Watercolouring Peonies
Hello Everyone! Today on the Copic Oz Blog, I have a tutorial on how to use Watercolour Pencils with your Copic Markers! For all the details on how to colour this image, pop on over to Copic Oz! For the card details, keep reading! :)
I've used a base of pale purple Bazzill and layered with Very Vanilla and some FabScraps Marie Antoinette DP. Across this I've added a piece of Bazzill that has been cut with Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One dies and topped it with a piece of ivory satin ribbon. The peonies are from Power Poppy's Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips photopolymer stamp set and have been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto 300gsm Watercolour Paper. (See the Copic Oz Blog for colouring details!) I've cut the peonies out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted it with a darker shade of Bazzill cut with Stately Circles Nestabilities. I've then stamped the sentiment, also from Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips, in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Watercolour Paper. I've cut it out with Labels 28 Nestabilities and heat set it with my heat gun, then lightly added a watercolour wash around the sentiment and popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape. To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon and a few pearls to the corner.
