Love You Mum

Hello Everyone and welcome to the very last day of the JustRite Papercraft CHA release!  I hope you've had a blast following all the releases over the CHA week and have been inspired!  Today we are showcasing the All In The Family Large Sentiments, which is designed to beautifully co-ordinate with many of the JustRite sets such as Large Fancy Sentiments that I've used today.  Here in Australia we say MUM not MOM, so I love that JustRite has included BOTH spellings so that it doesn't matter where in the world you live, you'll have the right spelling for your mother!!  :)
I love making Spellbinders shaped cards and I've had a couple of inquiries about them, so I thought I'd show you a super quick tutorial on how to create this card.  :)

To begin, I've folded a piece of white cardstock (lighter weight 200 gsm) and placed the Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles die over the edge.  I've held the die in place with removable tape.  The card can be difficult to get out of the die - especially if it's new!  To avoid this, add a piece of waxed paper (Aussies can buy this at Coles) between the die and the cardstock.
I use Spellbinders Grand Calibur Machine, other machines may work differently in how they cut, or if they can handle two pieces of card folded over.  Please don't force a sandwich through your machine and damage it!!  I do find that sometimes a folded piece of card will not cut evenly the first time it goes through the machine - turn the die 90 degrees and put it through again, continue until cut through.
You'll be left with a card that looks like this.....
I want to make the front of my card a different colour, so I've cut a piece of purple bazzill (a scrap piece from my scrap box!), this time make sure the die is not over the edge.
Once you've cut that shape, you'll have your folded card base and coloured card front - glue these together.  The first time I glued these two pieces together when I made my very first shaped card was a disaster - glue oozed out everywhere!!  ICK!!!  Then I found the Glue Marker - no more oozing!!  :)
For today's card, I've cut a piece of Kaisercraft Lake House DP with the next die in the Resplendent Rectangles set.  The other two have been cut using JustRite's Vintage Labels Four Dies.  The first one has been stamped with JustRite's Floral Flourishes Background stamp in Memento Lulu Lavender, the second has been stamped using Large Fancy Sentiments for 'Love You' and All In The Family Large Sentiments for 'Mum'.  While it was still in the die, I've airbrushed a little V01 Copic Marker over it.  :)

Pop the DP panel up on foam tape.  Add a couple of pearl flourishes to the corners.  Glue the sentiment panel to the stamped background panel and pop up on foam tape.  Finish by adding a bow to the bottom of the sentiment.
Easy isn't it??!!!  :)  Hope you've enjoyed the tutorial and don't miss the beautiful creations the JustRite girls have for you today!

Backgrounds Galore

Hello Everyone!!  If you've been following my blog for the last couple of weeks you would have seen many of the latest CHA release stamp sets, including new Background stamps!!  As much as I love a pretty image to colour, I've loved playing with these new backgrounds!!  Today's card hasn't used any DP at all --- all stamps!!!  :)

I've created my card with a base of purple bazzill and layered with white.  The next layer was another piece of white stamped with JustRite's Garden Gate Background stamp in Memento Teal Zeal.  To tone down this layer, I've airbrushed BG000 Copic Marker over the teal stamped background.  The next panel is white topped with another piece of white stamped with Floral Flourishes Background in Memento Lulu Lavender.  The flowers are from Circle of Love, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (V01, V12, V15, V17, G40, G43, G46, BG78).  It's been fussy cut and framed with white cut with Spellbinders Marvelous Squares.  Across the bottom I've added some white crochet lace, topped with white satin ribbon.  The sentiment is from Buntings and Banners set and has been stamped in Tuxedo Black and cut with Nested Lacey Pennants.  To finish I've added some pearls to the corners and a bow to the ribbon.

Stitched For You!

Hello Everyone!  It's the second Monday of the month and that means there is another Create With Me Monday on the Flourishes Blog!  For today's Copic Tutorial, I've used Flourishes' Stitched For You stamp set and show how I've coloured the yarn in the image.  You can find the Copic tutorial HERE.

For the card itself, I've used a base of aqua bazzill and layered with white and some MME Lavender DP.  Next I've taken a piece of white, punching the bottom with Deco Fan border punch and layered with another piece of Lavender DP.  The next panel is made of more aqua bazzill layered with more Lavender DP.  Over these panels I've attached some pink satin ribbon and topped with some gorgeous Ivory Satin Pleats Trim.  Over this I've added a couple of pieces of pink baker's twine and a button from Flourishes Candy Pink Light Buttons.  I've stamped the image from Stitched For You in Memento Tuxedo Black onto blending card and coloured with Copics (see Here for details) and cut it out with Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Window Die.  I've matted it with pink bazzill cut with Spellbinders Marvellous Squares - what a perfect match!!!  *Happy Sigh*  I've popped the image up on foam tape and finished by adding a couple of buttons from the Candy Pink Light and Pistachio button collections.

Garden Picks

Hello Everyone!!  Today I have a card for you using Flourishes' Garden Picks stamp set.  I've used this as a tutorial over on the Copic Oz Blog showing how I've used the Colourless Blender for various applications.  If you want to see the tutorial, you can find it HERE!

I've made my card using a base of white card folded and cut with Resplendent Rectangles.  I've then cut a light aqua card with the same die and glued it to the front.  I've stamped the jar and flowers (two separate images - it's a mix and match set) in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with an assortment of Copics (you can find all those details HERE!).  I've then cut it out with the next size down in the Resplendent Rectangles die set and simply popped it up on X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.  To finish I've added some X-press It Clear Gel Glue to the 'water' part of the jar to give it a translucent, liquid feel.

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day Four of the JustRite Papercraft CHA Release!!  Today the team are showcasing the new Good Friends Labels Twenty Nine which matches Spellbinders' CHA release Labels 29 Dies!  If you've been following the Spellbinders Explore Beyond Sneak Peeks you would have seen our very own Debbie Olson revealing this new die set!  The JustRite Good Friends stamp set is designed to perfectly match these new dies!!  :)

I haven't used the new Labels 29 Dies for my creation, but just because you don't have them doesn't mean you can't use other dies and I've had fun with some of my favourite Spellbinders dies!  I've created my base with Grand Labels 23 Dies and Pumpkin Pie card and layered with white and a piece of MME Howdy Doody DP.  Around this I've attached some orange silk ribbon and white organdy ribbon.  The sentiment from Good Friends Labels Twenty Nine has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white and cut with Classic Ovals Small Nestabilities, matted with pumpkin pie cut with Classic Ovals Large Nestabilities and then matted again with white cut with Floral Oval Nestabilities and popped up on X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.
