Rock Star

Hello Everyone!  This is a card I made for my son's birthday last week, I'm only just now getting around to blogging it.  I actually used the My Favorite Things Sketch 162 (MFTWSC162), but of course I'm way to late to enter that challenge!

Anyway, I tried to make it to suit a 12yr old boy and he seemed to like it so I guess it passed!  :)  I've used Kraft, Baked Brown Sugar, Riding Hood Red and Kaisercraft Attitude DP.  The guitar and star diecut are made with MFT Die-namics LLD Accent It - Rock and Roll.  The sentiment is from A La Modes Rock Star and stamped in Tuxedo Black.

Not my usual style but it was fun to do something a bit different for my pre-teen!  :)

Stamps - A La Modes Rock Star (MFT)
Paper - Kraft, Baked Brown Sugar, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Kaisercraft Attitude DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Die-namics Rock and Roll, Scissors

Thanks for visiting!

Time for Thanks

Hello Everyone!!  It's the final day of the JustRite Papercraft February release and today it's all about TIME.  Don't know about you, but I always need some more time!  :)  Time Heals Vintage Labels Seven is a set of 6 clear stamps with fabulous vintage styled images which are perfect for masculine or feminine cards.

I've used a base of Blushing Bride and layered with white and two pieces of Magnolia Grove DP.  Down one side I've attached a piece of lace and stamped the sentiment as shown.  I've stamped the clock from Time Heals in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured it with RV32 Copic Marker and cut it out with JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Dies.  Next I've cut a piece of white with Spellbinders' Floral Oval Nestabilities and airbrushed it with RV32 Copic.  I've put the two layers together and popped them up on foam tape.  To finish I've taken pearl flourishes to add a little bling to the corners.  :)

Stamps - Time Heals Vintage Labels Seven (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blushing Bride, White, Kaisercraft Magnolia Grove DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa
Accessories - JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Dies, Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities, RV32 Copic, Airbrush, Lace, Pearl Flourish, Foam Tape.

Rose Postcard

Hello Everyone!!  Did you enjoy all the Hydrangea goodness that the JustRite Papercraft team had for you yesterday??  Well today it's all about Roses!  Actually it's a gorgeous background called Rose Postcard Background that we are showcasing today.  Just because it's a background doesn't mean that's all you can use it for, use part of it for a tag or accent panel....or even fussy cut it and use the flower elements on their own!
I've created a base of white, then layered it with a piece of purple to completely cover the front.  Over this I've attached a piece of vanilla card die cut with Spellbinders Exquisite Labels Eleven.  Around this I've attached a piece of ivory satin ribbon.  Next I've stamped the Rose Postcard Background in Memento Rich Cocoa onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copic Markers.  (Flowers - V20, V22, V25, V28; Leaves YG61, YG63, YG67, E23; Butterfly E50, E51, E53, B0000; Edges E50).  I've used a pair of scissors to trim the image and then popped it up on foam tape.  To finish, I've added a bow and some pearls to accent.

Stamps - Rose Postcard Background (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Purple, Vanilla
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Exquisite Labels Eleven, Ivory Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Blush Pearls, X-press It Foam Tape, Scissors, Glue.

Just wait until you see all the floral beauties that the team have for you today!

Hydrangea Birthday Wishes

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have some beautiful flowers to show you and I'm sure many of you are totally over all the snow you've been experiencing and looking forward to spring!  What is more Spring like than a beautiful bunch of flowers?!  JustRite Papercraft are releasing a new set called Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven, which matches beautifully with their Vintage Labels Seven Die Set.  I just love this set and of course it's perfect to COLOUR!  YAY!!  :)
http://justritepapercraft.com/products/hydrangea-blooms-clear-stamps

I've created my base out of white card using the Romantic Rectangles Spellbinders Die and while still in the die, I've airbrushed it with Copic B63 (aptly named Light Hydrangea).  Over this I've added a white piece cut with Floral Ovals (lightly airbrushed with B60 Copic) and then attached a piece of white ribbon across it.  The oval panel has been made cutting two ovals (Classic Ovals Large) and then one of them I've die cut again using Fancy Lattice Die.  I've stamped the butterfly and the hydrangea from Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured them with Copic Markers (Butterfly - E23, Y21, Y35, Y38, YR24; Hydrangea G40, G43, G46, E23, B60, B63, B66, C2).  Finally, I've cut a piece of white using the sentiment die from Vintage Labels Seven Dies and trimmed it to only the end and stamped the sentiment on it, attached it as showed and covered it with a bow.

Stamps - Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Dies; Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, Floral Ovals, Class Ovals Large, Fancy Lattice; White Ribbon, Bow Easy, X-press It Foam Tape, Scissors, Glue.

Loved By A Grandparent

Hello Everyone!  Today the JustRite Papercraft team are kicking off the February Release with a clear set called Happy Occasion Belly Band Two (which is designed to match the new Belly Band Two Spellbinders Dies) and a simply gorgeous and elegant background called Diamond Filigree Cling Background.  Both of these wonderful sets are designed by our very own Becca Feeken!

I've used a base of red and layered with vanilla card.  Next I've taken a piece of Kraft card and stamped the Diamond Filigree Cling Background in Memento Rhubarb Stalk on it and trimmed to size.  I've attached a piece of red card punched with the Iron Gate Border Punch and topped with a piece of ivory ribbon.  Then, I've cut two flourishes using Spellbinders' Jewel Flowers and Flourishes dies and attached as shown and embellished with Prima flowers.  The sentiment (isn't it a wonderful one - I'm so blessed to still have two of my wonderful grandparents!) is from Happy Occasion Belly Band Two and is stamped in Tuxedo Black and cut out with JustRite's Vintage Labels Seven Die and lightly airbrushed with R56 Copic while still in the die.  I've then popped this die cut up on foam tape and finished with a few pearls in the top corner.

Stamps - Diamond Filigree Background, Happy Occasion Belly Band Two (JustRite)
Paper - Red, Vanilla, Kraft
Ink - Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Dies, Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes Dies, Ivory Ribbon, MS Iron Gate Border Punch, Prima Flowers, R56 Copic and airbrush, Foam Tape, Pearls.
