JustRite Happy Chrysanthemums

Hello Everyone!!  I hope you've all had a lovely Easter!  It's starting to get cooler here as we head into Autumn, but really it's still pretty warm here (probably like Summer for many of my Northern Hemisphere friends) and the kids can still get in the pool over the school holidays!  :)  I didn't really have anything in mind except that I wanted to colour this Chrysanthemum  image and it kind of evolved into something resembling a country theme - I have to say blue and yellow together always makes me feel happy, so the finished card just makes me smile!  :)

I've used a base of Marina Mist and topped with white cut with Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles and a piece of Carta Bella DP.  Over this I've attached a strip of white and then wrapped a piece of green ribbon around all layers.  I've stamped the flower and sentiment from Chrysanthemums in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (Y21, Y35, Y38, YR23, G21, G24, G28).  This has been cut with Labels 28 and while still in the die I've added some B0000 Copic around the edges.  I've matted this with Marina Mist cut with Decorative Labels 28 and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a green bow and topped it with a yellow button tied with twine.

Stamps - Chrysanthemums (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Marina Mist, White, Carta Bella It's A Girl DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, JustRite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles, Spellbinders Labels 28 and Decorative Labels 28, Green Ribbon, Bow Easy, Yellow Ribbon, Twine, X-press It Foam Tape

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!!  :)

Happy Joyful Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!  I hope whatever you have planned for today that it is a happy and joyful day for you!!  We went to church and then had a lovely BBQ lunch sitting outside and enjoying the cooler weather now that Summer is coming to a close.  Later in the day I had a peek in at Splitcoaststampers and saw that this week's Featured Stamper challenge was up and I was inspired by THIS CARD with it's aqua and pink colour palette and I honestly was planning on making this a simpler card but it just morphed into what you see above!  :)

I've used a base of white and layered with Pool Party cut with A2 Divine Eloquence.  Around this I've attached a piece of white ribbon.  Next I've added layers of white cut with Labels 28 and Pool Party cut with A2 Divine Eloquence.  The cross and lily image is Joyful Lilies - a digi stamp set by Power Poppy.  I really love that it comes with the lilies on their own as well as on the cross plus two sentiments!!  I've printed this out onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (BG11, BG13, RV000, RV91, RV32, RV34, YG13, YG63, YG67, G99, BV13) and cut it out with Labels 28.  I've printed the sentiment from Joyful Lilies, cut it out with Small Circle Nestabilties, airbrushed it pink and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon.

Stamps - Joyful Lilies (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pool Party, White
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Labels 28, Small Circle Nestabilties and A2 Divine Eloquence, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, X-press It Foam Tape

JustRite Pink Silhouettes

Hello Everyone!  Today I've been playing with Floral Silhouettes One and decided to go with a dash of pink and a touch of vintage.  I was inspired by the colours of a paper pad I picked up called Apple Bloom by Tilda with it's warm greens and pretty soft pinks.  I thought the silhouettes would stand out in all the pink!

I've used a base of River Rock and layered with Blushing Bride, White and Apple Bloom.  Down one side is a strip of white topped with more Apple Bloom DP and then attached some pink ribbon around all the layers.  I've stamped a few of the Floral Silhouettes One images (including the butterfly) and sentiment onto white card, cut it with Decorative Labels 28 and airbrushed it with Copic R81, R83 and R85 while still in the die.  I've matted this with River Rock cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and attached as shown.  To finish I've added a bow and a couple of clear rhinestones to the top corner.

Stamps - Floral Silhouettes One (JustRite)
Paper - River Rock, Blushing Bride, White, Tilda Apple Bloom DP

Nesting with Power Poppy!

Hello Everyone!!  It's Power Poppy Friday - a day where the Bloomies can share one of their latest Power Poppy creations.  If you want to join in this month's Power and Spark Challenge, you still have all month to do that too!  You can find all the details for that HERE!!

It seems I can't escape this week's attachment to Birds, as I have a nest creation today!!  Perhaps next week I can return to my lovely flowers, but until then, I hope you've been enjoying 'Bird Week' and will like this nest wreath!  :)  Easter is coming up so fast considering that it's at the end of March - it will be here before we know it, so I decided to use the Easter sentiment that is in the Bloomin' Wonderful set to pop inside this sweet wreath!  :)

I've used a base of pink layered with white pierced around the edges and topped with some DP.  Across the middle is another piece of DP topped with green ribbon.  I've stamped the nest wreath from Bloomin' Wonderful in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (YG11, YG13, YG17, E000, E01, E50, E51, E53, E55, E81, E84, E87, E89, RV00, RV52, RV55).  It's been cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and layered with pink cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a bow and some rhinestones to the top corner.

Stamps - Bloomin' Wonderful (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink, White, Echo Park Happy Easter DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Large Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Clear Rhinestones, X-press It Foam Tape, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack

Tickled Pink!

Hello Everyone!!  Can you believe it - its ANOTHER BIRD card for the week!!!  As I said in my last post I'm not really a 'bird' person, but for some reason I can't seem to escape them this week!  LOL!!  Welcome to Bird Week!  :)  This time I was thinking of a friend (Hi Katherine!) who likes a specific type of bird - Flamingos!  I picked up this Flamingos Die and companion stamp set called Tickled Pink by MFT a little while ago but have been too busy to play until now.  It's always fun to play with new toys and I have ideas for other people with these sets too!  I can see more birds in my future!!  :)

I've used a pink base and layered with Chocolate Chip (punched with a border punch), topped with white and some Cherry Blossom DP.  Across this I've added another strip of chocolate topped with more DP that has the sentiment from Tickled Pink across it as well as some brown and pink ribbons.  I've cut white and pink card with Circle and Stately Circle Nestabilities and trimmed the side.  The flamingo is made using MFT's Flamingo Dienamics cutting pink and black card as well as some DP for the wing.  To finish I've added a few rhinestones to the top corner.

Stamps - Tickled Pink (MFT)
Paper - Pink, White, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Cherry Blossom DP
Ink - Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories - MFT Flamingos Dienamics, Circle and Stately Circle Nestabilities, MS Deco Fan Border Punch, Brown and Pink Ribbons, Clear Rhinestones

JustRite Birdie Friends

Hello Everyone!  It was my day off from work today and I was able to play with this super cute set by JustRite Papercraft called Doodled Birds!  How could you resist such cute birdies on their long (and not so long) legs???  I also like that you can mix and match the sentiments in the set.  :)  I'm not particularly a 'bird' person, but I know people who most definitely are and thought this would be a perfect sentiment to make into a card to give!  What do you think??  Have you got 'bird' friends too??

This is a super quick card that you can whip up in no time!  I've used a pink base and layered with kraft. Then cut a piece of Wild Wasabi with JustRite Stitched A2 Banners and Rectangles (*I LOVE THIS DIE SET*) and top with some cute DP.  Around this I've added some Mesh.  The birdies and sentiments from Doodled Birds have been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV52, RV55, BG11, BG13, Y21, Y35).  I've cut this out with Rectangle Nestabilities and matted with pink card and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added a few buttons.

Stamps - Doodled Birds (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink, Wild Wasabi, Kraft, Summer Breeze DP

Folk Heart Wishes

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have a little birdie goodness for you with this super cute image from Power Poppy's new set called Folk Heart!  This is just one of the adorable images in this set, but I had a bird loving friend in mind when I made it, so it was the first one I reached for.  Doesn't this little tweeter look happy to you?!!  :)

I've used a base of Wild Wasabi and layered with white (pierced around the edges) and topped with some Carta Bella It's A Girl DP.  Down the middle is another piece of Wasabi cut into a notched tag.  The image from Folk Heart has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (R12, R14, Y21, Y35, Y38, G40, G43, G46, E84, E87).  It's been cut out with Circle Nestabilities and matted with Coral card cut with Delightful Circles.  The sentiment is from Dynamic Duos Peonies and Tulips, stamped in black, cut with Labels 33, airbrushed with R12 Copic while still in the die and then popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've accented with brown buttons.

JustRite Amazing Chrysanthemums

Hello Everyone!  Today over on the Copicmarker Blog I have a tutorial on colouring embellishments to match your crafting projects!  For this card I started with a white, sheer ribbon and coloured it pink, a wooden button and coloured it green using the Copic Airbrush System and then coloured some rhinestones pink also.  I've used the colours from the Chrysanthemum to also colour the embellishments.  The image is from JustRite Papercraft's new Chrysanthemums set!

I've used a base of white and layered with pink and more white (embossed with an embossing folder).  On top of this is pink cut with Resplendent Rectangles and then attached the coloured ribbon around all the layers.  The image and sentiment from Chrysanthemums has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (check out the Copicmarker Blog for colour details).  It has been cut with the smaller die from Resplendent Rectangles and attached as shown.  To finish I've embellished with rhinestones and button that have been coloured with Copics.

Stamps - Chrysanthemums (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink, White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, White Ribbon, Wood Button, Clear Rhinestones, Embossing Folder

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp (and colour your own custom embellishments)!!!
