Thank You Marigolds

Hello Everyone!!  Today I was playing around with some JustRite Papercraft stamps and this is the finished result!  I never seem to have any thank you cards, so I thought I'd make this for my stash!  :)

It's a nice easy card to make and I've actually used three different stamp sets - didn't plan it that way, it's just the way my day rolled!  :)  I began with a base of Old Olive and layered with Very Vanilla and topped with a piece of white that has been stamped with Autumn Damask Background Stamp in Memento Cantaloupe.
Next I've made a panel of olive and topped with white.  On this I've stamped the large squarish medallion from Lace Medallion Labels in Memento Desert Sand.
Across the bottom of the panel I've attached a piece of green satin ribbon and topped it with yellow satin ribbon.  The sentiment is also from Lace Medallion Labels, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut out with Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two (sponged with a little Memento Cantaloupe) and popped up on foam tape.

To add some pop to the lace medallion, I've stamped the Marigolds from Seeds of Summer in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured them with Copics (Y21, Y35, Y38, G20, G24, G28).  They've been cut out with scissors and popped up on foam tape in the centre of the medallion.
To finish I've just added a little paper piercing to the corners of the lace panel.

I'm also entering this into this week's CASE Study Challenge!

Stamps - Autumn Damask Background, Lace Medallion Labels, Seeds of Summer (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, Very Vanilla, White
Ink - Memento Cantaloupe, Rich Cocoa, Tuxedo Black, Desert Sand
Accessories - Copics, Fancy Framed Tags Two, Green and Yellow Satin Ribbon, Scissors, Foam Tape, Paper Piercer.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

I created my card on a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Chocolate Chip and some MME Sunshine DP.  I've stamped the sentiment from Ask, Seek, Knock in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Very Vanilla and then gone over the words ASK, SEEK and KNOCK with Gold Spica.  I've cut it out with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted it with Chocolate Chip cut with Floral Oval Nestabilities and then matted it again with some Beeswax Bazzill cut with Labels 23 Nestabilities.  To embellish I've used some small ZVA flowers and cut a flourish from the Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes die set.  I've cut the larger flourish into smaller pieces to accent around the flowers.  I've made sure the flowers don't fall off by gluing them with Clear Gel Glue!

Purple Butterfly

Hello Everyone!!  Today I've made a card for a friend of mine having a birthday this week who loves PURPLE!  I also had a chance to play with some new toys, so that's always fun......and NO SCHOOL to run back and forth to because it's school holiday time!!  Yay!!!  Now if only they'd stop fighting......  :P

I've used a base of purple bazzill and then a piece of aqua bazzill that is only just big enough to cover behind the Lace Background stamp.

Bike Ride

Hi Everyone!  This week I've done a tutorial on the CopicOz Blog on how to use Mask It!  Mask it is a really cool, low tack product that can be used over an over again and is perfect for creating custom masks for your stamps!!  Whenever I make a mask, I usually store it with the stamp set that it's used with so I can find it in future (if you saw my craft desk, you'd understand why!!  LOL!!!).

The card itself is pretty easy - a base of purple bazzill, a layer of white and a piece of Prima Meadow Lark DP.  Across the top two of those layers is a piece of wide white ribbon topped with a piece of purple ribbon.  The puppy image was stamped and masked, then the bike was stamped and the sentiment in the corner. (See the CopicOz Blog for details on how to do the masking.)  I've used my Copics to colour the image in -

Puppy - E42, E44, E47
Basket - E31, E33, E35, E37
Tyres, Seat, Metal - C1, C3, C5, C7
Bike - BV11, BV13, BV17
Blanket - RV000, RV52, RV55
Grass - YG11, YG13, YG17, YG61, YG63, E31
Sky - B0000

The scene was then cut out with Labels 8 Nestabilities and matted with Old Olive cut with the Decorative Labels 8 Nestabilities and the whole panel popped up on foam tape!  To finish I've added a little bling to the top corner.

Stamps - Bike Ride (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Purple Bazzill, White, Prima Meadow Lark DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8 Nestabilities, White and Purple Ribbons, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones, Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!!!  :)

September Beautiful World Tour

Hello Everyone and welcome to the September Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!!  Once again, it's time to get those passports ready, grab a cup of coffee and prepare for take off as once again we prepare to travel the world and be inspired by talented girls from all parts of the globe!  A big thank you to everyone who traveled the globe with us last month and stamped our passports (left comments), we were thrilled to have you join us on the maiden flight!!!

Do you know that your travels around the Flourishes World gives you the opportunity to WIN??  All we ask is that you do a little globetrotting and stamp our passports (leave us a comment) and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!!!!  The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this month's Vacation Spot (chosen blog), so leave a comment on each one by September 30th for your chance to win!!!!

This month the hostess is Anne-Elise and we've been challenged to Remember our Friends!  Where would we be without our friends?  We laugh together and share our dreams, and when things are hard, we want to be there for them or be a shoulder to cry on when they grieve.  Today we remember those friends with Sympathy, Missing You, Thinking of You or even Wishing You Were Here cards and perhaps we'll even have a special story to tell you about those friends that have inspired us along the way.

If you've jetted in from Anne-Elise's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination!  If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

Today I've chosen to use Flourishes' Cherries and Peaches Stamp Set for my card.  We develop so many friendships over the years and as our lives get busier with work, family and moving towns, we sometimes lose touch with each other.  The beauty of a true friend is when, even after years of losing touch, when you catch up it's like you only spoke to each other last week.  I have a couple of friends like this and it's always special when we catch up again.  When I saw the sentiment in the Cherries and Peaches set, it reminded me of those friends - no matter how long it's been, we haven't grown apart and will always be friends!  :)

I made my card with a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with Old Olive and white.  Then I took some more Old Olive and cut it with Spellbinders new Basic Lattice die and glued it to the white layer.  Over this I've added a piece of Black/Cream grosgrain ribbon to one side.  I've stamped the cherries onto blending card and coloured them with Copics (Pistachio Collection and Dahlia Collection).  It's been cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities, matted with red cut with Tear Drop Circle Nestabilities and framed with a large white paper doily.  I've stamped the sentiment from the same set in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with red cut with Small Circle Nestabilities.  To finish I've added a few Kasiercraft Silver Rhinestones to the corners.

Thanks for taking time to visit me here in Australia, it's time to grab your passports and board Flourishes Flight BWT, your next destination is.........

Thanks for visiting today and enjoy the hop!!!
