A Birthday Sketch Challenge...

Today's card is for a friend of mine who loves green. Now I'm not really a green person, so I find doing a predominantly green card a bit of a challenge. I've used this week's SCS Sketch Challenge to get me started.

I've started with a Very Vanilla card base, topped with Close to Cocoa, the topped again with Mellow Moss and finally topping with another VV layer that I had stamped with my Watercolor Vine wheel in Mellow Moss ink. Then I paper pierced the Mellow Moss layer with a paper piercer and Mat Pack and tied some sheer gold ribbon around the whole panel and added some gold brads to the corners.
The second layer is some MM card that was run through the cuttlebug with the Floral Screen embossing folder and matted on some CC card and added some gold brads. The third layer is some more of the VV stamped with Watercolor Vine and matted on CC card and finally the top layer is VV die cut with the Label One Nestabilities and then was stuck onto some CC that I hand cut for a fine edge and stamped the sentiment from 'Sincere Salutations' in MM ink and paper pierced around the edge.

I'm making a box to match, so I may be back later to add a picture of that. :)

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!! :)

Here's the box that I made to go with the card. I had good intentions of putting something on the front, but I simply ran out of time. If you want the instructions to make this 2-5-7-10 Box, you can find them HERE at SCS.
