Doily One

Hello Everyone!!  It's Day One of the JustRite Papercraft Release and today we are showcasing THREE sets!!  I've used the set called Doily One for my card.

Although I haven't used the SVG file this time, like all the new JustRite Papercrafts designs, this has a matching Doily One Digital Cut SVG File!
http://justritepapercraft.com/products/svg-doily-one-digital-cut-file-download-for-cl-02029-doily-one-cling-stamps

I've used a base of black card and die cut the side with A2 Bracket Borders One.  Next I've taken a piece of white card, stamped the doily image from Doily One three times in Memento Tuxedo Black and matted it with pink bazzill.  Around this I've attached a piece of pink ribbon and glued it to the card base.  I've also stamped the sentiment in black and created it into a notched tag, securing it to the card with a pink bow.  So you can see the die cutting down the side, I've attached a piece of white card to the inside.  :)

Stamps - Doily One (JustRite)
Paper - Black, Pink, White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One, Pink Ribbon, Bow Easy, Glue

Just when you thought that was all the news......THERE'S A SALE!!!!!  WOOHOO!!!  Gelatos and Spellbinders are on sale until Midnight May 3rd!  What's on your wish list??

Gladioli

http://powerpoppy.com/products/gladioli/

Hello Everyone!!  Did you see Day One of the Power Poppy release yesterday??  Oh My, what inspiration the Bloom Brigade had for you!!  Today's release is one that is special to me because it is Gladioli which was my Nana's favourite flower.  April was not only her birthday month (she would have been 96 this year), but sadly also the month she passed away.  So I wanted to make an extra special card using this set for the Power Poppy Release!  :)

This month Power Poppy has gone DIGITAL - for those of you who just can't wait to get your hands on these gorgeous new designs and don't want to be stalking your mailman!  :)  It's as simple as download, print and design!  For even more fun, there are challenges with prizes up for grabs all through May!  What are you waiting for?  Come join the fun on the Power Poppy Blog - we can't wait to see what you create!

I've used a base of pink bazzill and layered with soft green, pink pirouette and white cut with Spellbinders Elegant Labels Four.  While the white panel was still in the die, I've airbrushed a little G12 Copic just to give a little colour behind the feature panel.  (If you can't airbrush, you can sponge some ink for a similar effect.)  Around this I've attached a piece of beautiful green stitched satin ribbon that I got at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and topped it with white satin ribbon.  I've printed out the Gladioli Digi Stamp in black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (see deets below) and cut it with Labels 28 Nestabilities and framed it with pink pirouette cut with Decorative Labels 28.  I've matted this panel with a piece of gingham paper cut with Grand Labels Four and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added small pearl flourishes and a bow to the corners.

Copic colours used for the Gladioli are -
Greens - G20, G12, G24, G28
Pinks - RV000, RV52, RV63, RV95
Yellows - Y11, Y15, Y17
Purples - V000, V12, V15, V95
Also - E21, N3, N5, B0000

I've also decorated the inside using the piece of paper left after die cutting!

Stamps - Gladioli (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink Pirouette, Soft Green Bazzill, White, FabScraps Shabby Chic DP
Ink - Printer
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Elegant Labels 4, Grand Labels 4, Labels 28, Decorative Labels 28, Green and White Ribbons, Bow Easy, ZVA Pearl Flourish, X-press It Foam Tape, X-press It Clear Gel Glue and Glue Marker.

Hope you are enjoying the release so far, make sure you stop by and see all the gorgeousness that the Bloom Brigade have for you today!!

Easter Blessings

Hello Everyone!!  Happy Easter!  Today's card is one that I made for two challenges over at Splitcoaststampers - Free For All (Show Me The Bunny) and Way To Use It (Ovals/Eggs).

This card uses a base of white and then I've overlaid a panel of Wild Wasabi cut with Radiant Rectangles.  Next I've used Radiant Rectangles to cut the white decorative panel and put that over the top.  Next I've added a panel of green gingham paper cut with the same die set and wrapped a piece of white ribbon around it.  I've stamped the frame from Welcome Spring in Bamboo Leaves, then stamped the basket in the middle in Tuxedo Black.  I've masked the basket and then stamped the bunny inside the basket and coloured it all in Copics (Frame - Y000, Basket - E31, E33, E35, Bunny - E50, E51, E53, RV000, RV52, RV55, E34, Grass - G40, G43, G46, E84, Sky - BG0000).  I've then stamped the eggs also from Welcome Spring in Memento Angel Pink, Summer Sky, Cantaloupe, fussy cut them and popped them up on foam tape.  I needed a little sentiment to pop into the top of the frame and found one from Easter Blessings.  To finish I added a bow to the top corner.

Stamps - Welcome Spring, Easter Blessings (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Wild Wasabi, MME Breeze DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Summer Sky, Cantaloupe, Angel Pink, Bamboo Leaves

Cross of Nails

Hello Everyone!  The Easter Season is upon us and in amongst the chocolate and bunnies, many of us reflect on the meaning of Easter and that Christ died for us.  I think it was last Easter, I was driving past a local church and saw on the sign a saying......."The key to Heaven was hung on a nail" - what an amazing, powerful image this brings and it has stayed with me.  I thought this Cross of Nails by ODBD would be perfect for an Easter card.

So I decided to play along with this week's ODBD Shining the Light challenge - He is Risen.....but I forgot the 'PASTELS' part!!!  D'OH!!!  To be fair, I did make this particular card for a man who probably wouldn't appreciate the delicate pastel shades anyway.  :)  Anyway, I'm going to submit it even though it's not very pastely!  :)

I've used a base of Very Vanilla and layered with green card, topped with very dark green cut with A2 Filigree Delight Die.  The dark green panel had the middle cut out with the oval die that comes with A2 Filigree Delight and the light green panel was cut with Small Oval Nestabilities.  I've then added another oval panel embossed with Spellbinders Cane Weave 3D MBossibilities and topped that with more dark green cut with a smaller die from A2 Filigree Delight.  The cross is the single set called Cross of Nails and has been stamped in black and coloured with Copics (N1, N3, N5, N7, E31, E33, E35) and fussy cut.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment from The Lord Has Risen and turned it into a double notched tag.

Stamps - Cross of Nails, The Lord Has Risen (ODBD)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Light Green, Dark Green, X-press It Blending Card
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight, Small Oval Nestabilities; Cane Weave MBossilibilies

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Build Me Up Buttercup!

Hello Everyone!  Today's card is for the Deconstructed Sketch Challenge (Number 147).  This is the first time that I've played along with the challenge!  I just loved this fun sketch and knew exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I saw it!!  :)

I've used a base of Baja Breeze and layered it with So Saffron and then a piece of white.  Over the top part of the white I've added the strips of paper for the Starburst technique and then added some So Saffron ribbon across the join.  Across the bottom I've stamped the sentiment from Marcella's Mixtape Vol.1 in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I've stamped these adorable buttercups, also from Marcella's Mixtape Vol.1  in Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (B00, B12, B14, B16, BG13, BG11, N5, Y21, Y38, G21, G24, E11, E13).  I've then cut it out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with more Baja Breeze cut with Lacey Circles and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a few Kaisercraft Lemon Pearls on each side of the sentiment.

Stamps - Marcella's Mixtape Vol.1 (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Baja Breeze, So Saffron, White, MME Bluebell DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Large Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities, So Saffron Ribbon, Kaisercraft Lemon Pearls, X-press It Foam Tape.

I really enjoyed this sketch challenge and must remember to pop by again to play along!

Happy 40th!

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have a different sort of card to show and I've made it for my brother who turns 40 this week!  :)  I've seen a few of this box cards around (and they fold FLAT to fit into a standard size envelope, how cool is that!) and thought I'd have a go making one since it's a biggish occasion!

I actually found this download file at the Silhouette Store called Box Card: Birthday 30, 40, 50 (yes, it has all three ages as part of the download file! There are also other downloads for other ages.) by Lori Whitlock.  If you don't have a Silhouette, then you can follow the Pop Up Box Card Tutorial by the amazing Dina Kowal at Splitcoaststampers!

I simply cut out all the pieces in a variety of colours and used a piece of masculine type heavy DP from my stash and glued it all together.  It was fun and something a bit different for me and I hope he likes it, even if I am reminding him that's he's now hit the big 4-0!  LOL!!  I did write a little birthday wish for him on the front panel, just forgot to photograph it *before* I wrote it, so I've just blurred it, the cardstock was plain white!  ;)

Stamps - NONE (GASP!)
Paper - Brown, White, Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, DP
Ink - NONE
Accessories - Silhouette Store Download File, Silhouette, Glue

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Gift Card Thank You!

Hello Everyone!!  Today's project is one that is a little different for me - I've used a Silhouette File from the Silhouette Online Store to cut this cut Present Gift Card Holder and then stamped it with Quilted Circles Background Stamp and Burlap Background Stamp and created a thank you tag with Congrats Vintage Labels Three and Seven.

I had to make a thank you for a male friend (and we all know how difficult those MAN CARDS are!) and found this fun Present Gift Card file in the Silhouette Online Store and thought it would be perfect.  :)  I've cut the present out with blue card and the ribbon/bow accents in yellow.  I've stamped the blue present with Quilted Circles Background (in Memento Rich Cocoa) and then coloured parts of it in yellow and blue Copic.  Then I stamped the ribbon/bow with Burlap Background (in Memento Desert Sand).  The sentiment is from Congrats Vintage Labels Three and Seven, stamped in Rich Cocoa and made into a notched tag.  Super quick and easy!!  :)

The inside looks like this.....

We did add a little white panel opposite the gift card where my son wrote his message, thanking our friend for helping him get to and from cricket games during the season.  :)

Stamps - Burlap Background, Stitched Circles Background, Congrats Vintage Labels Three and Seven (JustRite)
Paper - Blue and Yellow Card
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand
Accessories - Present Gift Card Silhouette File, Silhouette Machine, Scissors

Applique Flowers from the Heart...

Hello Everyone!!  Welcome to Day One of the JustRite Papercraft April Release!!  This month it's all about fun and some fabby backgrounds as well!!  Today I've used this super fun and happy set called Appliqué Flowers & Vintage Sentiment Tag Clear Stamps and it also comes with a matching SVG file, SVG Appliqué Flowers & Vintage Sentiment Digital Cut File Download that can be used with your electronic cutting machines!!

I've used a base of Daffodil Delight and layered with white and Summer Breeze DP.  Down one side I've used another piece of Summer Breeze, matted it with Baked Brown Sugar and attached some bright yellow ribbon.  Next I've cut a piece of white with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and airbrushed some RV52 while it was still in the die to give a little colour.  I've drawn in some dotted lines with a Copic Multiliner for the edging and added the sentiment from Appliqué Flowers & Vintage Sentiment Tag Clear Stamps.  I've used the SVG file to cut the EXACT cut and then stamped the flower, stem and leaf elements.  I've coloured these with Copics (Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17, YG11, YG13, YG17).  I cut and stamped an extra flower and cut out the middle and shaped it a little so it looks like a daffodil cup and glued to the center of the flower.  To finish I've stamped a couple of the buttons and coloured them with copics and attached a bow to the ribbon.

Stamps - Applique Flowers and Vintage Sentiment Tag Clear Stamps (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Daffodil Delight, White, Baked Brown Sugar, Kasiercraft Summer Breeze DP
