I'm sure by now you've noticed that the new Christmas Ornaments set is being used with the new 2010 Heirloom Ornaments Spellbinders......Our Daily Bread designs is so proud and pleased to be chosen by the Spellbinders company as a Preferred Stamp Partner. Our partnership with Spellbinders will be a blessing to the stamping community as well, as we expand our line to include perfect match sentiments, Scriptures and images to Spellbinders products. We look forward to a long and blessed partnership with such a fine product as Spellbinders.
Today I chose to showcase the new Blessings stamp set by ODBD! The one I chose reminded me when I was a teenager and even in my 20's when life got hard, my Mum would say to me...'Count Your Blessings and put me near the top; I love you.' So I guess this card is dedicated to my wonderful Mother! :)
I started with a base of pale pink, layered with white, darker pink and some Memory Box Gossamer DP. The next panel is more dark pink layered with white that's been embossed with Victoria EF. Next I cut some dark pink with the Lacey Circles Nestabilites and glued it into place and then attached a pink satin ribbon over the top. I stamped the sentiment from Blessings in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white and cut it out with Large Circle Nestabilities and attached it over the top of the ribbon and Lacey Circles panel. Next I took some ZVA flowers and glued them and some branches (cut with the MS Branch punch) below the sentiment and at the top of the embossed panel. To finish I added a pink bow made with my Bow Easy and a few white pearls to the top corner.
Stamps - Blessings (ODBD)
Paper - Pale and Dark Pink Bazzill, White, Memory Box Gossamer DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Large Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities, ZVA Roses, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Victoria Embossing Folder, Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls.
From here, your next stop is the darling Debi and just wait until you see the beautiful card she has for you!!! :)
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the Hop!!! :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful project. My greatest Christmas Memory is the first Christmas without my Mother. I was only 6 years old. With Mom dying in November and Christmas being the next month, sure we were sad, but my Dad, being the father that he was, did all he could do to make sure his 4 girls were happy. We didn't have a lot of money, but that's not what Christmas is all about. All we wanted for Christmas was the doll house fully furnished, that we saw in the Sears Catalog and Only the doll house and we had to share it, but my sisters and I to this day (now 50 years ago) remember how special that Christmas was.

ReplyDeleteMy favourite Christmas memory ...difficult question as many to choose from. One favourite, my Dad set up the card table in front of our beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and we had homemade meat pie followed by Christmas pudding or cookies (cookies were my choice as I don't like pudding). After, we would head off to church for the service where many Christmas hymns were sung -- my favourite, Silent Night.
