Let's Play Ball!
Hello Everyone! Did you enjoy the Power Poppy release of Lavender yesterday?? Today we've got something completely different and totally FUN called Play Ball! Marcy has some fabulous info and background on this set over on the Power Poppy Blog, so make sure you pop on by. :)
Although baseball isn't a big sport here in Australia, I did play many, many years of softball so I think this set is lots of fun with so many possibilities!
I've used a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with Very Vanilla and some plain Fancy Pants Little Sport aqua DP. Over this plain paper I've stamped the stitched image element in Memento Desert Sand. Down one side I've added a strip of Little Sport DP (isn't that baseball paper perfect!). Over this I've attached a red star. I've stamped the bats, glove, ball and base image from Play Ball in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (E11, E13, E17, E31, E33, E35, E37, E40, E42, E43, E95, E97, B12, B14, B16, B18, R12, R14, R17, R59, N1). I've then fussy cut it and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape. I've stamped the top sentiment onto Very Vanilla and then cut it into a notched tag. I've stamped the other part of the sentiment direct to the paper and coloured the 'star' part of the sentiment with R17. To finish I've added a few brown buttons.
Stamps - Play Ball (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, Fancy Pants Little Sport DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Stars Five, Buttons, Scissors, X-press It Foam Tape.

I've kept pretty true to the sketch and didn't flip it or anything. I've used a base of dark purple bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla (that I pierced) and some pretty Violet Crush DP. I've cut a piece of Vanilla with Spellbinders Majestic Labels 25 and put it in the middle. Over this I've attached two pieces of lavender ribbon and added a couple of pearl flourishes. I've used Peonies for my image and coloured it with V20, V22, V25, V28, G20, G12, G24, G28, E23, C1, C3, C5 and added some YR30 for the 'glow' around the image. It's been cut with Spellbinders Small Oval Nestabilities and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape. I've cut the sentiment from Gladioli out with Spellbinders Opulent Ovals and airbrushed it with YR30 while it was still in the die. To finish I've added a couple of cream buttons to the ribbons.

A Magical Birthday
Hello Everyone! There is much excitement in our house today as our son celebrates his 9th birthday! He is a BIG reader and is happily working his way through the Harry Potter series, so I thought, what a great idea for a theme for his card. The problem I had was finding a Gryffindor crest in a stamp......have any idea how hard that is? Had no luck AT ALL - so I found a printable image (you know, like the colouring pages they have for children) and printed it on X-press It Blending Card and coloured it in with Copics (R46, R59, Y21, Y26, Y28, C1, C3, C5).
The card itself is very simple, a base of Cherry Cobbler layered with So Saffron and a piece of DP that I found right at the bottom of my stash - it was originally deep red with white dots, but I coloured all the dots with Y21 Copic so that I stayed with the Gryffindor colours! :) I've cut two notched tags in brown and Saffron and also cut his name out of Saffron using Spellbinders Font One Uppercase. Once the Gryffindor crest was coloured, I've cut it out with Spellbinders Labels 22 and put it over the tags.
A pretty basic card really, but I thought our boy would love that it was done in his favourite books theme! It's hard to believe he's 9 already - seems like yesterday that this adorable bundle of joy arrived into our lives with his chubby cheeks, blonde hair and sweet face! Happy Birthday Ben - we love you around the universe and back again!
Thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!! :)

Pinkalious Birthday
Hello Everyone! Today I'm going all Pinkalious!! I never seem to have enough birthday cards......I know......what the??? Anyway, I am building my stash and thought a fun, frilly and PINK card would be good to have considering all the little girls I know. :)
I've used a base of pink, layered with darker pink and topped with a pink spot DP. I've created a notched tag out of pink, topped with white and stamped the sentiment from Cupcake Wishes along the bottom in Rich Cocoa. I've used the Cupcake Wishes Digital SVG File and my silhouette to cut several candle shapes and then stamped the candles from Cupcake Wishes in Rose Bud and Angel Pink ink. I stamp them while the die cuts are still on the sticky mat - particularly when it's a small piece like this, keeps it in place perfectly! Next I die cut two banners out of DP using the JustRite Buntings and Button Die. Then I cut some pink card using one of the smaller banners from the same die set. I then stamped the Fleur Twist Background over the top in Angel Pink.
Stamps - Cupcake Wishes (JustRite)
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Angel Pink, Rose Bud
Paper - Light Pink, Dark Pink, White, Tea Party DP
Accessories - JustRite Cupcake Wishes Digital SVG File, Silhouette, JustRite Buntings and Button Die, Glue.
That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!! :)

Dandelion Wishes
Hello Everyone! Today I have a tutorial over on the Copic Oz Blog showing how I feathered the dress on this sweet image using Copic Markers. For the other details about the card; read on! :)
I've used a base of Soft Sky and layered with purple bazzill, white and some Prima Meadow Lark DP that I found in my stash. Across this I've attached a piece of white May Arts Ribbon. The image is a CandiBean image called Penny's Dandelion Shower and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics - YG11, YG13, YG17, C1, E000, E01, E11, YR20, YR21, E33, E35, E37, E42, E43, E44, E50, E51, Y11, Y15, B00, B01, B02, BV11, BV00.
I've cut the image with Spellbinders Marvelous Squares die and while it was still in the die, I've flicked out some colour from the edges using BG0000 and G20. I've then popped the image up on X-press It Foam Tape. To finish I've added a white bow and a couple of white pearls to the top corner.
Stamps - Penny's Dandelion Shower (Little Darlings, CandiBeans)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Soft Sky, Purple Bazzill, White, Prima Meadow Lark DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Marvelous Squares, White May Arts Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Xpress It Foam Tape.

Happy Birthday Joey!
Hello Everyone! Today's card is for my nephew who is turning 11! Originally I was going to put 11 balloons on this card, but once I got started realised that might be a little bit of overkill! :) Obviously I've had to tone it down for a boy card, but I think he'll like it! :)
I've used a base of Marina Mist and layered with white, Pistachio Pudding and Kaisercraft Tropicana DP. Around this I've added a white cream and chocolate striped grosgrain ribbon. I've then cut a piece of Pistachio Pudding using Spellbinders Tile Works and layered with Baja Breeze and X-press It Blending Card. I've stamped the sentiment (3 separate stamps) from JustRite's Large Birthday Party Sentiments in Tuxedo Black and then coloured the word 'Birthday' with Copics (BG57, G43, Y26). The balloons are from the same set and have been stamped in Teal Zeal, Bamboo Leaves and Rich Cocoa. The Rich Cocoa Balloons were coloured with Copic Y26. I've then glued and layered the balloons as shown and drawn in the strings with a 0.1 Copic Multiliner. That's it!! Pretty quick and tried to make it a little bit masculine! :)
Stamps - Large Birthday Party Sentiments (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Marina Mist, White, Pistachio Pudding, Kaisercraft Tropicana DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, Teal Zeal, Bamboo Leaves

Pink Peonies
Hello Everyone! Today I'm joining in the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge! The lucky featured stamped is NancyK and I've chosen her Rose in Vase card to case and used a fair bit of liberty I guess.....but this card had a mind of it's own! :) I've kept the pink flower and notched tag and pink tones. Changed the image, die cuts instead of paper and put the sentiment on the tag.
I've used a base of deep pink, layered with lighter pink and then cut a piece of Very Vanilla with the Tapestry Spellbinders Die. I've added more vanilla die cut with A2 Bracket Borders One. Around this I've added ivory and pink ribbons. The peonies and sentiment are a limited DIGI release called Peonies by Power Poppy and I've cut the sentiment into a notched tag and airbrushed it with Copic RV32 and attached as shown. The Peonies were printed onto X-press It Blending Card (it goes through an inkjet printer easily and is perfect for digi stamps!) and then coloured with Copics (see below). I've then fussy cut it and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape. To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon.

Butterfly Birthday Wishes!
Hello Everyone! Today I've played along with the Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper Challenge and the lucky FS this week is Jeannie1862. Congratulations Jeannie! I have chosen her Home Grown card to case - changing the orientation, omitting the bird, adding a butterfly, moving the bow and omitting the brads. I've used different stamps and colours.
I've used a base of Pumpkin Pie and layered with white, Pool Party and Summer Breeze DP. The scalloped border is also part of the Summer Breeze Paper Pad pack and I've just trimmed it a little to fit. Across the join of the paper I've added a piece of orange grosgrain ribbon. The butterfly shape was cut using the JustRite Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags SVG file and my silhouette and then stamped in Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (Y21, YR12, B01). The frame and sentiment were stamped using Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags in Tuxedo Black, coloured with Copics (Y21, YR12) and then cut with the matching JustRite Vintage Tags Die. I've framed it with Pool Party cut with Spellbinders Nobel Rectangles. To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon.

Bicycle Built For Two!
Hello Everyone! Today the JustRite girls have a fun new set to show you!! Called a Bicycle Built For Two, it can be stamped direct, used with the matching SVG cut file and used to create fun scenes or just use it on it's own!
I've used a base of Soft Sky and layered with white. The next layer is some Kiwi Kiss and then I've created a starburst using some scraps of Basic Grey Marjolaine DP. The beauty about the starburst technique is you can use up all those scraps!! :) Across the bottom I've added some grass die cuts and then cut the fence, sun and clouds using the Silhouette and attached as shown. I've used the Bicycle Built for Two Digital Cut SVG File and cut out the bicycle shape. While the paper was still stuck to the mat I've stamped the bike from Bicycle Built for Two in Memento Tuxedo Black and added a little colour with Y32 Copic marker. (When it's stuck down you don't need to worry about the paper moving while you stamp!) To finish I've stamped the sentiment from Bicycle Built for Two onto one of the clouds and popped up on foam tape.
Stamps - Bicycle Built for Two (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Soft Sky, White, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey Marjolaine DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Silhouette, JustRite Bicycle Built for Two Digital Cut SVG File, Silhouette files from the Silhouette Online Store, Copics, X-press It Foam Tape.
