCWV Nana's Nursery DP.  I've then added some green satin ribbon down the side.  I've used the Spellbinders Mega Rectangles to cut a piece of DCWV DP and also a piece of white.  The white was embossed with the Stars EF and then matted with green cut with the matching scallop nestie.  The sentiment is from Bundle of Baby by MFT and has been stamped on white and cut with Labels 4 Nestabilities and adhered under the DP panel.  I've stamped the a la mode girl from Bundle of Baby in Memento Tuxedo Black on X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (E000, E01, B32, B34, B37, G20, G21, Y21, Y35, Y38, YR00, E31, E33, E35, E37).  I've cut her out and popped her up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon and a couple of silver pearls to the DP panel.

Stamps - Bundle of Baby (MFT)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Aqua and Green Bazzill, White, DCWV Nana's Nursery DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Mega Large Rectangles and Mega Large Scalloped Rectangles, Labels 4 Nestabilities, Stars EF, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Silver Pearls, Scissors, Foam Tape, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack.

Shabby Chic Labels Four

Hello Everyone and welcome to the JustRite Stampers Blog Hop!!!  Today's hop is revealing the latest in the Cling range called Shabby Chic Labels Four!  If you love Shabby Chic with a little french perfume inspiration, you are going to love this set which is designed to perfectly match the Labels 4 Nestabilities by Spellbinders!  :)
My card is creating using dark pink bazzill, white and pale pink bazzill topped with Memory Box Gossamer DP.  The next panel is more pale pink punched with the MS Deco Fan border punch and topped with more Gossamer DP.  Around the Gossamer paper I've attached some pink satin ribbon.  I've then added ribbon tails, leaves and a prima flower to the top of the panel and a couple of white ZVA pearl flourishes.  The image from Shabby Chic Labels Four has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV00, RV81, RV83, RV85, BG000, BG11, BG72, E00, E01, E30).  Then it was cut out with Labels 4 Nestabilities and I've hand cut a mat in dark pink bazzill (can I say here that I REALLY could have used the new Small Labels 4 Nestabilities so I didn't have to hand cut it!!!).  I've popped this up on foam tape to finish the card.

Stamps - Shabby Chic Labels Four (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Dark Pink, Pale Pink and White Bazzill, Memory Box Gossamer DP

Greetings From Paris!

Hello Everyone!  Well I wish I was in Paris, however I will have to take joy in the new Cling set by JustRite Stampers called....Greetings From Paris!!  :)  If you love the Shabby Chic look, then this set is perfect for you and full of fun elements to play with!!!  :)
Shabby Chic does not come naturally to me, but I am blessed to be surrounded by extremely talented ladies on the JR Design Team and I jokingly say that I am channeling my inner Mona for this card!!  LOL!!  Mona, my friend, thanks for the inspiration!!  :)

I began with a base of pink bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip and topped with some Papermania Rose Garden DP.  Next I sponged a doily with Antique Linen ink and adhered it.  Then I stamped the postcard, stamp and Paris panel elements from Greetings from Paris in Memento Rich Cocoa and sponged them too.  The postcard has been cut out with JustRite Stampers' Nested Frame Dies, the stamp was hand cut with scissors and the Paris element is designed to perfectly match the Spellbinders Labels 4 Nestabilities.  I adhered the postcard, added some sheer ribbon, cream lace and pink/brown dotty ribbon and also a brown ZVA rhinestone flourish.  Then I popped the Paris panel and stamp up on foam tape, added a big sheer bow topped with a ZVA rose and some greenery.  Finally I added a few clear and pink buttons 'cause it just needed something else!  :)

Don't miss all the incredible creations that the team has made for you today!!!!

Just Because....

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sunday and that means it's Featured Stamper challenge time!!  I've missed playing the FS challenge, so was happy to join in today!!  :)  This week the honour goes to Korin aka Sweet n Sassy Stamps and I found THIS fab card to case!  I've changed the image and elements and kept the over all design.

I've used a base of yellow bazzill and layered with blue bazzill, white and some MME Gertie DP.  The frame is created with blue bazzill cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities with the middle cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities.  The inner white circle is cut with two sizes of Small Circle Nestabilities.  I actually coloured this Marci with Flower stamp the other day for a tutorial at CopicOz.  You can find the tutorial by Clicking Here!  She was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E11, E13, E15, E18, BV00, E04, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y21, Y35, Y38, YR24, B91, B93, B95, B97, E97, E08, E19, R81, R83, E51, E53, G24, G28, E35, E37).  The sentiment is from JustRite Stampers mini sentiment set called Just Because which I've then cut into a notched tag and then popped Marci up on foam tape over the end.  I've then added a couple of branches and three ZVA flowers to the lacey ring.  To finish I've added clear rhinestones to the corners.

Want to see one of my latest FAV things that you DON'T put on the front of your card????
It's a stamp that is customized with your name and BLOG ADDRESS!!!  How super cool....not to mention time saving!!!  It's called a My Blog, My Card Stamper and I use this on the back of ALL my cards now and anywhere that I need to use these details - class kit bags, back of old business cards, paper bags when people buy my cards.....you name it!!  You can choose what you want it to say, so if you don't want the 'handcrafted by, you don't have to have it!  :)  You can find all the template details on the JustRite Stampers website HERE!!  Okay, that's all the enabling from me today!!  :)

Be Strong

Hello Everyone!!  If you stopped by yesterday you'll know that this month the JustRite girls are Crafting for a Cause!  The two sets that are being released this month are both to support people with cancer and in particular we are helping to fund raise for Ovarian Cancer in support of our Illustrator, Amy Tedder who is a 6yr survivor!!  Today's set is Be Strong and is a CLEAR set!!  Our first ever clear set and we hope you will embrace it and know that 20% of sales will go directly to Ovarian Cancer Research!!

JustRite Crafting For a Cause
In an effort to find an early diagnostic test or screening tool for Ovarian Cancer, JustRite Crafting For a Cause will donate 20% of the sales from Be Strong and Courage and Strength in 2011 to Ovarian Cancer Research. To learn more about the symptoms of this “silent killer “ visit www.OvarianCancer.org
Yesterday's card was teal in support of Ovarian Cancer, today's however is Orange - which is the colour for Leukemia.  (If you want to know more about ribbon colours for various cancer types, please scroll down to yesterday's post.)  I have a friend with Leukemia and there is no cure, only constant checking, tests and trying to stay in remission.  She doesn't tell people as she doesn't want to be defined by her disease - but let me tell you, she is one of the most amazing, strong, positive, incredible people I know and I feel privileged to be her friend!  I chose the 'Strength' sentiment especially for her!

My base is created of aqua bazzill, black and pumpkin pie topped with two pieces of MME Mabel DP.  Across this is a punched piece of pumpkin and topped with white crochet lace and white satin ribbon.  The decorative frame from Be Strong is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with Labels 10 Nestabilities.  This is matted with more Mabel DP cut with Labels 17 Nestabilities and I've hand cut a black frame for it.  The ribbon from Be Strong is stamped with Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with the Orange Quad Copic Marker set (YR00, YR12, YR16, YR18), cut out with scissors and popped up on foam tape.  Next I've added a white bow to the ribbon, topped it with a pale orange button and gold cord.  The sentiment has been stamped in Tuxedo Black and cut out with JustRite's Nested Frame Dies and popped under the ribbon.  To finish I've added a few black pearls to the corners.
Stamps - Be Strong (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Aqua Bazzill, Black, Pumpkin Pie, MME Mabel DP

Strength and Courage

Hello Everyone and welcome to the JustRite Stampers Blog Hop!  Today we are showcasing the new Strength and Courage set.

These sets are close to our hearts as our sweet and extremely talented illustrator, Amy Tedder is a 6yr Ovarian Cancer Survivor!!!  Thankfully she insisted on having tests done and in so, found out early enough that she could be treated!!  So many of us have been, or know someone who has been affected by some form of Cancer and we celebrate those who have defeated it!  Not everyone is so lucky.  With your support, 20% of sales will go to Ovarian Cancer Research - let's find a way for early detection so that more women have a chance against this deadly disease!!  Although we are donating to Ovarian Cancer, these sets are versatile and can be used for any kind of Cancer support projects by simply changing the colour of the ribbon.

My base is made of teal bazzill, white, chocolate chip and some MME Hattie DP.  Across this I've added more teal (punched with the MS Loop punch), chocolate chip and more Hattie DP.  Over this panel I've added some white crochet lace and some white satin ribbon that has been coloured with a BG13 Copic Marker.  I've stamped the border and centre from Strength and Courage twice, cut the centre out with scissors from one and popped it up over the second that I've coloured with a BG13 Copic and cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities.  This has been framed with more teal bazzill cut with Large Scallop Oval Nestabilities and then matted again with white cut with Labels 20 Nestabilities.  Next I've attached a bow (coloured with BG13), some silver cord and silver charm and topped with a white button, airbrushed with BG13.  Finally I finished with a few white pearls in the top corners.

DTGD Very CAS!!!

Hello Everyone!!!  Can you believe it - two CAS cards in ONE WEEK!!!  I know, I shock myself as well!!!  :)  This one is for the DTGD challenge for both Cutterscallous and TexasGrammy.....want to know more and you are a Fan Club Member, check out the Dare To Get Dirty Master Thread!!  :)

This is such an easy card to make!  Use a Lacey Square Nestabilities die to cut your card base, then emboss the middle with a Large Circle Nestabilities die and then pierce around the edge.  I was going to stamp and colour the butterfly directly onto the card, but then I found 'one I prepared earlier' and then forgot that I had, so I stuck it to the front.  :)  Stamp the sentiment and add a Copic coloured rhinestone to each corner and hey presto, you're done!!  :)

Stamps - Butterflies and Blossoms (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Lacey Squares and Large Circle Nestabilities, Paper Piercer and Mat Pack, Clear Rhinestones.

Goodness knows what challenge I'm going to get next!!! Thanks for visiting and hope you are Inspired to Stamp!!!  :)

Beauty of CAS

Many of us like to add bows, lace and lots of embellishments. This month we are asking you to leave all that off and create a CAS card. Link up your Bringing Back Beautiful Challenge creation HERE to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB13. You have until August 31st to enter! As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!

I'll be the first to admit that the CAS style does not come easily to me, I love layers and bows and lots of pretties, so I nearly died when I saw this month's challenge!  I just left it pretty basic and let the colours do the talking.  My base is white and then I popped a layer of Rich Razzleberry and White (scored on my scor-pal) up on foam tape.  Around this I knotted (see, NO BOW!) some white organdy ribbon that was coloured with a RV63 Copic Marker.  In the corners I've added a couple of clear rhinestones - also coloured with the RV63 Copic.  Finally I stamped the Zinnias and sentiment from the Zinnias stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copic Markers (RV63, RV66, G40, G82, G85, Y21, Y35).  It was cut out with Labels 18 Nestabilities, sponged with a little Dandelion Memento ink and also popped up on foam tape.

Stamps - Zinnias (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Rich Razzleberry
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black and Dandelion
Accessories - Copics, Labels 18 Nestabilities, White Organdy Ribbon, Clear Rhinestones, Foam Tape.

Don't miss the beautiful creations made by the team this month!!!
That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you play along with us this month!!!  :)
