Hello Everyone! It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another journey around the globe with the Flourishes Beautiful World Team! This month our lovely hostess is Dina and she has challenged us to go Monochrome!! If you've landed here via Dina's Blog, then you are in the right place, if not, you can start the tour at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss any of the beautiful inspiration along the way!
Of course, every month there is a chance to win a Flourishes Stamp Set of your choice!! All you have to do is leave a comment on the designers' blogs before October 31st for your chance to win! :)
I've chosen.....PINK!!! :) I've used a base of pink card, layered with White and some MME DP that I found deep in my stash. Next I've created a square of DP and matted with more pink card and stamped the sentiment from Sweet Days of Summer in Memento Tuxedo Black and offset it on the card front. Across this is another piece of pink, border punched and topped with more DP. Across this is a pink of thin pink ribbon. The image is also from Sweet Days of Summer and has been stamped in pink ink, cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with pink card cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape. To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon and a couple of snowflake pearls to the corner.
Stamps - Sweet Days of Summer (Flourishes)
Paper - Pink, White, MME Lavender DP
Ink - Pink, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Iron Gate Border Punch, Pink Ribbon, Bow Easy, Foam Tape, Pearls.
The next destination for you today is Noami's Blog in CANADA!!
That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp! :)

BWT - Flowers of Our Country!
Hello Everyone!! It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!! If you've arrived here from Dina's Blog then you are in the right place!! If you've landed here by chance, you've missed all the fun! Why not start back at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss any of the gorgeous inspiration the team have for you today!
This month Naomi has challenged us to make a card using a flower that represents your country. Well this was a no-brainer for me....of course I was going to choose The Golden Wattle, the National Floral Emblem of Australia!! This fragrant fluffy golden orb blooms in Winter during July and August, which means it's flowering right now. :)
I've used a base of green card and layered with chocolate and a piece of Kaisercraft Great Southern Land DP. Down one side I've added another piece of Great Southern Land DP (and yes, those are wattle flowers on there too!) and matted it with chocolate that has been punched with Woodland Branch border punch. Over this I've attached a piece of green ribbon. The Golden Wattle from Flourishes' Bloomin' Aussie Florals stamp set has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto blending card and coloured with Copics (The Daffodil Collection and The Leaf Green Collection). It's been cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with green card cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and then popped up on foam tape. The sentiment is also from Bloomin' Aussie Florals and has been cut with Flourishes' Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass Die and glued to the bottom of the image panel. To finish I've added a bow and a couple of pearls to the corners.
Stamps - Bloomin' Aussie Florals (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Great Southern Land DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglas Die Set, Large Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities, Woodland Branch Border Punch, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Lemon Pearls, Foam Tape.
This is the last destination on today's Beautiful World Tour. We hope you've enjoyed today's hop and don't forget to comment for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice!! :)

BWT - Citrus in July
Hello Everyone and welcome to the July Beautiful World Tour!! If you've jetted in from Meredith's Blog then you are in the right place, if not you may want to start back at the Flourishes Blog! Today our hostess is Sasha and she's challenged us to use Citrus colours in our projects! I know it's Summer in many parts of the world and that it is Citrus season for them, but did you know that although it is Winter here in Australia, that it is Citrus time here too?? It's usually around the beginning of May (late Autumn here) that the mandarins start popping up in stores and then citrus fruits continue through Winter. Keep in mind, in our part of the world it never snows and even in the middle of winter most of the trees are green! :)
I've used the Flourishes Garden Gate stamp set for my Citrus themed card being inspired by the colours of Lemons, Limes and Oranges! I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with yellow, white and Summer Breeze DP. Across this is another piece of Old Olive punched with Woodland Branch border punch and topped with more Summer Breeze DP. Around this I've added a piece of Solid Wrinkled White ribbon. I've stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black on blending card and coloured with a variety of Copic markers from the Olive Green, Burnt Orange, Daffodil, Cool Neutrals and Terra Cotta Collections. I've cut this into a square and matted with Old Olive and yellow cut with Fleur De Lis Squares Nestabilities. I've added a small pearl flourish to the top corner, a double bow to the ribbon and stamped the sentiment from Garden Gate, cut with Classic Oval Large Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.
Stamps - Garden Gate (Flourishes)
Paper - Old Olive, White, Yellow, Blending Card, Kasiercraft Summer Breeze DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares, Large Oval Nestabilities, Solide Wrinkled White Ribbon, Bow Easy, MS Woodland Branch Border Punch, Pearl Flourish, Foam Tape.
The next stop on today's Beautiful World Tour is........Aleksandra in Slovenia!!

A Picture Says A Thousand Words
Hello Everyone and welcome to another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!! If you've jetted in from Sasha's blog in beautiful England, then you have arrived at the correct destination!!! If you've landed here by chance and don't want to miss all the beautiful creations the team have for you today, you can start your journey back at the Flourishes Blog!
Don't forget you can WIN a stamp set of your choice, simply by leaving comments on each of the team's blogs. You won't know which blog is this month's special destination, so make sure you comment on each one!!! :)
I'm the hostess today and have challenged the girls to create a project where 'A Picture Says A Thousand Words'. What this means is to create a project with only an image.....no sentiment and tell us what this image means to us!
I chose the beautiful dressmakers' form from Feminine Charm because it reminds me of my Grandmother! My Grandma was a dressmaker for about 80 years and made all the wedding gowns for the girls in the family and although she is 'retired' from dressmaking now (being a spritely 91yrs old), I have such fond memories of visiting her when I was young and there was a dress form in her spare room along with old industrial sewing machines and overlockers not to mention an amazing collection of all things related to sewing! I remember her telling me that her favourite colours were 'Autumn Tones' which, as a child was a little confusing since we live in the sub-tropics and the leaves are green all year round here! So today I've created my card to reflect her love of Autumn Tones and sewing!
I hope you've enjoyed your visit here in Australia, your next destination on today's Beautiful World Tour is.........Aleksandra is Slovenia!!

Beautiful World Tour Bookmarks!
Hello Beautiful World Tourists!!! Welcome to another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour! This month our hostess is Sasha and she has challenged us to make Bookmarks! We are also super excited to announce that our tour has a new destination......NORTHERN IRELAND!!! Please give our newest team member Bridget a big welcome to the Flourishes Team! If you've made your way here from Bridget's Blog, then you are in the right place, if not, you can catch all of the fabulous projects by starting back at the Flourishes Blog!
I have chosen Flourishes Letters in Blossom set to create three corner bookmarks! I've followed the step by step instructions found at Splitcoaststampers HERE and began by using a square of Baja Breeze cardstock punched with Arch Lattice Border Punch. Next I've added some white card that I've pierced on the edges and then a piece of pink card, punched along the bottom and topped with MME Lavender DP. I've stamped the letter K from Letters in Blossom in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured it with Copics (RV000, RV52, RV55, G40, G43, G46, YG61, YG63, YG67, Y21, Y35, Y38). I've cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted it with a piece of pink cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities.
Since I had such fun making this one, I decided to make a couple of extras! :)
I hope you've enjoyed your stop here in Australia, the next stop on the tour is Canada!

Today the girls have been inspired by Meredith who has challenged us to make TAGS! I have to admit I was never really excited about making tags once, but I really love it now!! They are small, quick and FUN! :)
I've cut a piece of purple bazzill using Flourishes' Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass Die for the tag shape. Next I traced the inside of the die onto Prima Meadowlark DP to create the next layer and stamped the sentiment from Sentimental Favorites in Memento Tuxedo Black onto it. Around these layers I've attached some seam binding and tied it into a bow. The flowers are from the Hydrangea stamp set and have been stamped in Memento Gray Flannel and coloured with Copics (Hydrangea Collection). I've cut it out with Small Circle Nestabilities and matted it with darker purple bazzill cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities. I've then cut another panel using the Perfectly Pierced Classic Hourglass Die and secured some dark purple satin ribbon in between the two layers for the loop. To finish I've added a Prima Meadowlark rose and Prima pin to the bow.
Stamps - Hydrangea, Sentimental Favorites (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Purple and Dark Purple Bazzill, Prima Meadowlark DP

December Beautiful World Tour!
Hello Everyone and welcome to this month's Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!! If you've jetted in from Naomi's Blog, then you are at the correct destination, if not, you may want to start back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so that you don't miss any of this month's beauties!! This month our hostess is Naomi and she's challenged us to SHINE!! The weather is turning cold in Canada where Naomi lives, however here in Australia it has just officially turned to SUMMER, what could be more lovely than a beautiful vase of flowers to celebrate Summer?? :) I was inspired by Flourishes' Garden Picks stamp set for this month's challenge!
I began with a base of vanilla cut with Grand Labels 23 (which I added a little extra colour to by airbrushing some RV52 on it). It's been layered with some light aqua card and a piece of FabScraps Marie Antoinette Pink Carriage DP. Around this I've added a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace. Next I've cut a piece of pink Bazzill with Floral Oval Nestabilities and adhered it to the front. Over this I've attached a piece of pale pink taffeta ribbon. The flowers and vase images from Garden Picks has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV52, RV55, G40, G43, G46, B0000, B000, YR30 and YR31) and then cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities. Attach image to the front of the card and then use some Clear Gel Glue to attach buttons and bow.
So......where does the Shine come in???? I've used the same X-press It Clear Gel Glue to go over the top of the water in my image......hey presto, instant glossy water effect! (Make sure you let it dry REALLY well!!!)
Stamps - Garden Picks (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Pink Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Aqua, FabScraps Marie Antoinette Pink Carriage DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval and Floral Oval Nestabilities, Grand Labels 23 Nestabilities, Ivory Crochet Lace, Pink Taffeta Ribbon, Buttons, X-press It Clear Gel Glue.

We've all been inspired by other talented papercrafters at various times and a CASE challenge (Copy And Share Everything) is one of the best ways to get those creative juices flowing! Come travel with us and see which team member has inspired us to get crafty!
If you've jetted in from Linda's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!
Today I'm casing Naomi and found this super sweet baby card on her blog!
I've kept the pink theme, changed the black to white, used a different stamp set and removed the sentiment tag.
For my card, I've used a base of pink bazzill and layered with a piece of white that I've cut with Romantic Rectangle Nestabilities.
Next I've cut a piece of Kaisercraft The Lake House DP and curved the corners. Over this panel I've added a piece of white crochet lace and topped with some pretty pink satin pleated ribbon. The feature panel is the Summer Blossoms set stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and has been coloured with Copics and cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with white cut with Lacey Oval Nestabilities. This month the hostess is Anne-Elise and we've been challenged to Remember our Friends! Where would we be without our friends? We laugh together and share our dreams, and when things are hard, we want to be there for them or be a shoulder to cry on when they grieve. Today we remember those friends with Sympathy, Missing You, Thinking of You or even Wishing You Were Here cards and perhaps we'll even have a special story to tell you about those friends that have inspired us along the way.
If you've jetted in from Anne-Elise's blog, then you have arrived at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!
Today I've chosen to use Flourishes' Cherries and Peaches Stamp Set for my card. We develop so many friendships over the years and as our lives get busier with work, family and moving towns, we sometimes lose touch with each other. The beauty of a true friend is when, even after years of losing touch, when you catch up it's like you only spoke to each other last week. I have a couple of friends like this and it's always special when we catch up again. When I saw the sentiment in the Cherries and Peaches set, it reminded me of those friends - no matter how long it's been, we haven't grown apart and will always be friends! :)
I made my card with a base of Riding Hood Red and layered with Old Olive and white. Then I took some more Old Olive and cut it with Spellbinders new Basic Lattice die and glued it to the white layer. Over this I've added a piece of Black/Cream grosgrain ribbon to one side. I've stamped the cherries onto blending card and coloured them with Copics (Pistachio Collection and Dahlia Collection). It's been cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities, matted with red cut with Tear Drop Circle Nestabilities and framed with a large white paper doily. I've stamped the sentiment from the same set in Memento Tuxedo Black, cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with red cut with Small Circle Nestabilities. To finish I've added a few Kasiercraft Silver Rhinestones to the corners.
Thanks for taking time to visit me here in Australia, it's time to grab your passports and board Flourishes Flight BWT, your next destination is.........

It's a Beautiful World
Hello Everyone and welcome to the first Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!! Those of you who have been following Flourishes for a while will know that the first Monday of the month used to be the Bring Back Beautiful Challenge. As we celebrate Flourishes' 5th Birthday, there have been some changes and one of those is our team! No longer are we a challenge team, instead we have FOUR new members to the team - Sasha, Dina, Anne-Elise and Meredith - (WELCOME girls, we are excited to have you join us!!) and each month, travel the world with us and be inspired by talented girls from all parts of the globe!!! We are now represented by Australia, United States, Canada, Finland, England and Germany and each month one of the girls will be hosting the hop on the Flourishes blog, sharing a little about their creation and maybe even a little about their corner of the world!
So.....what does this mean for YOU?? Instead of being challenged to create and play along, all we ask is you do a little globetrotting and stamp our passports (leave us a comment) and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP SET!!!! Yes, you heard right, leave a comment and have the chance to win!! The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this week's vacation spot (chosen blog) so leave a comment on each one by AUGUST 31st for your chance to win!!
If you've jetted in from South East Asia from Dina's blog then you have arrived at the right destination. If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your journey back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog so you don't miss any of the inspiration along the way!!
This month the hostess is........ME!!! Welcome to Australia!!! :) Our theme this month is to be inspired by a SONG! I thought that I would choose a song, originally written by the native people on the far northern island of Elcho Island (off the Northern Territory) called My Island Home. After gaining nation wide recognition being sung by Christine Anu, it has become something of an unofficial anthem of Australia. As far as size goes Australia is a large country, in fact very similar in size to the United States, however we are entirely surrounded by ocean and it's often called the Island Continent!
With My Island Home playing in my head, I've created my card using Windows to the World and used a wavy card base as a sort of tribute to the sea that surrounds our beautiful country! I started with a base of Old Olive cut with Wavy Rectangle Nestabilities to create the shaped card. Next I used the same die, placed it on a piece of white and drew a line on the inside of the die and cut it out with a pair of scissors to create a mat. I then took the next smallest die to cut a piece of MME Good Day Sunshine (I keep calling it the G'day Sunshine paper) DP for the next layer and attached a piece of green satin ribbon around it. I've stamped the island window image and sentiment from Windows to the World in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (Walnut Collection, Creamy Collection, Candy Pink Collection, Leaf Green Collection, Ice Blue Collection, Iced Aqua Collection).
I've cut this out with Labels 25 Nestabilities and used a paper piercer and Mat Pack to pierce around the edge of the die cut. I've then matted it with more Old Olive, this time cut with Labels 10 Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape. To finish I've added a green satin bow and Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to each of the corners.
Stamps - Windows to the World (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Old Olive, White, MME Good Day Sunshine DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Wavy Rectangle, Labels 25 and Labels 10 Nestabilities, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kasiercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.
I hope you've enjoyed visiting Australia - the next stop on your Beautiful World Tour is......BEAUTIFUL CANADA to visit MEREDITH
Thanks for visiting and happy traveling!! :)
