JustRite Speedy Recovery

Hello Everyone!  Today I was inspired by this week's Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper challenge - which was a green and white card with a trio of images across the middle - called Jaunty Trees. I decided to play with a JustRite stamp set that arrived on my doorstep recently called Meadow Circles and added a few extra layers, some ribbon and made the sentiment into a notched tag. This fun set has circle images in various sizes and two of the sizes match the recently released Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles dies (which also has 2 stitched circle dies in it!).  Happy Sigh!  I love when things match beautifully!!  :)

I've used a base of Wild Wasabi and layered with cream and some Graphic 45 DP.  Across this is a strip of Chocolate Chip punched with Woodland Branch border punch and topped with some green ribbon.  I've stamped three of the images from Meadow Circles in green ink and cut the with the matching circle die from Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles.  I've glued these to a panel of cream card that has been stamped with Crackle Background in Desert Sand ink and them popped it all up on foam tape.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment, also from Meadow Circles in black and then cut it into a notched tag and attached as shown.

Stamps - Meadow Circles, Crackle Background (JustRite)
Paper - White, Cream, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP
Ink - Green, Black, Desert Sand
Accessories - JustRite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles, MS Woodland Branch Border Punch, Green Ribbon, X-press It Foam Tape, Glue

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

JustRite Sympathy

Hello Everyone! Today I was playing around in my craftroom and trying to do some watercolour pieces - which all ended up in the bin!  So don't look for them soon, they aren't coming back!  Perhaps it was frustration, or perhaps it's because I have known so many friends to have lost their loved ones of late, that I decided to make a Sympathy card.  To escape from the watercolour disaster, I've reached for Lilies and Butterflies by JustRite Papercraft and had some therapeutic mix and match stamping!

I've used a base of River Rock (is this still available? Not sure, but I really like this colour) and punched the bottom with the Deco Shell border punch.  Next is a piece of Marina Mist cut with the largest rectangle from A2 Stitched Banners and Rectangles and attached some white ribbon around it.  I've then cut a piece of white card with the smaller rectangle, also from A2 Stitched Banners and Rectangles and stamped a variety of stamps from the Lilies and Butterflies clear stamp set to create the finished image.  The sentiment is from Sweet Flowers and Vines, stamped in black and then I've sponged around the edges with Antique Linen ink.  To finish I've used one of my favourite new products - Nuvo Crystal Drops - in Wedgewood Blue.  I love this stuff!!  :)

Stamps - Lilies and Butterflies, Sweet Flowers and Vines (JustRite)
Paper - White, River Rock, Marina Mist
Ink - Bamboo Leaves, Lulu Lavender, Crystal Blue, Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen
Accessories - JustRite A2 Stitched Banners and Rectangles, White Satin Ribbon, MS Deco Shell Border Punch, Nuvo Crystal Drops

That's all from me today, my sanity has been somewhat restored - may your day be fun and creative and hope you are inspired to stamp!

Power Poppy Hop Day!!!

Hello Everyone!  I hope you've been following all the releases this week because they are all available to buy RIGHT NOW!!!  YAY!!!  If you've missed any, have a peek at the Power Poppy Blog and pop by the Bloom Brigade blogs for lots of inspiration!  Today I've made a fun card for a younger person.  Like a lot of kids my daughter has had a bit of a tough time at school lately, so when I saw the set, Small But Mighty Affirmations,  I immediately thought of her.  I have to say, I love the look of this set - to be able to inspire and lift people up can be so powerful - I have so many ideas for playing with Small But Mighty Affirmations!

I've used a base of pink and layered with white and two pieces of DP.  Across the join I've added some mesh and blue satin ribbon.  The next panel is more white topped with DP and underneath one side I've added a few notched tags made out of X-press It Glitter Deco Tape.  I've stamped part of the sentiment from Small But Mighty Affirmations (I've had to avoid the bottom so it would fit in the frame) in pink and added the little heart stamp to the top corner and then cut it out with Labels Eight.  I've matted this with pink cut with Decorative Labels Eight and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've accented with rhinestones, sequins and a bow.

Stamps - Small But Mightly Affirmations (Power Poppy)
Paper - Pink, White, MME Ooh La La DP
Ink - Pink, Black
Accessories - X-press It Foam Tape, X-press It Glitter Deco Tape, Spellbinders Labels Eight and Decorative Labels Eight, Rhinestones, Sequins, Blue Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Mesh

Planning for Magnolias

Hello Everyone!  Get excited - it's time for another Power Poppy release and there are FIVE clear stamp sets being previewed this week!!  Today we have a beautiful new set called Planning for Magnolias for you to have a peek at and hope you love it as much as we do!  :)

I'm sure anyone who follows the Power Poppy Blog will know of Marcy's love of all things plant/floral related and this passion comes from her Mom who had a real love of Magnolias.  I saw the picture below that Marcy had posted on her Instagram account that came from her Mom's garden - magnolias called 'Coral Lake' and I loved the pink centres and coral/peachy edged petals.  Aren't they beautiful?  They were the inspiration for my colour palette for today's card.

I've used a base of Blushing Bride, punched the bottoms with a border punch and layered with Chocolate chip and some Secret Garden DP.  Over this I've attached more Blushing Bride cut with Decorative Labels Eight die and around the layers added a wide white ribbon.  The large Magnolia image from Planning for Magnolias has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (R00, R81, R83, R85, E43, E44, E49, G40, G43, G46, B0000, B000, B00) and cut with Labels Eight Dies.  I've stamped the sentiment, also from Planning for Magnolias and cut it out with Small Oval Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added several dots of Silver Crystal Drops to give the effect of pearls.

Stamps - Planning for Magnolias (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Secret Garden DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

Happy Birthday Dad!

Hello Everyone!  Today is my Dad's birthday so of course I had to make him a card!  I guess there are all sorts of things that you can use for the dreaded MAN card, but Dad *LOVES* ice-cream, anytime, anywhere.......seriously, I have seen him eat it for breakfast (admittedly I was a kid when that happened), but you get the idea.  :)  So I decided to reach for an older, but still available JustRite stamp set called The Scoop Vintage Labels Four that has a couple of big ice-cream cones in it!  I decided on the scoop over the soft serve because then you can make it a double!  :)

I've used a base of Marina Mist and layered with white and some Happy Days DP - love the retro feel (bit like Dad LOL - Mum, don't tell him I said that!). Next I've cut a piece of Marina Mist with Majestic Labels 25 and cut this in half and attached to the front.  Over the space where the cut is, I've attached another piece of Happy Days DP.  Then I've cut a piece of white using Labels 25, airbrushed it with Copic B14 while still in the die, popped it out and stamped the sentiment from The Scoop Vintage Labels Four on the side.  I've coloured the word 'Great' in B16 Copic.  Across the bottom I've added a couple of notched tags cut out of more Happy Days DP.  I've stamped the ice-cream cone from The Scoop Vintage Labels Four twice in Memento Rich Cocoa onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured them with Copics (E50, E51, E53, E23, E25, E27).  I've cut the second scoop and glued it to the top.  Nothing like a double scoop for your birthday right!!  :)

Stamps - The Scoop Vintage Labels Four (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Marina Mist, White, Echo Park Happy Days DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Labels 25 and Majestic Labels 25, glue, scissors

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp and also have an ice-cream kind of day!

Happy 14th Son

Hello Everyone!  I have a fun teen boy card for you today as we are celebrating my eldest child's 14th Birthday!  I can't believe it's been 14 long years since that blonde little bundle of boy arrived screaming into our world and now he's turning into this amazing young man that I have to look up to!  Yep, I'm very short and have to look into his shoulder now!  SIGH!  Zac we love you and are so very proud of you - happy birthday son and may the year ahead be awesome and fun filled!

I've used a base of Marina Mist and layered with white and some Graphic 45 DP.  Next is a panel of kraft with a strip of more Graphic 45 DP cut into a notched tag.  I've stamped the backpack image from Power Poppy's Well Played stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (E42, E43, E44, B91, B93, B95, B97, YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18, C1, C3, C5).  Although this set leans towards being a girly set, you can change it up to make some fabby male cards too!!  It's been cut with Deckled Edged Rectangle dies and while it was still in the die, I've sponged some Antique Linen ink around the edges and stamped the sentiment from Power Poppy's  Go Wild stamp set in the top corner.  I've popped this panel up on foam tape.  Finally I've die cut a 1 and 4 from dark yellow card and popped them up on foam tape and finished with a button on the image.  No other frilly bits or embellies because teen boys don't like that sort of thing!  :)

Stamps - Well Played, Go Wild (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Marina Mist, White, Kraft, Graphic 45 DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Deckled Edged Rectangle Die, Number Dies, X-press It Foam Tape

I hope whatever is happening in your world today that it's a great one - now I'm off to eat cake!  :)  Thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)
