Love You

Hello Everyone!!  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  We've just returned from our Christmas break, spending time with family and I thought I'd finish the year with a card using some of the December release stamps by JustRite.  Did you know that JustRite are also having a 25% off sale until January 4th??!!  If you were away or simply very busy (like we were!), now's the time to sit back and grab yourself a bargain!!  :)  Nothing like a bit of retail therapy to celebrate the end of the year.  :)

After a week away, I had to find my creative Mojo again and came across the latest CASE Study challenge (CSC122) which can be found HERE!  Such a beautiful inspiration piece!!  :)

I've created the base with Baja Breeze and layered with Black.  Next I took a piece of white card and stamped the Elegant Damask Background stamp in Teal Zeal.  Then I created another layer of black and this time stamped the same background stamp in Summer Sky onto white.  Over these panels I've added a large ZVA pearl flourish and a black ribbon.  Of course I couldn't find a matching ribbon amongst all my masses of ribbon, so I took some white and coloured it with BG57 Copic Marker - YAY, perfect match!!  :)  I've attached this and then added a couple of loops of coloured ribbon as well.  Next I created the rosette out of some card that I found that was the perfect match - I'm not sure what this is, it's Stampin Up, but I have no idea what the colour is.  I've stamped the frame from JustRite's Antique Valentine's Tags One in Teal Zeal and then stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and cut it out with the matching die from Antique Tags One Dies and attached to the top of the rosette.

Stamps - Elegant Damask Background, Antique Valentine's Tags One (JustRite)
Paper - Baja Breeze, White, Black, Unknown Stampin Up colour
Ink - Memento Teal Zeal, Summer Sky, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Antique Tags One Dies, Scor Buddy, Black Ribbon, White Ribbon, BG57, ZVA Pearl Flourish, X-press It Clear Gel Glue.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you all have a wonderful 2013!

Journal Gift

Hello Everyone! Today, instead of a card I have a Journal!  Every year I make these for my children to give their teachers for the end of the school year.  Here in Australia the school year finishes in December which is followed by the long Summer Break.  This one went to my daughter's Kindy teacher (who also taught my two boys) who told me she was looking forward to getting another as early as September!  :)  I'm happy to say she loved this one!

I began with a Spirax notebook and then cut a piece of paper to size and punched the side with the spiral edge punch.  I've used the flip side of the paper to create a panel down the side and topped it with a couple of ribbons.  I've stamped the image from Flourishes' Summer Blossoms (perfect for the hot Summer weather we are having now!) in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics and cut with the Large Oval Nestabilities.  I've matted it with Vintage Pink Bazzill cut with Floral Oval Nestabilities.  To finish I've cut out the letters for the name and added a few pink pearls to the corner.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hello Everyone!!  Today's project is a giftbox that I made using my Silhouette Cameo!  Looooove this machine!  :)  I downloaded the template from the Silhouette Store and cut it out of red cardstock.  Next I found a Stampin' Up Wheel and added a light pattern all over and tied it up with a silver and green bow.  I covered the window opening (which in hindsight would have been better to take the window out BEFORE cutting) with a piece of pretty Christmas paper.  Next I made the tag!  I had this cute Santa image from Flourishes' Joy is in the Air stamp set just begging to be coloured with Copics!  After it was coloured, I've cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and matted it with some green cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities.  I've then popped it up on a piece of red cut with Labels 18 Nestabilities and embossed it with Dainty Dots M-Bossibilities.  I've tied it to my pretty packaging with a piece of gold cord!

I used this packaging for the Secret Santa gift exchange at my work Christmas party!  :)

Stamps - Joy is in the Air (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Red, Green, Bo Bunny DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red Ink
Accessories - Copics, Silhouette Cameo, Template, Circle, Lacey Circle and Labels 18 Nestabilities, Silver and Green Ribbons, Gold Cord, Stampin Up Wheel.

Stamps - Trimmed with Love (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spica Pens, Decorative Labels 8 Nestabilities, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones, X-press It Glue Marker, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.

I began with a base of vanilla cut with Grand Labels 23 (which I added a little extra colour to by airbrushing some RV52 on it).  It's been layered with some light aqua card and a piece of FabScraps Marie Antoinette Pink Carriage DP.  Around this I've added a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace.  Next I've cut a piece of pink Bazzill with Floral Oval Nestabilities and adhered it to the front.  Over this I've attached a piece of pale pink taffeta ribbon.  The flowers and vase images from Garden Picks has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV52, RV55, G40, G43, G46, B0000, B000, YR30 and YR31) and then cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities.  Attach image to the front of the card and then use some Clear Gel Glue to attach buttons and bow.

So......where does the Shine come in????  I've used the same X-press It Clear Gel Glue to go over the top of the water in my image......hey presto, instant glossy water effect!  (Make sure you let it dry REALLY well!!!)

You are the Best!

Hello Everyone!  Today I've made a quick fun card which would work well for a male!  We all know how difficult those dreaded MAN CARDS can be!!  This one comes together in a snap, still has some ribbon and bling, but not so much that it's girly!!  :)

I've created my base with Grand Labels 23 Nestabilities (yes, I admit I've become rather addicted to these dies!!) and white card, then cut another piece of white to cover the front.  Then I decided that I didn't like the white, so I airbrushed it with BG11!!  Hee Hee!!!  (I'm also addicted to my Copics and Airbrush!).  The next panel is made of dark blue bazzill and layered with some MME Bluebell DP.  Around this I've wrapped some white and very dark blue grosgrain ribbons.  The feature panel is from JustRite's new Premium Labels and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (B23, B000, BG11).  It's been cut out with the matching JustRite Antique Labels One Die.  I've popped this up on foam tape and added a couple of pewter pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Premium Labels (JustRite)
Paper - White, Blue Bazzill, MME Bluebell DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - JustRite Antique Labels One Dies, Grand Labels 23 Nestabilities, Copics, White and Blue Grosgrain Ribbons, Kaisercraft Pewter Pearls, Foam Tape

The Golden Wattle

Hello Everyone!  Today is Create With Me Monday over on the Flourishes Blog and I've got a tutorial on how to colour this beautiful Wattle flower image!  Of course I'm a little partial to the fluffy Wattle since it is the National Floral Emblem of Australia and also the inspiration for my username over at Splitcoaststampers!  :)

The card itself is made of Old Olive card and layered with Very Vanilla (pierced) and topped with some Kaisercraft Great Southern Land SA paper.  Over this is a piece of Kasiercraft Great Southern Land NT paper matted with Old Olive.  The flag strip is from the bottom of the same paper.  The Wattle has been stamped and coloured with Copics (see the Flourishes Blog for details).  It's been cut out with Labels 25 and matted with Old Olive cut with Labels 23.  The sentiment has been stamped and made into a double notched tag and attached across the bottom.

Paper - Pink Bazzill (two shades), White, Blending Card, Kaisercraft Tigerlilly DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Want2Scrap Labels 18 Nestabling, Grand Labels 23, Labels 18 Nestabilities, Lacey Oval Nestabilities, Organdy Ribbon, Bow Easy, Foam Tape.

Addicted to Dies!

Hello Everyone!!  I suppose it comes as no surprise to anyone that I have a somewhat obsessive addiction to dies!!  :)  Today I realised as I was making this card that I used 4 different die sets!!! LOL!!!  I also as able to use some of these pretty new Petaloo White Forget Me Nots!  :)

So how did I make this?  I cut a base of white card using Resplendent Rectangles (over the top of the fold), then cut a separate piece of pink using the same die and gluing it to the front (so you don't see the fold of the card or cut off bits of the decorative panel).  Next I cut white using the smaller two dies from the same set.  While the smaller one was still in the die, I've stamped it with Memento Desert Sand and JustRite's Embroidered Background stamp.  The sentiment panel is from Friends Antique Labels One and has been stamped using Bamboo Leaves for the label and Rich Cocoa for the sentiment and then cut out with the matching Antique Labels One Dies.  I've then matted this with a piece of pink cut with Lacey Ovals Nestabilities.  To finish I've created a flower using Prima Meadow Lark paper and Bitty Blossoms Dies and leaves in Old Olive from the same die set and accented with a couple of Petaloo White Forget Me Nots.  :)

Stamps - Friends Antique Labels One, Embroidered Background (JustRite)
Paper - White, Pink, Prima Meadow Lark DP
Ink - Memento Desert Sand, Bamboo Leaves, Rich Cocoa
Accessories - JustRite Antique Labels One Dies, Spellbinders Lacey Ovals, Resplendent Rectangle and Bitty Blossoms, Petaloo White Forget Me Nots, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

JustRite - Petaloo Christmas Inspiration Week Day 5!

It's day five of our Christmas Inspiration week with JustRite and Petaloo Flowers.  The design team is having so much fun using Petaloo Flowers on their projects.  Be sure to hop on over to the Petaloo Blog to see what their design team member has created with our stamps and their flowers.

I've made my base with Grand Labels 23, first cutting a piece of white folded over and then added a separate Riding Hood Red panel over the top.  Then I took the next size down of Grand Labels 23 and cut another piece of white that has been stamped with JustRite's Embroidered Background stamp in Memento Rhubarb Stalk and attached a piece of white satin ribbon.  Next I cut another piece of red with Floral Oval Nestabilities, added a few pieces of bling and two Mini Poinsettias to the bottom corner!  Aren't they gorgeous!!!  :)
Next I've stamped the ornament from Holiday Cheer Ornaments, also in Rhubarb Stalk and added a few touches of green Copic and the sentiment from the same set in Tuxedo Black and cut it out with the matching 2012 Heirloom Ornament Nestabilities.
To finish I've added a white bow to the top of the ornament!  :)

Stamps - Holiday Cheer Ornaments and Embroidered Background (JustRite)
Paper - Riding Hood Red, White
Ink - Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Petaloo Mini Poinsettias, Grand Labels 23, Floral Oval and 2012 Heirloom Ornament Nestabilities, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.

For the Love of.......Animals

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Design's Alumni Team's bi-monthly For the Love Blog Hop.  This week the Alumni team along with some of the ODBD designers are featuring a hop For the Love of Animals! Check out each link and leave a comment. If you get lost along the way, check the ODBD blog for full list of links.  One of the post is a hop hot spot and a name will be drawn from that list of comments to win a $15 ODBD store gift certificate.  So, all you have to do is hop along and see all the creations and leave a little love!  You have until Wednesday, November 7th at 6 pm (US EST).   Enjoy all the beautiful designs featuring For the Love of Animals!

If you've arrived here from Deb's blog, then you are in the right place, if not, you may want to start back at the ODBD Blog so you don't miss any of the inspiration along the way.  I've chosen Noah's Ark for my card today, as soon as I heard the hop was Animal themed, I thought, what could be more perfect than an Ark full of animals in the Noah's Ark stamp set!!  :)
Today I've started with a base of blue bazzill and layered with white (pierced) and some DCWV paper.  Next I've stamped the Noah's Ark in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics and cut out with scissors.  This was popped up on foam tape over the embossed Labels 1 and Decorative Labels 1 panel.  To finish I've added a blue ribbon, blue bow and a notched tag using the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Stamps - Noah's Ark (ODBD)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blue Bazzill, White, DCWV Nana's Nursery
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Labels 1 and Decorative Labels 1 Nestabilities, Bricks and Bark Mbossibilities, Blue Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Scissors, X-press It High Tack Foam Tape.

Your next stop is the lovely and amazingly talented SILKE!
