April Beautiful World Tour

Hello Everyone and welcome to another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!  If you've jetted in from Bridget's Blog, then you are in the right place!!  If you've just landed here and don't want to miss all the fabulous creations from around the world, start back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog!  Don't forget that you can WIN a Flourishes stamp set of your choice simply by commenting on the hop from today right through to the 30th April!

This month, our Hostess is Anne-Elise who has challenged us to a CHILDHOOD theme!  I have chosen to use Flourishes' Strawberries stamp set.  I grew up in a small country town and every year we would drive to a near by town to go to the Strawberry Festival and we thought it was awesome!!  It became a running joke in the family when Dad went to get his bowl of strawberries and they'd ask 'Cream or Ice-cream?'....to which Dad replied, 'Yes thanks'  (meaning, I'll have both thanks).  After a while they didn't even bother to ask him and automatically added both.  :)   Not only were there beautiful strawberries to eat, but each year we *HAD* to buy one of Mrs Haywood's divine Chelsea Buns!!  Ah.....memories!  :)

I've used a base of red cardstock and layered with white cut with Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight.  Around the A2 Filigree Delight layer I've attached white and red satin ribbons.  I've stamped the strawberry basket from the Strawberries stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (R30, R32, R35, R37, R39, RV99, E42, E44, E47, E49, E50, E51, E53, G20, G21, G24, G28, BG0000).  I've cut this out and matted it with red cut with Flourishes' Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die, matted again with aqua cut with Large Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  I've stamped the sentiment from the same set and cut it out with the smallest of the dies in the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die set and popped it up on foam tape and finished by adding a bow to the ribbon.

Stamps - Strawberries (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Red, White, Aqua
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals, Spellbinders Large Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, A2 Filigree Delight, White and Red Satin Ribbons, Bow Easy, Foam Tape.

The next destination on your world tour today is our lovely hostess, Anne-Elise in Finland!!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your tour around the Flourishes' world!
