Divinity Divas Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone!!  Each month the Divinity Designs Team are challenged to a Colour Challenge (sorry this is not an open challenge for you to submit to, but of course if you'd like to be challenged with us for inspiration you are welcome to do so!).  Some of the Divinity Divas posted their projects last week and some of us are posting today!

I chose to use this month's new release, Festive Favors DiesFestive Favors Tag Sentiments and paired it up with Romantic Roses Paper Pad.  I know there's not a *lot* of Robin Egg Blue Green - but there's a little bit so it still passes!!  :)

I've used the Festive Favors Die to cut the pink box base and then cut pieces of Romantic Roses Paper to size to fit the front panel and top flap.  Once I secured the front panel, I've used the heart die (part of the Festive Favors Die set) to cut the heart shape.  I've then cut the flowers from the same die set using the matching pink card and Romantic Roses paper.  I've cut the tag also using the same Festive Favors Die set and then stamped the sentiment from Festive Favors Tag Sentiments and attached the tag as shown.  I've filled a small clear bag with chocolates as a gift inside.  :)

Stamps - Festive Favors Tag Sentiments (DD)
Ink - Black
Paper - Divinity Designs Romantic Roses Paper Pad, Pink
Accessories - Divinity Designs Festive Favors Dies, Pearls, Glue

Power Poppy Friday!

Hello Everyone!!  Can you believe that January is nearly over!!  Me neither!  Here in Australia it has been school holidays through January and all the kidlets go back to school next week - maybe life will go back into some sort of routine.....or the crazy will just ramp up, I'm not sure!  LOL!!

Today I'm using Bee Kind Toile!  This is a fun mix and match set and I've created the focal image using the various images to create the frame and added the cake image into the center.  I've stamped this all up on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I've cut this to size and cropped the corners with a corner rounder and matted with some aqua card.  The card base is more aqua topped with cream and some Golden Grove paper.  Around the base I've added some ivory ribbon and topped with a bow.  I've added the image panel as shown and then stamped the banner image and matching sentiment also from Bee Kind Toile, fussy cut it and popped it up on foam tape.

Stamps - Bee Kind Toile (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Aqua, Cream, Kaisercraft Golden Grove Paper

Fun with the Divinity Designs Release

Hello Everyone!!  Today the Divinity Divas are playing with the latest release by Divinity Designs!

I've used the Festive Favors Dies to cut the red base and then cut a piece of Birthday Bash Collection Paper to cover the front.  Once the paper is attached, I've used the circle die in the Festive Favors Die set to cut the circle opening.  I've cut a piece of cream card to layer the top flap and then attached some blue ribbon.  I've cut the tag (using Festive Favors again) out of white card and stamped the sentiment from Festive Favors Tag Sentiments and secured it with a blue button.  The balloons have also been cut using the dies from Festive Favors and glued to the front as shown.

Stamps - Festive Favors Tag Sentiments (DD)
Ink - Black
Paper - Divinity Designs Birthday Bash Collection, Red, White, Cream, Yellow, Blue, Kraft
Accessories - Divinity Designs Festive Favors Dies, Blue Ribbon, Blue Button, Twine

For my second project, I've been playing with Lemon Branch, one of the new stamp sets released this month.  I really wanted the image to take center stage, so the card itself is very clean and simple.  I've used a base of Kraft card and added a strip of green across the middle and topped that with some spotted Shabby Pastels paper.  I've stamped the image and sentiment from Lemon Branch onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I've cut this out with Pierced Circles Dies and matted with yellow card cut with Large Banner Dies.

Stamps - Lemon Branch (DD)
Ink - Black
Paper - DD Shabby Pastels Paper Pad, X-press It Blending Card, Yellow, Green
Accessories - DD Dies: Pierced Circles, Large Banner; Glue
