The Shabby Tea Room Challenge which was to use squares and be inspired by a vintage quilt. I was working away with these squares when I realised this would be perfect for the Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge OCCSC11 this week as well!! I've also used the brand new set by JustRite Stampers called HOPE, a set of 4 encouraging centres and borders.
I started with a base of white and layered with some pink bazzill. Next I cut 8 of the smaller Fleur de Lis Pendant dies in white and laid them out like a quilt and then added a piece of pink satin ribbon to one side. I then took a piece of square white card and embossed it and popped it up in the centre. Next I stamped the centre and border from Hope and stamped it in Black and Old Olive Ink, adding touches of colour to the hearts and then matted with some green and pink bazzill and popped this panel on top of the embossed layer. Finally I added a pink satin bow to the ribbon and topped with a prima flower and added some Kaisercraft Rose Pearls to the other three corner squares.
