Love You

Hello Everyone!!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  We've just returned from our Christmas break, spending time with family and I thought I'd finish the year with a card using some of the December release stamps by JustRite.  Did you know that JustRite are also having a 25% off sale until January 4th??!!  If you were away or simply very busy (like we were!), now's the time to sit back and grab yourself a bargain!!  :)  Nothing like a bit of retail therapy to celebrate the end of the year.  :)

After a week away, I had to find my creative Mojo again and came across the latest CASE Study challenge (CSC122) which can be found HERE!  Such a beautiful inspiration piece!!  :)

I've created the base with Baja Breeze and layered with Black.  Next I took a piece of white card and stamped the Elegant Damask Background stamp in Teal Zeal.  Then I created another layer of black and this time stamped the same background stamp in Summer Sky onto white.  Over these panels I've added a large ZVA pearl flourish and a black ribbon.  Of course I couldn't find a matching ribbon amongst all my masses of ribbon, so I took some white and coloured it with BG57 Copic Marker - YAY, perfect match!!  :)  I've attached this and then added a couple of loops of coloured ribbon as well.  Next I created the rosette out of some card that I found that was the perfect match - I'm not sure what this is, it's Stampin Up, but I have no idea what the colour is.  I've stamped the frame from JustRite's Antique Valentine's Tags One in Teal Zeal and then stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and cut it out with the matching die from Antique Tags One Dies and attached to the top of the rosette.

Stamps - Elegant Damask Background, Antique Valentine's Tags One (JustRite)
Paper - Baja Breeze, White, Black, Unknown Stampin Up colour
Ink - Memento Teal Zeal, Summer Sky, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Antique Tags One Dies, Scor Buddy, Black Ribbon, White Ribbon, BG57, ZVA Pearl Flourish, X-press It Clear Gel Glue.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you all have a wonderful 2013!

Journal Gift

Hello Everyone! Today, instead of a card I have a Journal!  Every year I make these for my children to give their teachers for the end of the school year.  Here in Australia the school year finishes in December which is followed by the long Summer Break.  This one went to my daughter's Kindy teacher (who also taught my two boys) who told me she was looking forward to getting another as early as September!  :)  I'm happy to say she loved this one!

I began with a Spirax notebook and then cut a piece of paper to size and punched the side with the spiral edge punch.  I've used the flip side of the paper to create a panel down the side and topped it with a couple of ribbons.  I've stamped the image from Flourishes' Summer Blossoms (perfect for the hot Summer weather we are having now!) in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics and cut with the Large Oval Nestabilities.  I've matted it with Vintage Pink Bazzill cut with Floral Oval Nestabilities.  To finish I've cut out the letters for the name and added a few pink pearls to the corner.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello Everyone!!  Today's project is a giftbox that I made using my Silhouette Cameo!  Looooove this machine!  :)  I downloaded the template from the Silhouette Store and cut it out of red cardstock.  Next I found a Stampin' Up Wheel and added a light pattern all over and tied it up with a silver and green bow.  I covered the window opening (which in hindsight would have been better to take the window out BEFORE cutting) with a piece of pretty Christmas paper.  Next I made the tag!  I had this cute Santa image from Flourishes' Joy is in the Air stamp set just begging to be coloured with Copics!  After it was coloured, I've cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and matted it with some green cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities.  I've then popped it up on a piece of red cut with Labels 18 Nestabilities and embossed it with Dainty Dots M-Bossibilities.  I've tied it to my pretty packaging with a piece of gold cord!

I used this packaging for the Secret Santa gift exchange at my work Christmas party!  :)

Stamps - Joy is in the Air (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Red, Green, Bo Bunny DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red Ink
Accessories - Copics, Silhouette Cameo, Template, Circle, Lacey Circle and Labels 18 Nestabilities, Silver and Green Ribbons, Gold Cord, Stampin Up Wheel.

O Christmas Tree

Hello Everyone! I'm still getting my Christmas cards done and it's less than 2 weeks until the big day!  Today's card was made using Flourishes' Trimmed with Love set and I have a tutorial over on the Copic Oz Blog if you'd like to learn a little more about how I coloured it!  :)

I've made this gorgeous tree the focal of my card, the rest is pretty simple.  Stamp the tree in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and colour with Copics.  Cut with Decorative Labels 8 Nestabilities and attach to a base of Old Olive card using the X-press It Glue Marker (fabulous for sticking down those decorative pieces without having to use glue that oozes everywhere!).  Stamp the wreath and sentiment, colour and cut out and pop up with X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.  Finish by adding Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones to the corners!

Stamps - Trimmed with Love (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spica Pens, Decorative Labels 8 Nestabilities, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones, X-press It Glue Marker, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.

Hello Everyone!!  This week I have another Copic Tutorial over on the Flourishes Blog, this time I'm colouring this beautiful Poinsettia image from Flourishes' Poinsettia and Pine stamp set!  For all the colouring details click HERE!

For the card itself, I've used a base of white, layered with Vintage Pink Bazzill and some Kaisercraft Mint Twist DP.  Across this is another piece of pink, punched with the Deco Fan border punch and layered with another piece of Mint Twist.  Over this I've attached a piece of white crochet lace.  The image has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (see the Flourishes Blog) and cut out with Grand Circle Nestabilities and matted with pink cut with the matching Grand Scallop Circle Nestabilities.  The sentiment is also from Poinsettia and Pine and has been stamped and cut out with Standard Circles Large Nestabilties and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a few rhinestones to the corners for a little bling!

This month our hostess is Naomi and she's challenged us to SHINE!!  The weather is turning cold in Canada where Naomi lives, however here in Australia it has just officially turned to SUMMER, what could be more lovely than a beautiful vase of flowers to celebrate Summer??  :)  I was inspired by Flourishes' Garden Picks stamp set for this month's challenge!
I began with a base of vanilla cut with Grand Labels 23 (which I added a little extra colour to by airbrushing some RV52 on it).  It's been layered with some light aqua card and a piece of FabScraps Marie Antoinette Pink Carriage DP.  Around this I've added a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace.  Next I've cut a piece of pink Bazzill with Floral Oval Nestabilities and adhered it to the front.  Over this I've attached a piece of pale pink taffeta ribbon.  The flowers and vase images from Garden Picks has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV52, RV55, G40, G43, G46, B0000, B000, YR30 and YR31) and then cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities.  Attach image to the front of the card and then use some Clear Gel Glue to attach buttons and bow.

So......where does the Shine come in????  I've used the same X-press It Clear Gel Glue to go over the top of the water in my image......hey presto, instant glossy water effect!  (Make sure you let it dry REALLY well!!!)

Stamps - Garden Picks (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Pink Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Aqua, FabScraps Marie Antoinette Pink Carriage DP

Hearts Full of Love

Hello Everyone!!!  Today the JustRite team are showcasing another new set perfect for Valentine's Day or Weddings!  I was inspired by a traditional black and white wedding to create my card using the new Vintage Pearl Labels set.

I created my base using white and Spellbinders' Romantic Rectangle Nestabilities then layered with black and white (corners trimmed with corner rounder).  The white layered has also been embossed with Spellbinders' new Dainty Dots M-bossibilities folder.  Around these layers, I've attached white and black ribbons.  The feature panel and sentiment from Vintage Pearl Labels has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the matching Vintage Label and Banner Dies and matted with black cut with Floral Oval Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a trio of pearls in each corner.
Stamps - Vintage Pearl Labels (JustRite)
Paper - White, Black
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - JustRite Vintage Label and Banner Die, Spellbinders Romantic Rectangle, Floral Oval Nestabilities, Spellbinders Dainty Dots M-Bossibilities, White and Black Satin Ribbons, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.
