Santa Claus is coming to Town!

Hello Everyone!  Today the JustRite team are showcasing the new Blizzard Bunch stamp set!!  Designed by Diane Arthurs this fun, whimsical set is ribbed and fits the Oval stamper.  It comes with 4 interchangeable centres and borders for you to play with to create your Christmas cards this year!

I began with a base of aqua bazzill and layered with white and some Jolly By Golly DP.  The vertical panel is more white (punched with the MS loop punch) and topped with more Jolly By Golly DP.  Around these panels I've attached some silver satin ribbon.  The Santa centre and border is from Blizzard Bunch and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (BG0000, B000, B21, W1, E000, E01, C1, C3, C5, C7, G12, G24, G28, Y13, Y15, Y17, R24, R29, R39, 0).  It was cut out with Small Oval Nestabilities and matted with Beaded Oval Nestabilities.  I've accented with a bow to the ribbon and topped with a red button and silver cord, two silver snowflakes that I've accented with clear rhinestones and finished with two clear rhinestones in the top corner.

Blessed Roses

Hello Everyone!!  Sorry I haven't posted for a while - I've had sick kids and I've been super busy with upcoming projects!!!  Keep an eye out next week for a HUGE release from JustRite and I've also been busy making things that are going to be published in a few Australian Cardmaking Magazines!!  :)  Very exciting!!!  On top of all this, I have two Copic Classes in Maryborough (QLD) this Saturday and I've been busy preparing for that and looking forward to meeting the lovely ladies there!

Today's card is using one of my FAV images from Flourishes - don't you just LOVE these roses from the A Year in Flowers 2 set!  It's been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV32, RV34, G20, G21, G24, G28), cut out and popped up on foam tape.  The framing is made up of a Label 13 die (pink), Lacey Circles (green) and Large Circle Nestabilities (white).  I used this pretty Rose Garden DP by Papermania and accented with some White Crochet Lace and Pink Satin Ribbon.  The sentiment is from Flourishes' Spring Bouquet set and stamped directly to the paper in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink, Green, White, Papermania Rose Garden DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black

We’d also love to know what you would like to see more of. The winner will recieve a set of 12 Copic Ciao and a bottle of our new X-Press It Clear Gel Glue. You have until Midnight (AEST) Tuesday June 21, 2011 to comment on the CopicOz Post. Winner will be announced on Wednesday June 22, 2011.
For my Aussie friends, many of you will have used the OLD Pritt Gel Glue and then they changed the formula???  I know a lot of people are very unhappy with the new formula.  Well, when I was doing product testing for the new X-press It Clear Gel Glue, it was honestly hard to tell the difference between the Xpress It Glue and the OLD Pritt, they both worked in the same way - in fact the X-press It was a little better on Satin Ribbon.  I've used it on paper, acetate, grosgrain, satin, paper flowers, chipboard, buttons, bows, even 5c coins.......they have all held fast and are still stuck down!  The other awesome difference between the two, is that this is BIGGER - 125ml compared to the old Pritt 95ml.....AND.....it has a screw on lid - NO MORE dried out, clogged glue!!!!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this glue!!!!  Want to win some along with a fab pack of 12 Ciao Markers???  Head on over to the CopicOz Blog and leave a comment on THE COPICOZ POST!!!!

That's all from me for now, thanks for visiting and don't forget to comment for your chance to win!!!  :)

I Would Be Lost...

Hello Everyone!  I have had a HUGE week-end with three days at the Brisbane Papercraft Expo followed by the Copic Intermediate Certification!!!  Talk about needing a rest!!  :)  Today's card is one I made just before the week-end and is another masculine card using JustRite's new You Are My Anchor set!  As someone who loves making pretty, girly cards; it's surprised me how much I love and am using this masculine set!  It is going to be soooooooo useful!!!!

I decided to go for a more antique feel with this one, while still trying to keep that masculine feel.  The base is Chocolate Chip, White, brown bazzill and some Kaisercraft Le Chateau DP.  Over this is a panel of more brown (punched with MS Zig Zag punch) and Le Chateau and then added some knotted grosgrain.

The Compass has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, YR21, 0).  It's been cut out with large circle Nestabilites, matted with chocolate chip cut with small circle Nestabilities and matted again with brown cut with Pinking Circle Nestabilities.

Stamps - You Are My Anchor (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Chocolate Chip, White, Brown Bazzill, Kaisercraft Le Chateau DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large, Small and Large Pinking Circle Nestabilities,  MS Zig Zag Punch, Brown Grosgrain Ribbon, Foam Tape.

Merry Christmas To You

Hello Everyone!!!  Today the JustRite Team are showcasing the new Merry & Bright stamp set!!  I love ornaments and so this one was love at first sight!  :)  Most of the ornaments in this set are designed to perfectly match the 2010 Heirloom Ornament Spellbinders dies.  The other ornament is designed to match the brand new 2011 Heirloom Ornament die.....and they are all in store NOW!!!

I've made my card using some Very Vanilla, Gold Gloss, Green Bazzill and some Echo Park Merry Christmas DP.  Across the bottom I've added another piece of green, punched it with the MS Loop Punch and topped with some gold nylon ribbon.  The ornament has been stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Lady Bug inks.  I've coloured it with Copics (E000, E01, R24, R29, G24, G28) and cut it out using the 2010 Heirloom Ornaments Spellbinders die.  The holly was cut out and adhered to the top and a second sentiment was cut out and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I added a chocolate ZVA flourish and a gold bow to my ribbon.

Stamps - Merry and Bright (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Gold Gloss, Green Bazzill, Echo Park Merry Christmas DP

Deck The Halls!

Hello Everyone!  Today the JustRite Design Team are introducing Deck The Halls!  Here is a Sneak Peek of the new 2011 Heirloom Ornament Die that will be officially introduced by Spellbinders at CHA.  JustRite will have these dies in stock and ready to ship to consumers PRE-CHA.  JustRite Stock will arrive on June 21st and supplies in our first shipment are limited.  Our next order for these dies will not arrive until August!!

The base is created with green bazzill, Very Vanilla (punched with the MS Woodland Branch punch), Gold Gloss Card and two pieces of Echo Park's Merry Christmas DP.  Across the join I've added more Vanilla that I've attached some green and ivory satin ribbons.  The frame was created using two sizes of Label 18 Nestaibilities and was popped up on foam tape.  The oval was cut using Large Oval Nestabilities using more vanilla, but then airbrushed a little YR21 and YR24 around the edges.  The ornament is from the new Deck The Halls set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and the sentiment in red.  I coloured the ornament with Copic Markers (G24, G28, YR20, YR21, YR23, YR24, E40, E41, 0).  My dies didn't arrive in time, so I had to cut mine by hand, but it would have been way quicker using the new 2011 Heirloom Ornament Dies and my Grand Calibur!!!  I've wrapped some gold cord through the top and fastened it down under the foam tape of the frame and popped the ornament up on foam tape.  To finish I added some Kaisercraft Chino Pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Deck The Halls (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Green Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Gold Gloss, Echo Park Merry Christmas DP.
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Red
Accessories - Copics, Label 18 and Large Oval Nestabilities,  Green and Ivory Satin Ribbons, MS Woodland Branch Punch, Gold Cord, Kaisercraft Chino Pearls, Scissors, Foam Tape.

You Mean The World

Hello Everyone!  Today the JustRite Team are showcasing one of their first truly masculine sets - You Are My Anchor!  I tell you, I was so excited to see this set, because let's face it, masculine cards are difficult, so this is going to make my life SO much easier!!  :)  I chose to use the globe image because I was just so darn excited to see Australia on there, I just *had* to use it!!!!  :)
Now men don't like frilly cards, so mine is trying to be strong and masculine!  :)  My base is Not Quite Navy, White and Chocolate Chip and then I've used some Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags DP.  Across the bottom I've added another panel of white, Chocolate Chip (punched with the EK Success Dotted Wave punch), some more Pack Your Bags DP and then added some Hemp Twine tied in a Sailors Knot.  My centre and border from You Are My Anchor has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E21, YG93, B21, B23, 0).  I used Large Circle Nestabilies to cut it out and then used some Chocolate Chip cut with Fancy Tags 3 to frame it and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I simply added a few silver pearls to the top corner.

Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags DP

Annabelle Blog Hop

Hello Everyone!  Today I have the honour of joining the AnnaBelle Stamps team as a Guest Designer!!  Thank you so much to Andrea and the girls for having me today!  Most of you would know that my username at Splitcoaststampers is Wattle - so how could I refuse the opportunity of showcasing this beautiful set called Acacia, which is a WATTLE!!!!  I can't tell you how long I have wanted someone to bring out a Wattle stamp!!!  :)  Not only that, but this set has been designed by Iwona Palamountain  (aka Chupa) and hasn't she done a beautiful job!!!  When it comes to flowers, nothing says Australia more, than the green and gold of our National Flower!

I began with a base of white card, layered with green bazzill and some October Afternoon Fly A Kite DP.  The vertical panel is more green (punched with the MS Woodland Branch punch) and topped with more DP.  Over this I've added some white organdy ribbon and then some white satin ribbon.  I've stamped the Wattle image in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (Y21, Y28, Y17, YG91, G82, BG93, BG96, C5, 0).  It was cut out with Label 18 Nestabilities and then I sponged a little Memento Summer Sky around my flowers.  It is matted with more green bazzill cut with Label 17 Nestabilities and the whole panel is popped up on foam tape.  The sentiment is also from Acacia and has been made into a notched tag which is adhered between the white satin bow and yellow button.  Finally I added a couple of pearl drops to the right corners.

Stamps - Acacia (AnnaBelle Stamps)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Green Bazzill, October Afternoon Fly A Kite DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Label 17, Label 18 Nestabilities, MS Woodland Branch Punch, White Organdy and White Satin Ribbon, Yellow Button, Gold Cord, Teardrop Pearls, Foam Tape.

Beauty in the Spotlight

Hello Everyone!  If you haven't tried the Spotlight technique -- the goal is to make just part of your image POP! For this fun-filled challenge, let's use this technique and 'spotlight' only a portion of your image with color! Link up your Bringing Back Beautiful Challenge creation HERE to enter. If you upload to SCS, please use the keyword BBB11. You have until June 30th to enter! As we unveil our challenge for next month, we’ll share our True Beauties – those card makers who wowed us with this challenge! Winners will be featured on the Flourishes Blog and will receive a True Beauty blog button to display proudly on their blog!
For today's challenge I decide to use Flourishes' Berry Sweet stamp set and stamped it twice in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card.  The first one I coloured in cool greys for a black and white effect (C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, 0) and the second one I coloured the part that would become the spotlight in colours (R32, R35, R37, R39, V99, G24, G28, B000, 0).  The spotlight was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with black card cut with Small Circle Nestabilities.  The grey image was cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with red card cut with Labels 18 Nestabilities.  My base was made with red, white and black card and topped with some Bella Rose DP.  The vertical panel is made of black (punched with the MS Iron Gate punch) and topped with more Bella Rose DP and then added some White Crochet Lace.  On both panels of the Bella Rose DP I've done some zigzag sewing around the edges.  The image panel is popped up on foam tape and I finished by adding some Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to the right corners.

Stamps - Berry Sweet (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Riding Hood Red, White, Black, SU Bella Rose DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large and Small Circle, Large Oval and Labels 18 Nestabilities, White Crochet Lace, MS Iron Gate Punch, Sewing Machine, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

Pink Ballerina

Hello Everyone!  I suppose many of you are wondering where I have been.  Unfortunately I have been sick and have also had three sick kids - it has not been a fun household and little time to stamp.  I have been quietly preparing for a very big week next week, with something new to show you every day!!  To get back into the swing of things I've made this super cute and very girly card - inspired by my 3yr old daughter who loves this stamp and all things PINK!  :)

For the base I've used pink bazzill, white, another layer of pink and some MME paper that I found in my stash.  Across this I've used more pink, punched with a fiskars punch and topped with more MME and some white satin ribbon.  I used the Beaded Ovals Spellbinders to cut a piece of white card and then I airbrushed some RV23 on it while it was still in the die.  The stamp is Ballerina Marci by La La Land Crafts and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E000, E01, R20, RV21, RV23, RV000, BV000, BV00, G40, G82, E50, E51, E53, YR31, 0).  I cut her out with scissors and popped it up on X-press It Foam Mounting Tape.  To finish off I added a few Kaisercraft clear rhinestones to the top corners.  You can find all sorts of inspiration in the La La Land Customer Gallery.  :)

Stamps - Ballerina Marci (La La Land Crafts)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink Bazzill, White, MME Quite Contrary DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Beaded Oval Nestabilities, Fiskars Lazy Days of Summer Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones, Scissors, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!
