Apple Cider

Hello Everyone!!  Well not only is it Featured Stamper Sunday, it's that time of year again when we can all get dirty!!!  It's the Dare to Get Dirty week at Splitcoaststampers when we can join the Dirty Dozen and Alumni in a mad week of challenges with FAB prizes up for grabs......the only catch is that you HAVE to be a Fan Club member to see the challenges and play along.  If you are a Fan Club Member, you can find the challenge list HERE!  Today I was inspired by the Featured Stamper's (Amy) card - My First Round Card and Christine's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge.

A nice easy one today - I created the base with two pieces of Riding Hood Red cut with Large Circle Scallop Nestabilities and attached them at the top (no flat bits!!).  Then add a piece of white cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and some Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP cut with Small Circle Nestabilities.  Next I added a strip of white and more Garden Variety DP and knotted some red and white grosgrain ribbon around them both.  The cider image is from Flourishes' Apple of My Eye set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  It's been cut out with Small Circle Nestabilies and matted with Old Olive cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.

Stamps - Apple of My Eye (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Riding Hood Red, Old Olive, Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Lacey Circle, Large Circle, Large Scallop Circle, Small Circle Nestabilites, Red and White Grosgrain Ribbon, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

The Stockings Were Hung....

Hello Everyone!!  Today I've made a card using the new Warmest Wishes set by JustRite Stampers!  Super cute set of four centres and borders for this year's Christmas cards - I'm kinda stoked that I've already got a few made this year!!!  Woohoo!!  :)  I also thought this would be perfect for the latest challenge by Scrapbook Boutique which has a fun Christmas inspiration picture to be inspired by!
I started with a base of hazel bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla and some Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP.  The middle panel is more vanilla (punched with the MS Loop punch) and layered with more Mitten Weather DP.  Across this I've added some cream crochet lace and topped it with red satin ribbon.  I've stamped the centre and border in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (BG11, BG72, Y21, Y35, R02, R22, R24, R39, E50, E51, G28) and sponged with a little Antique Linen ink.  It was cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with hazel bazzill cut with Labels 4 Nestabilities.  To finish I added a red bow to the ribbon and some clear rhinestones to the corners.

Stamps - Warmest Wishes (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Hazel Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval and Labels 4 Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Loop Punch, Cream Crochet Lace, Red Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones, Foam Tape.

Trick or Treat Halloween Basket

Hello everyone!!  Today's project has been made using JustRite's new Trick or Treat set and also fits this week's iCopic Challenge to make 'anything but a card'!  :)  Trick or Treat has been released this month, in plenty of time for the Halloween cards and gifts you are planning on making this year!  :)  It consists of 4 Borders and Centres to mix and match and is designed to fit the Oval Stamper.
I created the basket by following the Gina K freebie template called Flower Basket and made the black basket.  I modified it a bit by adding a punched border for the handle using the Martha Stewart Iron Gate border punch.  I stamped my pumpkin centre in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copic Markers (C1, C3, C5, C7, V12, V15, V17, YG93, YG95, YG97, YR12, YR16, YR18, 0).  It was cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with Beaded Oval Nestabilities using purple bazzill.

Stamps - Trick or Treat (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Black, Purple Bazzill.
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Iron Gate Border Punch, X-press It High Tack Double Sided Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

Masculine Confirmation

Hello Everyone!  My friend's son is having his Confirmation today and asked if I could make a nice card for them to give to him.  Apparently he's got a new shirt with little sheaves of wheat on it to wear, so I thought this cross by Our Daily Bread Designs would be perfect!

I've used a base of green bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip and some Kaisercraft Up, Up And Away DP.  The vertical panel is more Chocolate, punched with the lattice arch punch and topped with more DP.  Across this I've added a piece of May Arts Mesh.  I've stamped the Wheat Cross from ODBD's The Living Bread set in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Very Vanilla, lightly coloured with E31 and E33 and cut out with Label 18 Nestabilities.  While still in the die, I've lightly sponged with Memento Desert Sand.  The sentiment is from ODBD's Confirmation set and has been stamped and cut out with Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  I've finished by adding a couple of Chocolate Pearls to the corners.

Stamps - The Living Bread, Confirmation (ODBD)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Green Bazzill, Kaisercraft Up, Up and Away DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Labels 18 and Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Lattice Arch Punch, May Arts Mesh, Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls, Foam Tape.

Welcome Baby Boy

Hello Everyone!!  A friend of mine became an Aunty to a Baby Boy recently and asked me if I could make a card for him!  I've used Our Daily Bread Designs' Noah's Ark......this really is a go to set for me when it comes to baby boys - it's cute and fun and great for boys!

I've used a base of aqua bazzill and layered with white, and green and then some DCWV Nana's Nursery (boy) paper.  Then I added another strip of paper from the same pack and matted with more aqua.  I've stamped the Ark in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Xpress It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E31, E33, E35, E37, YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24, C1, C3, C5, R20, B21, B32, B34, 0).  I then cut it out with scissors and popped it up on top of a white circle and lacey aqua circle.  The sentiment was stamped in black, cut with Fancy Tags Spellbinders and lightly sponged with Memento Summer Sky and popped up on foam tape.

Stamps - Noah's Ark (ODBD)
Paper - Xpress It Blending Card, Aqua, White and Green Bazzill, DCWV Nana's Nursery Boy DP

You Inspire Me To Believe

Hello Everyone!!  Today's card is a special request from a friend of mine.  Her daughter, Sarah, has been selected to represent Australia at the World Junior Rowing Championships in London and wanted a card to give to her coach who will be spending time overseas for some time after this meet.  Most cardmakers would agree that masculine cards are tough.....try masculine ROWING cards!!!  LOL!!!  My friend liked the idea of the globe because it shows both Australia and England and the sentiment from You Are My Anchor is perfect for this occasion.  Then came the rowing element......do you have any idea how difficult rowing stamps are to find???  Well I couldn't find any, so my friend sent me a picture of the oars and I drew these and cut them out (and kept the template!!!).

The base is made of blue, white and green bazzill and then some Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags DP.  Next is a piece of white (punched with dotted wave punch) and topped with more Pack Your Bags DP.  Across this I added some dark brown grosgrain ribbon and topped it with a Sailor's Knot made of twine.  The globe, sentiment and rope border from You Are My Anchor were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E21, YG93, B21, B23, E31, E35, 0).  The globe was cut with scissors and popped up on the rope border.  The sentiment cut with Small Circle Nestabilites and popped up on the oars.  The oars were drawn with a 0.3 Multiliner, coloured with Copics (C3, BG75, Y17) as per the picture - the stripes are the Aussie colours that are actually on the real oars!  I've finished off with a couple of silver brads in the corners.

Stamps - You Are My Anchor (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blue, White, Green Bazzill, Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Multiliner, Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Dotted Wave Border Punch, Brown Grosgrain Ribbon, Twine, Silver Brads, Foam Tape.

Witch's Shoe

Hello Everyone!!  Today the JustRite team are showcasing the new Happy Halloween stamp set!  This is a ribbed set which fits the 2" Round Stamper and comes with 6 Centres and 6 interchangeable borders to create your Halloween gifts and cards!

I found this super cool shoe template over at Skip to my Lou - I mean seriously, how CUTE are these!!  I'm thinking you could use these to create wedding shoes, or sparkly ruby shoes (think Wizard of Oz) or just some cute ones for your shoe loving friends!  Today however I have made a Witch's Shoe for Halloween, that you could even add a little treat bag inside!  I used the template to cut out a black shoe and then used the inner sole template to cut out some SU Haiku DP (it was the only orange paper I could find at the time!).  I put it all together and then added some wide silver ribbon around the toe.  I stamped the image from JustRite's new stamp set Happy Halloween in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copic Markers (YR12, YR16, YR18, C3, C5, C7, RV91, E35, YG03, YG63, YG67, 0).  It was cut with Small Circle Nestabilities and matted with some orange card cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and adhered with foam tape.
Stamps - Happy Halloween (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Black, Orange, SU Haiku DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Small Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities, Silver Satin Ribbon, Shoe Template, Foam Tape.

Mmmmmm.....Cake.....

Hello Everyone!  It's been a big week for me, for the first time since my kids were born I have a job!  Yep, back into the workforce 3 days a week.  I feel very fortunate that I've found something with great hours, close to home, working on the days my youngest is in kindy.  Even better, it's a creative type of field.....working at a cake decorating supplies wholesaler/retailer.  :)  I can't believe all the things there are for cake decorating, but then I think, well I suppose that's what a cake decorator would think of a papercraft store!  :)

Anyway, in honour of my new employment, I've made a card to resemble a Cake Shop!  :)  I used Flourishes' Let Them Eat Cake set.  I started with a white base and layered with blue, more white (pierced) and then some blue striped paper (except you can't see the stripes *sigh*).  Across the bottom I added some vanilla card embossed with a mosaic EF and sponged with Desert Sand ink.  Across the join I've added some pink satin ribbon.  Next I stamped my Cake in Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and lightly coloured the cake with RV000 and then matted the image with pink card.  I then created my 'Awning' with white card, punched with a scallop punch and scored on the low parts of the punched edge using my Scor Buddy and lightly sponged with Angel Pink ink.  To finish I added a pink bow and then coloured some clear rhinestones with RV34 so they would match my pink cake.

Do you like using your Copics to colour your embellishments too???  It's the perfect way of making co-ordinating embellishments and if you do it this month, you can link your card to the CopicOz Challenge and you could win a prize!!!  :)  This month it's a bottle of the AWESOME new X-press It Clear Gel Glue........I can't say this enough......I LOVE THIS GLUE!!!!  :)  So have I inspired you yet??  Come join me at CopicOz!

Stamps - Let Them Eat Cake (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Blue, Pink and White Bazzill, Misc American Crafts DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink, Desert Sand
Accessories - Copics, Scallop Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Scor Buddy, Pink Ribbon, Bow Easy, Clear Rhinestones.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you play along with me this month at CopicOz!  :)

Hello Everyone!!  As summer is in full swing in the Northern Hemisphere, we are enjoying the warmer temperatures and many are going on vacation. Make a creation with the theme of summer or vacation and link up your Bringing Back Beautiful Challenge creation HERE to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB12. For my card, I've chosen that perfect vacation set - Beach Life!  I've stamped the sand and toys stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card, then masked it and stamped the chair, and then stamped the drink.  I've coloured my image with Copic Markers - E31, E33, E35, E37, E000, E00, E02, E11, YR000, YR02, YR04, YR07, YG00, YG11, YG13, YG17, C1, BG0000, BG000, BG10, BG11, G12, 0.  As you can see, I've gone with an orange and green theme - so imagine that drink is a long, cool Midori Splice (my FAV cocktail!!!).  :)  The base is constructed of Old Olive, White, Pumpkin Pie and some Haiku DP that I found deep in my stash!  The middle panel is more white and more Haiku.  Across all of this I've added some white grosgrain ribbon.  I've cut the image out with Small Circle Nestabilities and matted with Pumpkin Pie cut with Pinking Circle Nestabilities.  I've added the orange grosgrain ribbon over the top of this panel and stamped the sentiment from Sunflowers just above it.  To finish I added some diecut leaves and branches and topped with a couple of prima flowers and a clear rhinestone.

Stamps - Beach Life, Sunflowers (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, White, Pumpkin Pie, Haiku DP
