So Grateful

Hello Everyone! It's Day Three of the Power Poppy August Release and today the Bloomies are showcasing another new set called So Grateful!  This set has two beautiful images and a range of sentiments to choose from.....but I couldn't go past this gorgeous chair and pumpkin scene!  I don't normally reach for the orange/yellow/peach combos, but I've gone outside of my comfort zone for this one to create a more Autumn feel.

I've used a base of cream, layered with Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie.  I've trimmed all the corners on these layers with a corner rounder (another thing I don't do very often!).  Around these, I've attached some May Arts Mesh and green ribbon.  I've stamped the image and sentiment from So Grateful in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (E42, E43, E44, E47, E87, G40, G43, G46, YG61, YG93, YG95, YG97, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR12, YR16, YR18, YR09, R00, R02, R05, R24, YR31, YR30, W1, W3).  To finish I've added a green bow and a couple of buttons.

Stamps - So Grateful (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Cream, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie

Well Played!

It's time for the August Power Poppy Release!!!  Yippeeeeee!!!  Yesterday some of the Bloomies sneak peeked Happy Crabapple, if you missed it, make sure you pop by the Power Poppy blog for all the links!!  Today's awesome set is perfect for the Tweens and Teens (or those just young at heart) called WELL PLAYED!!!  I have my own kids as well as nieces and nephews in this age bracket so I'm STOKED that this set is out now!  Now this set does lend itself more towards the females in this age group, however my eldest two are boys, so I've used the headphones to make it into a Rockin' Boys Card!

I've used a base of red, layered with black and cream and then used several scraps from my Kaisercraft Attitude paper pad to create the card front.  Next I took another piece of cream and airbrushed it with several matching colours and then randomly stamped images from Move the Soul in Rhubarb Stalk and Gray Flannel.  I've stamped the image from Well Played in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (R24, R29, R59, C1, C3, C5) and then fussy cut it out.  I've attached the image to circles of cream and black.  I've also cut some black with Sprightly Sprockets and placed it under the vertical panel.  The sentiment was stamped, cut out with circle nestabilites, pierced with a paper piercer and then coloured the 'ROCK' with R24 Copic and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a couple of silver brads to the top corner.

Stamps - Well Played, Move the Soul (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Red, Black, Cream, Kaisercraft Attitude DP
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets, Large and Small Circle Nestabilities, Paper Piercer, Silver Brads, X-press It Foam Tape

Now let's see what fabby and funky projects the Bloomies have for you!!

Garden Fireworks

Hello Everyone!!  It's Power Poppy Friday and today I've been playing with one of the new Power Poppy Digi images called Garden Fireworks and if you look at the original image, you'll see that I've cut off about half of it and then enlarged it into this beautiful feature image!  Sigh....it's just so pretty with the papery poppy, wonderful Alliums with their globes of flowers and a dash of catnip!  Although Alliums don't grow on my continent, they are very similar to Agapanthus which I have in my garden!

I've used a base of pink bazzill and layered with white cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and another piece of pink cut with Labels 28.  Around this I've attached a sheer white and pink satin ribbons.  I've downloaded the Garden Fireworks image, opened it up in Photoshop Elements and erased the parts that I didn't want to use.  I've then resized it to height I needed and printed it out on X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (RV00, RV32, RV34, BV11, BV17, V01, V15, V17, V91, YG11, YG13, YG17, YG03, YG63, YG67, BG0000, BG000, BG11, BG13).  I've cut it out with Majestic Labels 25 and popped it up on foam tape as shown.  To finish I've added a bow and a couple of buttons.

Stamps - Garden Fireworks (Power Poppy)
Ink - Printer
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink Bazzill, White
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence, Labels 28 and Majestic Labels 25, Sheer White and Pink Satin Ribbons, Bow Easy, Buttons, X-press It Foam Tape

Power & Spark: Hang Some Paper

Hello Everyone!!  It's the first Friday of the month and that means it's time for a new Power Poppy Power and Spark Challenge!!  This month our lovely hostess is Leslie who has challenged us to Hang Some Paper.....which means, dive into that pile of scraps (you KNOW what I'm talking about) and use 3 different patterned paper (or more) and make a card and play along with us!!  Don't forget, by playing along you can WIN a Power Poppy stamp set of your choice!!!  You can find all the deets on the Power Poppy Blog!

http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com.au/

I've used paper from the Spring Bloom paper pad and I had lots of scraps in there just waiting to be used!  I've taken three coordinating pieces to create a background panel layered on top of some Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar and white card.  Around this I've added a piece of mesh and topped it with green ribbon.  I've stamped the Flip Flops Best Day Ever in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV25, RV29, YR12, YR18, YG11, YG13, YG17) and cut these out with scissors.  I've created a 'beach towel' by rolling a piece of DP (a plainer piece from the same paper pad) and snipping the edge to create a fringe.  I've stamped the sentiment, also from Best Day Ever, in Memento Rich Cocoa and glued it to the front of the card.  I've popped the flip flops up on foam tape and finished with a few dew drops.

Stamps - Best Day Ever (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar, White, Kaisercraft Spring Bloom DP
Accessories - Copics, Mesh, Green Ribbon, Dew Drops, X-press It Foam Tape

Pop on by these Bloomies Blogs and see how they've used paper for today's challenge!
That's all from me today, I sure hope you're inspired to stamp and you'll play along with us this month!
