Feel Better Soon!

Hello Everyone!  Winter officially begins tomorrow here in Australia and already the sicknesses and flu are spreading throughout the place!  :(  I don't like Winter at all and I know we don't have to deal with snow and the like, but I still prefer the warmth of Summer.  That being said, if I did have to succumb to some dreaded flu, I know I would love to receive a pretty get well card!  :)  Today the JustRite team are showcasing a couple of new Get Well Sets and I've used Chicken Soup Labels Four!  I've also used the new Autumn Swirl Background stamp that you will see more of in a few days!  ;)
I've created my card base using Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles and some Riding Hood Red cardstock.  Next I took a piece of Kraft card, cut it with the next die in the Radiant Rectangles set and stamped Autumn Swirl Background in Versamark ink and clear embossed it.  With the next dies in the set, I've cut another piece of Riding Hood Red to create a decorative panel.  I've stamped the Hope You Feel Better Label from Chicken Soup Labels Four in Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder and cut it out with the matching Labels Four die.  I thought it needed a little something around the edge, so I trimmed a piece of Chocolate Chip card to mat the label and popped it up on foam tape.

Stamps - Chicken Soup Labels Four, Autumn Swirl Background (JustRite)
Paper - Riding Hood Red, Kraft, Chocolate Chip
Ink - Versamark
Accessories - Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles and Labels Four Nestabilities, Clear and White Embossing Powder, Foam Tape, Scissors.

The team have lots of fabulous inspiration for you today, what not pop by and leave a little love!

Let Your Soul Sing

Tweet, Tweet!!  It's Day One of the June JustRite Release and the team are showcasing a fun new birdie set called Let Your Soul Sing!  I've also used the new Leafy Background stamp...you'll see more about this in a few days!  ;)

I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with Baja Breeze (punched with scallop punch across the bottom).  The next layer was originally white, stamped with Leafy Background in Memento Bamboo Leaves and punched the bottom with the Arch Lattice Punch.  I decided the white was too much and toned it down by airbrushing some G43 Copic over it.  I've stamped the elements from Let Your Soul Sing using a variety of Faber Castell Big Brush Pens and cut out the image with Large Circle Nestabilities.  Once again, I've airbrushed the sky with B000 Copic.  The birdie was stamped separately and cut out and popped into the nest.  I've matted it with some yellow cut with Stately Circles Nestabilities.  The sentiment has been curved on the clear block so that it fits into the Spellbinders Ribbon Banners die cut and then attached to the card.  To finish I've added some rhinestones to the corners.

Stamps - Let Your Soul Sing, Leafy Background (JustRite)
Paper - Old Olive, Baja Breeze, White, Yellow
Ink - Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Large Circle and Stately Circle Nestabilities, Ribbon Banner Shapeabilities, Clear Rhinestones.

You should see some of the amazing creations the team have today, pop by and leave them a little love!!  :)

Technique Journal

Hello Everyone!  It's the last day of the JustRite Papercraft May Release and today we are showcasing a couple of sets designed by our very own Becca Feeken!!  The set I've used is called Filigree Journal Covers and it also matches her Vintage Filigree Fancies and Vintage Alphabet Soup Background stamps beautifully!!
I'm in the process of creating my Copic Technique Journal, so this was the perfect set to decorate my cover!  The background was created by stamping the Floral Flourishes Background stamp in Versamark ink and clear embossing.  Next I took a non-stick mat (or wax paper will work too!) and added many drops of Copic Refill Ink over it (mostly RV52, but a little Y21 and G43 as well) and then spritz it with Colorless Blender Refill.  Then I swirled my embossed piece of paper over it.  I kept doing this until I was happy with the way it looked.  I've attached it to a piece of pink card and wrapped a couple of pieces of ribbon around it.  Next I stamped the frame from Filigree Journal Covers in Memento Rose Bud and the two sentiments in Tuxedo Black and fussy cut it.  I've matted this with a piece of white card cut to size and airbrushed with RV52 and then matted it again with pink card cut with Spellbinders' Marvelous Squares die and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.  The butterfly is from Butterfly Dreams and I've used my Copic Markers to colour directly onto the rubber, 'colouring' the piece of card with Colorless Blender and stamping onto the card.  The Colorless Blender reactivates the Copic ink on the stamp for a crisp stamped image.  I've done this twice in different colours.  (Make sure you clean your markers off if there is any ink transferred to your nib.)  I've cut the butterflies out and popped them up on foam tape and finished by adding some rhinestones to the corners.

Stamps - Filigree Journal Covers, Floral Flourishes Background, Butterfly Dreams (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink Cardstock
Ink - Memento Rose Bud, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copic Markers, Copic Ink, Spellbinders Marvelous Squares Dies, White and Pink Ribbons, Rhinestones, Scissors, X-press It Foam Tape.

Boys Make The World Go Round!

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 5 of the JustRite Papercraft May Release!  Today is one for the BOYS!!!  As a Mum of two boys, sometimes it's hard to find/create just the right thing for a young man and today's two sets - All Boy and Pattern Basics are going to make that job a lot easier!!!

I've created my card with a base of Old Olive and layered with Chocolate Chip.  Next I took a piece of white and stamped the stars from Pattern Basics across it in Memento Cantaloupe ink.  Next I stamped another piece of white with the dots in Memento Bamboo Leaves ink and matted with more Chocolate Chip.  The sentiment from All Boy has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut out with the smaller element from 5x7 Elegant Labels Four, airbrushed with Y35 and E23 Copic and attached with some dark yellow grosgrain ribbon.  The scooter from All Boy has been stamped in Bamboo Leaves and fussy cut and popped up on foam tape and to finish I've added a couple of notched tags created by stamping the chevron stamp in Rich Cocoa and cutting out with JustRite's Vintage Label and Banner die.

Stamps - All Boy, Pattern Basics (JustRite)
Paper - White, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Ink - Memento Cantaloupe, Rich Cocoa, Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - JustRite Vintage Labels and Banner Die, Spellbinders 5x7 Elegant Labels Four, Dark Yellow Grosgrain Ribbon, Scissors, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.

Be A Traveler!

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 4 of the JustRite Papercraft May Release!!  Today it's all about travel!!  There are three sets being showcased today and I've used two for my card - Explore Vintage Labels Four and The Journey Background.
I've decided to go a little masculine vintage today by using a base of River Rock and layering with Night of Navy.  The next panel is Very Vanilla and I've stamped The Journey Background in Memento Desert Sand and airbrushed some Copic E84 around the edges for a old world feel.  Down the side is a piece of May Arts Mesh and topped with a piece of blue ribbon that has been notched.  The balloon image from Explore Vintage Labels Four has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured with Copics (E51, B21, B32, B34, R46) and cut out with JustRite Vintage Labels Four Dies.  Have you noticed that the original stamp in the set has the USA Flag?  Welllllll.......I decided to see if I could make it into an Australian one since I'm an Aussie girl.  :)  I very carefully wiped the ink off that spot and then coloured it like the Australian flag adding a little white pen for the stars.  :)  I've finished by stamping the sentiment (airbrushing again) and creating a notched tag and then adding a few chocolate pearls to the top corner.

Stamps - Explore Vintage Labels Four, The Journey Background (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, River Rock, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla
Ink - Memento Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Copics, JustRite Vintage Labels Flour Dies, May Arts Mesh, Blue Ribbon, Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls, X-press It High Tack Tape.

A Picture Says A Thousand Words

Hello Everyone and welcome to another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!  If you've jetted in from Sasha's blog in beautiful England, then you have arrived at the correct destination!!!  If you've landed here by chance and don't want to miss all the beautiful creations the team have for you today, you can start your journey back at the Flourishes Blog!

Don't forget you can WIN a stamp set of your choice, simply by leaving comments on each of the team's blogs.  You won't know which blog is this month's special destination, so make sure you comment on each one!!!  :)

I'm the hostess today and have challenged the girls to create a project where  'A Picture Says A Thousand Words'.  What this means is to create a project with only an image.....no sentiment and tell us what this image means to us!

I chose the beautiful dressmakers' form from Feminine Charm because it reminds me of my Grandmother!  My Grandma was a dressmaker for about 80 years and made all the wedding gowns for the girls in the family and although she is 'retired' from dressmaking now (being a spritely 91yrs old), I have such fond memories of visiting her when I was young and there was a dress form in her spare room along with old industrial sewing machines and overlockers not to mention an amazing collection of all things related to sewing!  I remember her telling me that her favourite colours were 'Autumn Tones' which, as a child was a little confusing since we live in the sub-tropics and the leaves are green all year round here!  So today I've created my card to reflect her love of Autumn Tones and sewing!

I hope you've enjoyed your visit here in Australia, your next destination on today's Beautiful World Tour is.........Aleksandra is Slovenia!!

Irises For Mum!

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 1 of the JustRite Papercraft May release!!  Aren't these Irises GORGEOUS!!!!  They are part of a beautiful new set called Irises Vintage Labels Four which are designed to perfectly match JustRite's Vintage Labels Four dies!!  :)

Not only is this set such fun to colour, but I also *love* that it comes with the sentiment 'MUM' as well as 'MOM', so it doesn't matter what part of the world you live in, you'll have the perfect spelling for your mother!!  :)  Since I have a MUM, I've used that spelling for my card today!

I've used a base of Very Vanilla and then cut a piece of purple bazzill and trimmed the end with Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One.  Next I've taken a piece of DP and trimmed it with another die from the A2 Bracket Borders One.  Around these layers I've attached some ivory and purple satin ribbons.  I've stamped the Iris frame from Irises Vintage Labels Four in Memento Tuxedo Black twice onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (B60, B63, B66, YG11, YG13, YG17, G99, Y35, E51).  On one of the stamped images, I've only coloured the irises and fussy cut it.  The other, I've cut with the frame and inner oval with JustRite Vintage Labels Four dies.  Next I've stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and cut it out with the JustRite Vintage Label and Banner die and secured it with a bow.  To finish I've added a few Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the top corners.

Stamps - Irises Vintage Labels Four (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Purple Bazzill, DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One Dies, JustRite Vintage Labels Four Dies, JustRite Vintage Label and Banner Dies, Ivory and Purple Satin Ribbons, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Blush Pearls, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.
