(US Time - 11am Wednesday 23rd AEST.)
Today I've used the new Cling set called Vintage Oval Labels!!  How beautiful is this!!!  :)  I started with a base of aqua bazzill and layered with white and chocolate chip.  Next I took two pieces of MME Hazel DP (thanks Liz!!) and sewed around the edges.  Under the top piece I've added a piece of white punched with the single embossed curve punch and a piece of chocolate cut with the MS Deco Fan punch.  I stamped the large label stamp from Vintage Oval Labels in Memento Rich Cocoa on X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (BG10, BG72, G12).  I used the largest of the Labels 13 Spellbinders dies to cut out the image with my Grand Calibur.
Once it was cut out, I popped it up on foam tape in the middle of the card.  Across the bottom I added some white satin ribbon and topped with aqua grosgrain ribbon, a bow and a ZVA rose.  I thought the corners could use a little something, so I stamped them using one of the decorative elements also from Vintage Oval Labels in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Finally I added a butterfly and decorated with white pearls.

Stamps - Vintage Oval Labels (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Aqua Bazzill, White, Chocolate Chip, MME Hazel DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Copics, Labels 13 Nestabilities, MS Deco Fan Punch, MS Butterfly Punch, EK Single Embossed Curve Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Aqua Grosgrain Ribbon, Bow Easy, ZVA Rose, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

Hello Everyone!!  Today over at the JustRite Blog, the latest challenge is asking us to create a Just Because for a Random Act of Kindness or Thank You card.  The prize is awesome and includes the opportunity to win the My Rainbow set that I've used today!!

I've had a crazy kind of week, so this is a quick and easy card, beginning with a base of aqua and layered with white and chocolate chip and then two pieces of MME Hattie DP.  Across the join I've added a piece of cream ribbon.  I've stamped the sentiment from My Rainbow in Memento Rich Cocoa onto white and cut out with Small Oval Nestabilities, matting with More Mustard cut with Beaded Oval Nestabilities and popped it up on top of a layer of chocolate cut with Label 16 Nestabilities.  (I just *love* my nesties!!)  To finish I added a few Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls to the top corners.

Stamps - My Rainbow (JustRite)
Paper - Aqua Bazzill, White, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, MME Hattie DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Small Oval, Beaded Oval and Label 16 Nestabilities, Creme Satin Ribbon, Chocolate Pearls, Foam Tape.

Happy Birthday KELLIE!!!!

Today the JustRite Girls are celebrating the birthday of our amazing Design Team Coordinator - Kellie!!!  Not only does she look after us incredibly well and keep us organised, she is one of the loveliest people you'll ever meet - we are SO LUCKY to have her!!!  So Kellie, a huge Happy Birthday today and may you be blessed with a wonderful year ahead!!  {{{BIG HUGS}}}

You can find Kellie's Blog HERE if you'd like to pop over and leave a little Birthday Love!!  :)

Today I've decided to use a few of the JustRite products in Kellie's honour :) - Beautiful Day (for the lilies), Elegant Frames (for the frame and the sentiment inside), Nested Frames Dies (to cut the frame and the accent behind the lilies), Nested Sentiment Dies (for the inside sentiment) and of course Copic Markers!

I started with a base of aqua bazzill and layered with white and some MME Mabel DP (two patterns) - I just can't seem to stop using this fabulous paper!!!  :)  Across the join I've added some white lace and topped with white satin ribbon.  I then created a border using the Martha Stewart Deco Fan punch out of aqua bazzill.  I stamped the large frame from Elegant Frames in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut it out using Nested Frames Dies and then used another die from the same set to create the aqua accent panel.  The lilies are from Beautiful Day and have been stamped on X-press It Blending Card in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (YR12, YR16, YR18, YG11, YG13, YG17).  Then I cut it out using Petite Ovals Large, matted with Pumpkin Pie cut with the matching Scallop Oval.  I then popped the entire panel up on foam tape.  To finish I added a white satin bow and some Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to the corners.
I then added a little decorating to the inside by adding a strip of MME Mabel DP across the bottom and then stamped the sentiment from Elegant Frames in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white and cutting it out using Nested Sentiment Dies (and I added a little airbrushing with YR12.)

Stamps - Beautiful Day, Elegant Frames (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Aqua Bazzill, Pumpkin Pie, MME Mabel DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Nested Frames Dies (JR), Nested Sentiment Dies (JR), MS Deco Fan Border and Corner Punches, White Crochet Lace, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

Fluttering Butterflies

Hello Everyone!!!  Today's card was made especially for the Butterfly Blog Linky Party which was created by Eva Dobilas!  She's counting down to Spring and wants to see some butterflies and asked a lot of blog friends to join in the fun!!!  To find the list of all those playing along go to Eva's Blog, For the Love of Life!

When I thought of butterflies, I reached for my Butterflies and Blossoms set by Flourishes - love this beautiful set!  I stamped the flowers and butterflies onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (flowers: 0, BV00, BV02, BV04, G20, G21, G24; Butterflies: YR12, YR16, YR18, YR24, C1, B000).  The butterflies were cut out and popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.  I airbrushed around the flowers to make the paper more creamy than stark white and cut it with Large Circle Nestabilities, matting with Pumpkin Pie cut with Lacey Circles.  The pretty paper is from the new MME Mabel Colletion 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  (*sigh* so happy MME comes in 6 x 6 now!!)  Added a little ivory ribbon at the bottom and topped with a notched tag made with Tag Lines.  Finished with an ivory bow, pale orange button and a little gold cord.

Stamps - Butterflies and Blossoms, Tag Lines (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Aqua Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, MME Mabel DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Circle Nestabilities, Lacey Circle Nestabilities, MS Arch Lattice Punch, Ivory Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Button, Gold Cord, Scissors, Foam Tape.

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to head over to Eva's Blog to find even more beautiful fluttering creations!!!

A Little Note!

Hello Everyone!!  Today I was inspired by Iwona's Case Study challenge!  I really liked Julee's layout and colours, although I have modified mine a little.  :)  This also gave me the opportunity to play with the new JustRite Charmed cling stamps and matching Charm Dies!!!  YAY!!!  :)  These tags are so easy to create and perfect to add accents to your projects or just to add a little something to a treat bag or box!!  :)

The first thing I did was find the paper I wanted to use and built the card from there.  I decided to use some of the new My Mind's Eye Hattie Collection which now comes in 6 x 6 Paper Pads! {love}.  Then I had to find something to match it, LOL!  I managed to dig around and located some Baja Breeze which seems a great match, along with some Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla.  The horizontal panel has been punched with the MS Deco Fan Punch, added a little Swiss Dots embossing and a splash of ivory lace that my sweet friend Lori sent me!!  Over the top of the vertical panel I added some May Arts satin ribbon and created a bow.  I then stamped the Heart from the Charmed stamp set in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out with the matching Heart die from the Charm Die Set.
I then stamped it again in Celadon Versacolor ink and cut out the middle with Small Circle Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  I tied some gold cord through the top of my charm tag and attached it to a button (also care of my friend Lori!) and adhered with a glue dot!

Stamps - Charmed (JustRite)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, MME Hattie Collection DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Celadon Versacolor
Accessories - Charm Dies (JR), MS Deco Fan Punch, Swiss Dots EF, Ivory Lace, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Button, Gold Cord, Chocolate Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, hope you are inspired to stamp and thanks for visiting!!  :)

A Wish for You!

Hello Everyone!!!  Today I'm using Birthday Marci by La La Land Crafts.  This is a new company and X-press Graph-x (the Australian Copic Distributor) has become the new, exclusive distributor of these adorable stamps here in Australia!!  They should be available in your local scrapbook stores by the end of March!  You can find more inspiration in the Customer Gallery at La La Land Crafts.

I used Birthday Marci to create a Back to Basics tutorial on how to colour skin on the CopicOz Blog and you can find that post HERE - and by leaving a comment there, you also have the chance to WIN THREE La La Land Crafts stamps!!  Once I'd coloured and cut my image, I decided to create another Side Step Stair Card (they are a lot of fun!!  :)  ) and made the base out of Very Vanilla.  For each panel, I used paper by October Afternoon called Thrift Shop (LOVE this paper!!).  I cut the main panel behind Marci with Large Rectangle Nestabilities and matted with aqua bazzill with the matching scallop rectangle Nestabilities.  For a little detailing, I added a couple of ribbon tags to the side and on the larger 'step', created a banner using MFT's Banner Die.  The sentiment is also from MFT, the Time to Celebrate set.  To finish I added a couple of pink ZVA roses and a couple of small pink rhinestones.

Stamps - Birthday Marci (La La Land), Time to Celebrate (MFT)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Aqua Bazzill, October Afternoon Thrift Shop DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Rectangle and Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities, Banner Die (MFT), Ivory Satin Ribbon, MS Branch Punch, ZVA Roses, Foam Tape.

Don't forget there is another chance to win by playing along with this month's CopicOz Challenge to add a little Magic - the prize is the magical - 12 BRAND NEW SKETCH COLOURS that have just been released!!!!  I'm dying to get my hands on these myself!!!!

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Deepest Sympathy

Today's card is made using the Colorless Blender Bleaching technique!  The tutorial for this fabulous technique has been done by Colleen Schaan - one of the amazing Copic Instructors in the USA, and you can find her fabulous tutorial in the Resources section at Splitcoaststampers!!

I began by following the tutorial by airbrushing Copics (B32, B34 and B37) onto some photographic paper.  Then I used my Mist It which had been filled with Colorless Blender Solution to spritz (not to heavily) a silhouette stamp (Upsy Daisy by SU) and stamped it onto my airbrushed paper.  It was cut out with Small Oval Nestabilites, matted with white cut with Large Ovals and then matted again with white and blue cut with two sizes of Label 4 Nestabilities.  The sentiment is from JustRite's Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse set, which fits perfectly inside the Fancy Tags Spellbinders.  Finally I created my base of alternating blue and white, embossing the top white layer with the Victoria EF.  I finished by adding some blue pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Upsy Daisy (SU), Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse (JustRite)
Paper - Photographic Paper, White, Blue
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Airbrush System, Colorless Blender, Mist It Spray, Victoria EF, Label 4, Large and Small Oval Nestabilities, Fancy Tags, Blue Pearls.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Neutral Beauty

Have you ever used neutral colors to bring out the depth in one of your coloring projects? Well, let's kick it up a notch and show you just how beautiful your stamped creations can be without any color at all! That's right, this challenge is to color up your card with neutrals - shades of grey, sepia tones or even black and white! Link up your Bringing Back Beautiful Challenge card HERE to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB08. You have until March 31st to enter! As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!

For today's card I decided to use Flourishes' Waterlilies Stamp Set and stamped the waterlily three times in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured them with Copics (E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59) and then cut two of the images to create layers for a three dimensional effect.

I cut the sentiment panel using the Label 5 Nestabilities, sponged a little Antique Linen around the edge and stamped the sentiment from Cherry Blossoms in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The base of the card is created using Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip along with some some Basic Grey Capella DP.  The vertical panel is more chocolate, punched on one side with the single embossed curve punch and topped with cream crochet lace and some ivory satin ribbon.  To finish I added a few Kaisercraft Latte pearls to the corner.

Stamps - Waterlilies, Cherry Blossoms (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey Capella DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Rich Cocoa, Antique Linen Distress Ink
Accessories - Copics, Labels 5 Nestabilities, Single Embossed Curve Punch, Cream Crochet Lace, Ivory Satin Ribbon, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Foam Tape, Kaisercraft Latte Pearls.

Let's Celebrate!!!

This week my BFF celebrated her 40th Birthday (let's call her EDNA), however the party is not until tonight, so I'm scheduling this for when I plan to be walking in the door so she doesn't see it beforehand!  :)  Now I seriously thought about doing and elegant grown up sort of card, I mean we have known each other for more than 20yrs, but I decided against it, 'cause she loves these a la mode stamps by My Favorite Things and she also is really good at doing different shaped/folded cards - so I went down that path instead.  I sure hope she likes it!!!

I created my Side Stair Step card out of Very Vanilla.  Then I stamped my Time to Celebrate a la mode from MFT in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E000, E01, E51, E53, R83, R85, R89, B91, B93, B95, B97, R22, R24, E13, E17, E19, W1, W3).  I used the Mega Long Rectangle Nestabilities to cut and matt it.  I used some Modern Homemaker DP for the horizontal panels ('cause I know she loves this paper too) and created a little rose garden out of the MS Arch Lattice punch and some ZVA roses.  For the sentiment panel I used the JustRite Birthday Celebrations set and coloured with R81, R83, R85, R89 (to match the cake) and cut it out with scissors.  I finished by adding a few pearl swirls.

Stamps - Time to Celebrate (MFT), Birthday Celebrations (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, October Afternoon Modern Homemaker DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Mega Long Rectangle and Mega Long Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, MS Arch Lattice Punch, ZVA Roses, ZVA Pearls.

That's all from me today, feel free to hop over to Edna's blog and leave her a little Birthday Love and thanks for visiting!!  :)

Now if you've been following the hop, you would have noticed that the team is showcasing the brand new Charm Dies and co-ordinating stamps, Charmed Cling Stamp Set.  Unfortunately my sets are still in the postal system somewhere, so instead, I'm going to show you a card using the Birdhouses set which has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E51, E53, E55, E21, E25, E29, R20, R22, G12, G21, G24, G28, B000).  I've cut it out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with white cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities - then I've cut another circle in green and matted with another Lacey Circle.  The sentiment is from the newly released Hugs to You set - I've stamped only the sentiment and then used the Nested Frame Dies to cut it out (airbrushing a little G21 around the edges).  The fantastic thing about these sentiments is that you can use them in so many ways and perfect for cutting out with JustRite Custom Dies made by Spellbinders!!

Stamps - Birdhouses, Hugs to You (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Green Bazzill, White, October Afternoon Thrift Shop and Homemaker DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
