Happiest Holiday Blog Hop!

Hello Everyone!!!  It's HERE!!  The Power Poppy Happiest Holiday Hop is today and there are all sorts of holiday goodness to be found!!  Over the last few days the Bloom Brigade have been showcasing four gorgeous holiday sets that are available RIGHT NOW!!!! 

I have used.........Bottlebrush Holiday.....

I've used a base of Baja Breeze and layered with Old Olive and Mint Twist DP.  Then I've added another piece of Old Olive topped with Mint Twist.  I've stamped the image and sentiment (inside the banner - they have mix and match sentiments) from Bottlebrush Holiday in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (G40, G43, G46, RV000, RV00, RV02, RV04, BG11, BG13, BG15, YG21, YG23, YG25, Y21, Y35, R32, R35, R37, E50, E51, E21, E23, E25, BG0000).  It's been cut out with Small Circle Nestabilities, matted with Pink card cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and matted again with Baja Breeze cut with Spellbinders 2013 Heirloom Ornaments and popped it all up on foam tape.  I've added a silver bow and a couple of rhinestone flourishes to finish.

I've used one of the sentiments from Bottlebrush Holiday and some leftover scraps to decorate the inside of the card too!  :)

Poinsettia!

Hello Everyone!!  The Power Poppy release for October is well underway and today we are showcasing a beautiful set called Poinsettia!  Considering here in the Southern Hemisphere there is no snow and it's always so hot and humid at Christmas time, I love using Poinsettia themed cards for Christmas!

This was a fun and quick card that I think you could reproduce fairly quickly if you needed to send several at Christmas time!  I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with white (stamping the sentiment from Poinsettia at the bottom in black), So Saffron (border punched) and some 12 Days of Christmas MME DP.  Around this I've added white and yellow ribbons and added a yellow bow.  I've stamped the stocking from Poinsettia in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (G40, G43, G46, Y21, Y35, Y38, R32, R35, R37, W1, W3, N1).  I've then fussy cut it out and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a green button tied with gold cord and a few clear rhinestones!

Hi Sunshine!

Hi Everyone!  It's Friday and that means it's Power Poppy Peep of the Week Time!!  Make a card using ANY of the Power Poppy stamps, link it up to the Power Poppy Blog and you could be our Peep of the Week!!!

Today I've been colouring these fabulous images from Sunny Harvest!  I've used both semi-circular branches from Sunny Harvest, put them together and put the sentiment in the centre!  It just looks so happy don't you think??

I've used a base of Pumpkin Pie and layered with kraft and some Summer Breeze DP.  Next is another piece of kraft topped with yet more Summer Breeze and then I've attached some orange ribbon and layered with some dark ivory ribbon.  I've stamped the images and sentiment from Sunny Harvest and coloured with Copics (Y21, Y35, Y38, YR21, YR24, E33, YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18, YG93) and cut it out with Circle Nestabilities.  I've then matted it with Pumpkin Pie cut with Stately Circles Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a bow and button tied with twine to the ribbon.

Extra Grand Sentiments

Hello Everyone!  Today is Day 4 of the September JustRite Papercraft Release and we have a stamp set and a background stamp to show you!  I've used the new stamp set called Extra Grand Sentiments - and this set is perfect for letting the sentiment steal the limelight on your cards!  If you have something special today you may as well make it BIG!!  :)  I've actually made this card for my Grandfather who will be 96 on Sunday, so it's got a masculine feel and I thought 96 was a good reason to have a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the front - what do you think!!?

I've started with a base of Old Olive, layered with Baked Brown Sugar and trimmed all the corners with a corner rounder.  Next I've taken a piece of white and stamped the Retro Sparkle Background in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 29.  Down one side I've attached green and ivory ribbons.  I've stamped the sentiment from Extra Grand Sentiments in Memento Rich Cocoa and made it into a double notched tag and matted it with Chocolate Chip card.  To finish I've cut the Birds on a Wire out of Early Espresso and attached as shown.

A Flower for Your Thoughts

Hello Everyone!  It's Day 2 of the JustRite September Release and today the team have a background stamp and a clear stamp set to show you!  Today's clear stamp has been designed by our very own Becca Feeken!!  Just wait till you see the beautiful creations the team have for you!!  I've used Becca's set called A Flower for Your Thoughts.

I've used a base of white card folded and cut with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two and then cut a piece of purple bazzill to cover the front.  I've layered with Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla.  The vanilla piece I've stamped the floral corner stamp from A Flower for Your Thoughts in Memento Bamboo Leaves and then lightly coloured the flowers with V20, V22 and V25 Copic.  I've then lightly airbrushed around the edges in E55 Copic.  I've then stamped the sentiment from the same set in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out with JustRite Vintage Labels Four Die and matted it with purple bazzill cut with the same die set.  I've popped this up on X-press It Foam Tape and added a few Kaisercraft Chino Pearls to the corners.

Praying for You

Hello Everyone!!  Today is the start of the September JustRite Papercraft Release and we are showcasing two sets - Sunshine Vintage Labels Eight and Grace to You.  I've decided to use Grace to You and done in all in BLUE - my favourite colour!  :)  To complement the sentiment panel I've also used two JustRite background stamps.........no DP at all!!  Can you believe it??  LOL!!

I've started with a base of Soft Sky card and layered with Very Vanilla.  Next I've taken another piece of Vanilla and stamped the Cornflower Damask Background stamp in Memento Summer Sky.  Next I've added a piece of Baked Brown Sugar and topped it with another piece of Vanilla, this time stamped with Garden Trellis Background (you'll see more of this stamp from the DT on Friday!), also in Summer Sky ink.  Across this I've added a piece of Soft Sky card, topped with Baked Brown Sugar and then a piece of Vanilla embossed with Twisted Hearts MBossibilities.  On top of this I've cut and embossed a piece of Soft Sky using JustRite's Vintage Labels Nine Dies.  I've then stamped the frame from Grace to You in Summer Sky onto Very Vanilla and then stamped the sentiment in Rich Cocoa ink.  I've cut it with JustRite's Vintage Labels Eight Dies and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added a silver bow, white roses and white pearls.

Crate of Apples

Hello Everyone!  Today over on the Copic Oz Blog, I have a tutorial all about WOOD!  For the details about how to colour this crate, pop on over to Copic Oz.  For all the other details, keep reading below!  :)

I started by stamping the crate of apples from Power Poppy's Farmers Market set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics.  I've then die cut a piece of Sticky Barc, placed the image inside the die cut and then attached it to a piece of red card.  I decided to give the corners a 'wood burned' effect by stamping the apples in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Around the other end, I've attached some May Arts Net and topped it with Ruffled Faux Suede.    I've then stamped the sentiment, also from Farmers Market in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Very Vanilla and die cut it with Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor.  While still in the die, I've lightly airbrushed it with Copic E55 to age it a little.

I've then used some X-press It High Tac Foam Tape to adhere it to the ribbon.  I really like the High Tac Tape because it is stronger and adheres better to surfaces such as ribbons.  :)  You can tell it's High Tac because the writing inside the roll is red!  The standard Foam Tape is written in blue.  :)

I've attached the whole card front to a folded piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.

Just Smile

Hello Everyone!  It's Friday, so that means it's time for another Power Poppy Peep of the Week Challenge!!!  This challenge is super easy to play along with - simply use a Power Poppy image - any Power Poppy image!!  Don't have any yet??  It's OK, you can easily download on of their Digi Stamps right now and still play along!!  I was playing with my Copics and coloured this image from Countryside Bouquet Deluxe - isn't it simply sweet??

I started with a base of Kraft and layered with Very Vanilla and a piece of Calypso Coral cut with Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence.  On top of this is a piece of Pion DP cut with Spellbinders Labels 28 and then I've attached a piece of ivory ribbon around all the layers.  I've stamped the image and sentiment from Power Poppy's Countryside Bouquet Deluxe in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (R11, R12, R14, YG61, YG63, YG67, E50, E51, E53, BG0000).  I've cut this out with Small Oval Nestabilities and matted with Kraft cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted again with Calypso Coral cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and then popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've accented with a big bow and a few buttons and twine.
