Going Rustic!
Hello Everyone! It's Day 5 of the Joy Clair release and today it's all about RUSTIC! Rustic Christmas and Rustic Sentiments are coming your way - let me introduce you to the set I've used today - Rustic Occasions Sentiments! This set is choc full of mix and match sentiments perfect for a range of occasions and in particular those dreaded Man Cards! As you can see I chose the Father's Day sentiment which may be strange for some of you - but for Australians, we celebrate Father's Day on the first Saturday in September, so this was perfect timing for me! :)
I've used a base of Baked Brown Sugar and layered with Kraft and two pieces of Botanical Tea DP. Over the join I've attached a piece of ribbon topped with twine and a button. I've added a small notched tag here as well. I've taken the branch image from Rustic Occasions Sentiments and stamped them in Memento Bamboo Leaves in a circle. I've then taken the pine cone stamps and stamped them in Rich Cocoa. I've then stamped the sentiment from the same set also in Rich Cocoa ink. I've cut this out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with green cut with Small Circle Nestabilities. I've finished by adding a couple of buttons to the top corner.

Paper - White, Baked Brown Sugar, Kraft, Green, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP

It's What You See
Hello Everyone!! Today I've been playing with Happy Crabapple by Power Poppy to create a card for today's IC507 challenge at Splitcoast. I really like this quote by Thoreau, sometimes it seems that we spend so much time looking around but don't really 'see' at all. I played along with Splitcoaststampers' Inspiration Challenge today and was inspired by the pink/teal colour palette from THIS picture - I really liked the soft teal/blue and white with pops of pink! Soooo pretty!
I've used a base of Baja Breeze and layered with pink and white (pierced) and topped with some Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP. Down one side I've added a piece of white punched with the Woodland Branch border punch and topped with more Botanical Tea DP. Over this I've attached white and pink ribbons. I've stamped the branch and sentiment from Happy Crabapple in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV00, RV32, RV34, G40, G43, G46, E21, R00, R02, R05, YG21, E81, E84, E87, B0000, B000, B00). I've cut it out with Radiant Rectangles die and popped it up on foam tape. To finish I've added a pink ribbon and a couple of tiny white pearls.
Stamps - Happy Crabapple (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Baja Breeze, Pink, White, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles, MS Woodland Branch Border Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, White and Pink Ribbons, Bow Easy, X-press It Foam Tape, White Pearls

Power Poppy August Release Day!
Hello Everyone! Have you seen the sneak peeks over the last few days just waiting for Release Day to come around? Well wait no more, the August Power Poppy Release - Color Me Grateful is now LIVE!!! Today all three sets, Happy Crabapple, Well Played and So Grateful are ready to fly off the shelves........ which one is YOUR favourite???
Today I've used Happy Crabapple for my Hop Card! This set features a clear stamp version of the Flowering Branches digi that was released a while ago but now is paired up with three small images and four sentiments!! I've used the small flower image - it's just so dainty and pretty! I actually stamped the sentiment from Happy Crabapple first and then stamped the image four times around it and coloured them with Copics (RV00, RV32, RV34, RV66, G40, G43, G46, E21). I've then cut it out with Small Circle Nestabilities and while still in the die, I've used my B0000 Copic to colour around the blooms - this will leave a nice crisp white edge that is still in the die. I've matted this with pink cut with Marvelous Squares. The base of the card is pink, layered with white (pierced around the edge) and some Cherry Blossom DP. Down the side is a piece of Botanical Tea DP with white ribbon over the top. To finish I've added a bow and some rhinestones for a bit of sparkle! :)
Stamps - Happy Crabapples (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper - Pink, White, Kaisercraft Cherry Blossom DP, Graphic 45 Botanical Tea DP
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Small Circle Nestabilities and Marvelous Squares, White Ribbon, Bow Easy, Clear Rhinestones, Paper Piercer
