Amazing Paper Grace Kit Club Inspiration Day 2!

Hello Everyone!!!  Have you heard the news??  Becca Feeken has started a new Kit Club!  I'm sure like me, many of you have been inspired by Becca's stunning creations and now you can purchase her very own kits!!  You can read all about it in her own words HERE!

There are limited kits each month and the fabulous September kits are........

There are a limited number of kits available for each month that can be purchased without becoming a kit club member.  For all the details on the Silver & Gold Memberships click here.

The JustRite girls have had the honour of playing with Becca's September Set early and you'll find links to their gorgeous work on the JustRite Blog!

My card was created with a base of blue bazzill and layered with very vanilla and some Authentique Journey paper.  Across this I've added some more blue with the edges cut with Spellbinders Classic Edges Two and some more Journey paper.  I've taken the round delivery element  and wavy lines from the Signed, Sealed, Delivered stamp set and stamped them in Memento Rich Cocoa over the DP.  Over this layered is a piece of ivory crochet lace and topped with some dark ivory satin ribbon.  I've stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (E41, 42, 44, 47, B91, B45, YR12).  Around this I've stamped the postage stamp edge element in Memento Danube Blue (stamped off once to soften the colour) and cut it with scissors (sadly my dies are still swimming across the pacific).  I've popped it up on foam tape over blue card cut with Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight.  Next I've created my flower using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and airbrushed a little G46 (leaves) and B45 (flower).  To finish I've added some Kaisercraft Chino Pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Signed, Sealed, Delivered (Amazing Paper Grace Kit Club)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blue Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Authentique Journey DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, Danube Blue

If you've made your way here via Connie's Blog, then you are in the right place, if not, you may want to start back at the ODBD Blog so you don't miss any of the inspiration along the way!!!

Originally I was only going to use ODBD's Amazing Grace Hymn stamp, but then felt a little colourful butterfly was in order, so I've also used the two step butterfly and matching grunge butterfly die.  :)

This card is so easy to make!  All the die cuts are part of the Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles set!  First I've created the base of white using the largest die and then sponged a little Memento Summer Sky ink in the middle.  Then I cut more white using the next smallest die from the set, once again sponging a little ink in the middle and wrapping some blue satin ribbon around it.  Finally I stamped the Amazing Grace Hymn in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out using the next smallest die.  All the layers have been popped up on foam tape.  The butterfly solid stamp has been stamped using baby wipes, some rubbing alcohol and Copic Inks B05, V17, Y21 (the rubbing alcohol on the baby wipes makes the Copic Ink last longer before drying).  I've then over stamped the detailed stamp using Rich Cocoa.  To finish I've added a blue satin bow.

Stamps - Amazing Grace Hymn, 2 Step Butterflies (ODBD)
Paper - White Card
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Summer Sky
Accessories - Grunge Butterfly Die, Resplendent Rectangles, Copic Inks, Blue Satin Ribbon, Foam Tape.

Thanks for popping by the next stop on your journey is to the lovely SILKE!!!

I'm also entering in the re-opening of the Flutterby Challenge this week - nice to see you back Danni!  :)

JustRite August Christmas Release

Hello Everyone, today the JR girls are showcasing a couple more of the latest JustRite Papercraft Christmas Releases for this year!  I've used Antique Christmas Tags One and matched it with the Ever After Antique Labels from the July release.  At the rate I'm going, I'll have all my Christmas Cards done by September!!!  LOL!!!

I started this project by stamping the label image from Ever After Antique Labels in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (G40, G43, Y00).  It's been cut out with the matching JustRite Die called Antique Labels One Dies.  Next I stamped the frame from Antique Christmas Tags One in Memento Rhubarb Stalk and then the sentiment from the same set in Memento Tuxedo Black.  This has been cut out with the matching Antique Tags One Die and adhered to the top label image.  I've framed all this with a piece of Old Olive cut with Floral Oval Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape over the base.  The base is made of a piece of Mitten Weather DP cut with Spellbinders Labels 25 (and attached a piece of clear ribbon) and then drew a line around the outside of the same die on a piece of white and hand cut it to make a matching layer.  Between the white and DP layers I've added a wide piece of May Arts green satin ribbon.  Finally I added a little bling to the top and bottom for a little sparkle.  :)

Stamps - Ever After Antique Labels, Antique Christmas Tags One (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rhubarb Stalk
Accessories - Copics, JustRite Antique Labels One Dies, Spellbinders Labels 25 and Floral Ovals Nestabilities, May Arts Green Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones.

It's a Beautiful World

Hello Everyone and welcome to the first Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!!  Those of you who have been following Flourishes for a while will know that the first Monday of the month used to be the Bring Back Beautiful Challenge.  As we celebrate Flourishes' 5th Birthday, there have been some changes and one of those is our team!  No longer are we a challenge team, instead we have FOUR new members to the team - Sasha, Dina, Anne-Elise and Meredith - (WELCOME girls, we are excited to have you join us!!) and each month, travel the world with us and be inspired by talented girls from all parts of the globe!!!  We are now represented by Australia, United States, Canada, Finland, England and Germany and each month one of the girls will be hosting the hop on the Flourishes blog, sharing a little about their creation and maybe even a little about their corner of the world!

So.....what does this mean for YOU??  Instead of being challenged to create and play along, all we ask is you do a little globetrotting and stamp our passports (leave us a comment) and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!!!  Yes, you heard right, leave a comment and have the chance to win!!  The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this week's vacation spot (chosen blog) so leave a comment on each one by AUGUST 31st for your chance to win!!

If you've jetted in from South East Asia from Dina's blog then you have arrived at the right destination. If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss any of the inspiration along the way!!

This month the hostess is........ME!!!  Welcome to Australia!!!  :)  Our theme this month is to be inspired by a SONG!  I thought that I would choose a song, originally written by the native people on the far northern island of Elcho Island (off the Northern Territory) called My Island Home.  After gaining nation wide recognition being sung by Christine Anu, it has become something of an unofficial anthem of Australia.  As far as size goes Australia is a large country,  in fact very similar in size to the United States, however we are entirely surrounded by ocean and it's often called the Island Continent!

With My Island Home playing in my head, I've created my card using Windows to the World and used a wavy card base as a sort of tribute to the sea that surrounds our beautiful country!  I started with a base of Old Olive cut with Wavy Rectangle Nestabilities to create the shaped card.  Next I used the same die, placed it on a piece of white and drew a line on the inside of the die and cut it out with a pair of scissors to create a mat.  I then took the next smallest die to cut a piece of MME Good Day Sunshine (I keep calling it the G'day Sunshine paper) DP for the next layer and attached a piece of green satin ribbon around it.  I've stamped the island window image and sentiment from Windows to the World in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (Walnut Collection, Creamy Collection, Candy Pink Collection, Leaf Green Collection, Ice Blue Collection, Iced Aqua Collection).

I've cut this out with Labels 25 Nestabilities and used a paper piercer and Mat Pack to pierce around the edge of the die cut.  I've then matted it with more Old Olive, this time cut with Labels 10 Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a green satin bow and Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to each of the corners.

Stamps - Windows to the World (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Old Olive, White, MME Good Day Sunshine DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Wavy Rectangle, Labels 25 and Labels 10 Nestabilities, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kasiercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

I hope you've enjoyed visiting Australia - the next stop on your Beautiful World Tour is......BEAUTIFUL CANADA to visit MEREDITH
Thanks for visiting and happy traveling!!  :)

Hello Everyone!!!  Were you inspired by all the gorgeous cards from yesterday's JustRite Papercraft Amazing Paper Grace Release??  Today we have more cards created with Becca Feeken's elegant Amazing Paper Grace stamps sets!  Today I'm using Vintage Alphabet Soup and Vintage Filigree Fancies.

To finish, I've added a few Latte Pearls to the top corners.

Stamps - Vintage Alphabet Soup Background, Vintage Filigree Fancies (JustRite)
