Queen Bee

Hello Everyone!  Did you catch the latest Power Poppy Power and Spark Challenge??  This month it's hosted by the lovely Stacy who is challenging you to a Round and Round Challenge!  Join in this month and you have the chance to win a $50 Power Poppy Shopping Spree - what would you choose??

I've been inspired by the challenge to Round the corners, used a Round circle die and then there's all those Round lacy die edges and how about a few big Round rhinestones as well!

THE OFFICIAL RULES:

  • Use Power Poppy stamps if you have them. If not, it is a great way to win some!
  • Link your creation at the Power Poppy Blog using our Linky (please use the exact URL from your post instead of a generic blog address.)
  • Please mention Power Poppy in YOUR blog or gallery post with a link back to THIS challenge
  • The winner will receive a $50 SHOPPING SPREE TO THE POWER POPPY SHOP
  • Enter as many cards as you’d like, as long as they fit the theme of the challenge
  • Deadline to enter is June 30 @ 8:00 PM EST. At that point, we’ll draw the winner randomly and make the announcement right here on the first Friday in July!

  • I've used a peach base, layered with So Saffron and then used the honeycomb element from Bee Kind Toile and the MISTI to stamp the background.  I've also used a corner rounded to punch the bottom corners of each layer.  I've then cut a pennant out of peach card and attached to the middle of the card.  I've stamped the flower images, bee and sentiment from Bee Kind Toile in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I've die cut with Small Circles Dies and matted with So Saffron cut with Lacey Circles Dies and then popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've accented with some large rhinestones.

Stamps - Bee Kind Toile (Power Poppy)
Ink - Mememto Tuxedo Black, Dark Yellow
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Peach, So Saffron
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Small Circles and Lacey Circles Dies, Rhinestones, X-press It Foam Tape, Corner Rounder

Don't forget to check out the Power and Spark Blog Post for all the details on the challenge and play along with us this month!!  That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Oh my, Kathy, I am going through my emails and seeing some posts that I've missed! Not sure why, but I love this card! I love how you've created the background, and it's just beautiful with the layout and how you've added the fishtail banner. What a beautiful focal image and such a lovely card! It's just bee-U-tee-ful!! Hugs, sweet friend! You are amazing! xoxo
