French Lilac

Hello Everyone!!  Did you see on the 15th that Power Poppy released its latest digi in their Instant Garden??  The Instant Gardeners did a GORGEOUS job of showing off this beauty and now the Bloom Brigade get to play with it!!  My I introduce.....French Lilac!
http://powerpoppy.com/collections/digital-stamps/products/french-lilac

As a digi, this file can be made larger or smaller to fit your project design and comes with the Thinking of You sentiment.  French Lilacs come in a variety of colours, from cornflower blues, purples, pinks... and they also come in white, yellow, and red!  What colour do YOU want to make them???  I've gone with a pink/purple palette for my project, I guess that's just what called out to me.  Now I know most people would arrange this with the flower pointed up, but I went with the hanging down look - figured I'd be a bit different!  :)

I've started with a base of purple bazzill, layered with white and topped with more purple cut with Spellbinders Tranquil Moments die.  Around this I've attached a piece of silver ribbon.  I've printed the French Lilac image and sentiment onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (V01, V12, V15, V91, V93, E23, E27, YG21, YG91, YG93, YG97, R24, R59).  I've then used the largest Spellbinders Elegant Ovals die to cut it out and then popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a silver bow to the ribbon.

Stamp - French Lilac (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Purple Bazzill, White
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Tranquil Moments and Elegant Ovals, Silver Ribbon, Bow Easy, X-press It Foam Tape

I know you can't wait to see the beautiful creations the Bloom Brigade have made today, so follow the links and see what awaits!!
That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!!  :)

Thank You Daffodils

Hello Everyone!  The JustRite girls have another beautiful floral set for you today..... Thank You Daffodil!!  They are just so bright and happy don't you think and perfect for the upcoming Northern Hemisphere Spring!

And don't miss the matching SVG Thank You Daffodil Digital Cut File!!

I love florals and this one is soooooo easy to create with whether you use the SVG file or not and bound to make a statement on any of your projects!

I've used a base of (aptly named) Daffodil Delight cardstock layered with Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.  On top of this is more Daffodil Delight cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and then I've wrapped some yellow ribbon around it all.  Next I've stamped Upcycled Woodgrain Background in Memento Desert Sand onto Very Vanilla and cut with Labels 28.  Use the JR SVG Thank You Daffodil Digital Cut File to cut the exact shape.  Next stamp the image from Thank You Daffodil in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (Y21, Y35, Y38, YG11, YG13, YG17).  Stamp the sentiment directly onto the background in Memento Rich Cocoa and then pop the daffodil up on foam tape.

I've made a matching journal using a Spirax Notebook and covering with a piece of random paper from deep in my stash.  Down the side I've added a piece of Very Vanilla punched with a Lattice Border Punch topped with Chocolate Chip and more DP.  Over this I've attached some yellow ribbon.  For the feature panel, I've used a piece of Daffodil Delight topped with Very Vanilla and then used a paper piercer to pierce around the edge.  Then I've followed the steps above to finish the panel.

Stamps - Thank You Daffodil, Upcycled Woodgrain (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Bleninding Card, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Misc DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, Dessert Sand

Morning Glory

Hello Everyone!  Today is Day One of the JustRite Papercraft February Release!  The JR Girls are showcasing a GORGEOUS Morning Glory set and a fabby background called Upcycled Woodgrain today and hope you love them as much as we do!

I just loved the Morning Glory image and decided to turn it into a Journal and Card set!  For the journal, I've used a Spirax Notebook and covered the front with some Maja Designs DP, punching the edge with the Spiral Punch.  Across this I've added a panel of white punched with the iron gate border punch and layered with more Maja Designs DP and wrapped some white crochet lace around it.  Stamp the Reversed Crackle Background in Memento Desert Sand onto Very Vanilla and mat with Marina Mist.  Attach to the previous panel and then wrap some blue ribbon around both.  Stamp the Morning Glory image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and colour with Copics (B60, B63, B66, G40, G43, G46, YR30).  Cut with Labels 25 and mat with Marina Mist cut with Majestic Labels 25.  I've finished by adding initials and clear rhinestones.

The card is made with a base of Marina Mist layered with Very Vanilla and some Maja Designs DP.  Wrap blue and white ribbons around the layers.  Follow the steps above for stamping, colouring and constructing the feature panel.  Stamp the sentiment in black, cut with an oval border punch and pop up on foam tape.  Finish with a bow.

Orchids Rock

Hello Everyone!  It's Day One of an absolutely awesome Power Poppy Release!!  Just wait until you see all the sets this week!  Today we have one of my favourite florals.....orchids!  These gorgeous flowers love to grow where I live, although the Lady Slipper Orchid I've featured today is actually found across North America, Asia and Europe.  It's also the state flower of Minnesota and official provincial flower of Canada's Prince Edward Island!  Let me introduce you to ORCHIDS ROCK!

I've used a base of Rich Razzleberry layered with some Cottage Wall (ret.) DP and then wrapped a piece of ribbon around the middle. Next I've cut another piece of Rich Razzleberry with the largest die from Spellbinders' Regal Frame dies, attached it as shown and then added a piece of white ribbon over the top.  I've stamped the orchids and sentiment from Orchids Rock in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured them with Copics (G40, G43, G46, G99, RV52, RV63, RV66, RV69, YG11, Y32, C5, B0000).  I've cut this out with the second largest die from the Regal Frame set.  I've really let the orchids do all the talking on this card and finished with a bow and some buttons.

Happy Australia Day Week-End!

Hello Everyone!  Have you noticed - Inspired to Stamp has had a bit of a makeover!  Now I can post larger pictures so you can see them a bit better and streamlined the blog so it's not so busy!!!  I'm busy enough as it is, my eyes don't need to be busy as well!!  :)  If you are looking for past design work and my favourite blogs to visit you can find the tabs up above, just under the banner.

So, now that I've given you an eye full of G'day Izzy, let's have a chat about that!  This stamp is by CandiBeans and I thought she'd be *PERFECT* for Australia Day!!  For those of you who don't know, Australia Day is on January 26th, so we have a lovely long week-end downunder to celebrate!  I'm kicking off the week-end with my own celebratory card!  If you know an Aussie, why not wish them a Happy Australia Day on Monday!  :)

Now, I actually made this card last week and created a tutorial showing how to texture the kangaroo on the Copic Oz Blog - you can find all those details and Copic Colours used HERE!  The rest of the details are pretty straight forward!

I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with white and some Kaisercraft Tea Party DP.  Down one side I've added a strip of Daffodil Delight punched with Woodland Branch border punch.  Follow the instructions at Copic Oz for stamping and colouring the image and cut her out with Spellbinders Labels Thirty-Nine die.  Mat this with Old Olive cut with Labels Forty Decorative Elements.  That's it!  Super quick and easy card that is also less expensive to post!

Stamps - G'day Izzy (CandiBeans)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, White, Kaisercraft Tea Party DP
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Labels 39 and Labels 40 Decorative Elements, Woodland Branch Border Punch

That's all from me today and make sure you pop back from Tuesday as it's the Power Poppy February Release Week and you should see what the Bloomies have in store for you!!  :)  Thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)
