Blue Chicory

Hello Everyone!!  It's Sunday, so it's another Featured Stamper Challenge today and even better, it also fits Edna's DTGD Challenge!!  :)  This beautiful flower I've discovered is Chicory and comes in blue, purple and yellow and it's part of the soon to be released Don't Worry set by Our Daily Bread Designs!!  Today's FS is Ravengirl and I have chosen her Tissue Flowers in the Afternoon card to case.  The flowers aren't tissue, but they are blue, I've changed the BG paper and added some paper pleating, buttons, different ribbon and lace.

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Blue Bazzill and some Memory Box Frond DSP.  Across the bottom I added some Very Vanilla that I paper pleated and sponged a little Antique Linen on.  Over the top of the pleating I added some cream crochet ribbon and topped with some blue satin ribbon.  I then cut out a piece of Very Vanilla with the Label 10 Nestabilities die and sponged some Antique Linen on it before removing it from the die and then popping it up on foam tape.  The Chicory flower from Don't Worry has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (B21, B32, G40, G82) and cut out and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I added a double looped bow made with my Bow Easy to the ribbon topping with a button and then adding a few more buttons to the top corner.

Stamps - Don't Worry (ODBD)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Blue Bazzill, Memory Box Frond DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen
Accessories - Copics, Label 10 Nestabilities, Cream Crochet Ribbon, Blue Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Buttons, X-press It Foam Mounting Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

Kathy, your card is gorgeous! The blue flower does really seem to pop up from the background! I love the paper pleating too - must look harder to see how you actually did that!
