Power Poppy Friday

Hello Everyone!!  It's Power Poppy Friday and I have a Covered Journal to share with you today!  For this project I've used the Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set because I thought this large, amazing image would be perfect on a notebook!

I've used a large Spirax hardcovered notebook and covered with some Fab Scraps paper from my stash.  Across this is some pink punched with a border punch topped with white and the reverse of the patterned paper.  The feature panel is white layered with pink die cut with Elegant Labels Four.  Next I've added a panel of white, die cut with Grand Labels Four (Retired) and airbrushed with green Copic.  I've die cut the Letters K and H and airbrushed them with Copic while still in the die.  Finally I've stamped the image from Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set and coloured with Copics and pencils then carefully fussy cut out and popped up on foam tape!

Stamps - Strong and Beautiful (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Pink, Patterned Paper

Somebunny loves you...

Hello Everyone!  I know it has been a long time in between posts for me, but unfortunately a serious health scare happened in my family just before Christmas which required a lot of time away from home and the time to create.  I wouldn't say that it is over as yet, but at least at a less fearful stage although the testing is continuing.  Any prayers for our family would be greatly appreciated!

On to today's projects!!  I have two today using all the latest goodies released by Divinity Designs this month which includes.... Somebunny Stamp/Die Duo, Triple Step with Layers Dies and Sweet Hearts Collection Paper Pad.

For my first card I've used pink card for my base and Sweet Hearts Collection Paper Pad for the layers cut with Triple Step with Layers Dies.  I've stamped the images from Somebunny Stamp/Die Duo in Memento Desert Sand, coloured with Copics and die cut with the matching die from the same set. For the top image I've layered pink and white card cut with Layering Hearts Dies and Tulip Heart Die.  I've attached the bottom image to the card and stamped the sentiments from Somebunny in black and die cut with Sentiment Strips Dies.  Finally I've used the Mini Tags Dies to create some accents for the other two panels and finished with a few clear rhinestones.

Stamps - Somebunny SDD (Divinity Designs)

Paper - Divinity Designs Sweet Hearts Paper, X-press It Blending Card, Pink, White

I went with the red colour palette from the Sweet Hearts Collection Paper Pad for my second card using a base of white and the Triple Step with Layers Dies.  I've stamped the bunnies and sentiments from Somebunny Stamp/Die Duo with Memento Gray Flannel, colouring the bunnies with Copics and die cutting the sentiments with Sentiment Strips Dies.  For all the accent pieces I've used Tulip Heart Die, Layering Hearts and Mini Tags Dies, finishing with some Pewter Pearls.

What's New in December!

Hello Everyone!  Today I have another Book Fold Card for you, this time using a Baseball theme!  My daughter recently started playing softball, so I was thinking of her as I used these sentiments.  Maybe I'll make another one in girly colours for her!  :)

I've cut the base of red using Book Fold Card with Layers and then used the layers dies to cut out America the Beautiful Paper Pad.  For the front I've used the Baseball Stamp Die Duo to stamp the sentiments and the baseball and created the diamond by diecutting with Squares dies.  I've die cut the 'Play Ball' using Pennant Flags and wrapped the end around a pop stick.

For the inside I've die cut a couple of stars using Sparkling Stars.  I've stamped and die cut more baseballs and the sentiment from Baseball Stamp Die Duo.  I've die cut the sentiment using Rounded Rectangles.

Ink - Versafine Onyx Black
Paper - Divinity Designs America the Beautiful, Red, White, Silver

My second project is made using The Giving Gift Box Dies and I've added a piece of Christmas Collection 2018 paper into the top.  I've stamped the sentiment from True Light onto the paper and then added the die cut trees using Trees and Deer Dies.  I've then added the string of lights using the Christmas Lights Dies.

Book Fold Card

Hello Everyone!  Today I'm showing you a Book Fold Card which is so easy to make with the brand new Book Fold Card with Layers Dies and paired it up with the new Christmas Lights Dies and True Light Stamps!  I wanted to make a cool, serene type of card and I just adore these new Christmas Collection 2019 papers with the soft colour palette and gorgeous designs.

I've used the Book Fold Card with Layers Dies to cut the inside and outside base of white card and the layers using the Christmas Collection 2019 paper.  Once these are glued into place, I've cut some brown card using Christmas Lights Dies as well as silver and the Christmas Collection 2019 papers for the globes and bows and glued into place.  For the front I've added a strip of glitter deco tape and then popped the sentiment from True Light, die cut with Double Stitched Pennant Flags (and airbrushed with V01 Copic) on top.  I've stamped another sentiment from True Light and die cut it with Large Banner Dies (also airbrushed with V01 Copic) and glued it to the inside.  To finish I've added some clear rhinestones to the inside and coloured some clear rhinestones with V09 Copic for the front.

Stamps - True Light (Divinity Designs)
Ink - Versafine Onyx Black
Paper - Divinity Designs Christmas Collection 2019, white, silver, brown

Soothing Sympathy

Hello Everyone!  Recently I had to sadly make two sympathy cards, so I went with the same style and just changed the colours.

I've used a cream card for the base and die cut with Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles.  I love how you can use these for a card front.  Behind the die cut, I've used the largest die to cut green and blue card for each.  Next I've chosen some matching patterned paper for each, die cut using the same set.  Next I've die cut more cream card using the next die in the set.  Finally I've stamped the forget-me-nots in blue and the rosemary in green both from Soothing Sympathy onto cream card and then stamped the sentiment also from Soothing Sympathy in rich cocoa over the top and die cut with the next die in the set.  I've wrapped matching ribbon around each and finished with a bow.

Stamps - Soothing Sympathy (Power Poppy)
Ink - Memento New Sprout, Summer Sky and Rich Cocoa
Paper - Cream, Green, Blue, Kaisercraft and Wild Rose Studio
Accessories - Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles, Blue and Green Ribbons, Bow Easy, Glue

Purple Journal

Hello Everyone!  Today I have another journal to show you, this time for another teacher who was so incredibly supportive to my son through his last couple of years of school.  Ms Caruso has helped him deal and work through some pretty tough times and as the year was coming to a close, sent my husband and I the most uplifting email about how proud she was with everything he had achieved.  The world needs more Ms Carusos!  I found out her favourite colour is purple, so I found some purple paper in my stash and used that as my starting block!

I've taken some Maja Designs paper from my stash (note to self, you need more purple 12x12 paper!), cut it to size, punched the edge with the Spiral Edge punch and glued it to the front of a Spirax notebook.  I found a small piece of another Maja Designs paper which was the right size for the strip across the bottom and matted with cream and purple card.  Next I cut some dark purple card with Spellbinders 5x7 Mystical Embrace.  Next I stamped the Poppy, stem and bud from Poppy XL stamps in gray flannel and coloured with Copics and coloured pencils and then die cut with the matching Poppy XL Dies.  I've popped all these up on foam tape and embellished with rhinestone flourishes.  To finish I used the Letter K Die and Letter C Die to cut some cream card and airbrushed with V25 Copic while still in the die and then glued to the front as shown.

Stamps - Poppy XL (Power Poppy)
Ink - Gray Flannel
Paper - Maja Designs, Cream, Dark Purple, X-press It Blending Card
Accessories - Copics, Prismacolor Pencils, Divinity Designs Letter K and Letter C Dies, Power Poppy Poppy XL Dies, X-press It High Tack Double Sided Tap, X-press It Foam Tape, X-press It Clear Gel Glue, Rhinestone Flourishes

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Nov Colour Combo

Hello Everyone!!  Today the Divinity Designs Divas have another colour combo challenge - this time using Light Teal, Rose and Gold - the colours from the Christmas Collection 2014 paper pad.

https://divinitydesignsllc.com/christmas-collection-2014-6x6-paper-pad/

I've decided to use these adorable Mini Coffee Cups and create the Mini Coffee Cup Wrapper and Layer using the Christmas Collection 2014 paper for both the wrapper and layer.  I've then cut a gold layer using Fancy Circles, a white layer cut with Pierced Circles (and airbrushed with R83 Copic), topped with a snowflake from Christmas Dove Dies cut out of the Christmas Collection 2014 paper.  I've used a different snowflake and paper from the same sets and glued them to the paddle pop stick.  It's a super cute and fun project to make for a sweet gift idea!

Ink - NONE
Paper - Divinity Designs Christmas Collection 2014, Gold, White

Accessories - Divinity Designs Dies: Mini Coffee Cup Wrapper and Layer, Christmas Dove, Fancy Circles, Pierced Circles; Glue, Paddle Pop Sticks, Divinity Designs Mini Coffee Cups and Lids
