Annabelle Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!  Today I have the honour of joining the AnnaBelle Stamps team as a Guest Designer!!  Thank you so much to Andrea and the girls for having me today!  Most of you would know that my username at Splitcoaststampers is Wattle - so how could I refuse the opportunity of showcasing this beautiful set called Acacia, which is a WATTLE!!!!  I can't tell you how long I have wanted someone to bring out a Wattle stamp!!!  :)  Not only that, but this set has been designed by Iwona Palamountain  (aka Chupa) and hasn't she done a beautiful job!!!  When it comes to flowers, nothing says Australia more, than the green and gold of our National Flower!

I began with a base of white card, layered with green bazzill and some October Afternoon Fly A Kite DP.  The vertical panel is more green (punched with the MS Woodland Branch punch) and topped with more DP.  Over this I've added some white organdy ribbon and then some white satin ribbon.  I've stamped the Wattle image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (Y21, Y28, Y17, YG91, G82, BG93, BG96, C5, 0).  It was cut out with Label 18 Nestabilities and then I sponged a little Memento Summer Sky around my flowers.  It is matted with more green bazzill cut with Label 17 Nestabilities and the whole panel is popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is also from Acacia and has been made into a notched tag which is adhered between the white satin bow and yellow button.  Finally I added a couple of pearl drops to the right corners.

Stamps - Acacia (AnnaBelle Stamps)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Green Bazzill, October Afternoon Fly A Kite DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Label 17, Label 18 Nestabilities, MS Woodland Branch Punch, White Organdy and White Satin Ribbon, Yellow Button, Gold Cord, Teardrop Pearls, Foam Tape.

  16. Okay, I messed up the wording on my comment - It's the national floral emblem for Australia! Gee, maybe one day I'll get my brain back. If you find it, send it over. I'll pay the postage!

  25. Great card...lovely stamp and sounds like you are the one to make the best of coloring this flower. Not familiar with this plant but it looks a bit like the lily of the flowers that we have in the states. Lovely job!!

  27. What a beautiful card and stamp, and your coloring is gorgeous! I wondered where the "wattle" came from in your user name. All I could think of was that flappy, fleshy, pendulous, wrinkly thing on a turkey's neck, and I was pretty sure that's not what you had in mind. Congrats on your guest spot! You're going to do fabulous things for them!
