Tres Chic

Hello Everyone!  I know it's been a long time since my last post,  I have made several cards for the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen this month, however I can't show them on my blog, so you can see those HERE and find a link to this month's challenges HERE!!!  (Don't forget you have to be a Fan Club member to have access to this area!)  I've also been flat out with the kids and back to school after Easter Break chaos!!

Here's a card that I made earlier this month for the Copic Oz Blog for a tutorial all about creating a 'glow' around your images.

I've used a pale purple bazzill and Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles for the base, topped with some Prima Meadow Lark DP and repeated that combination for the next panel.  The image is from Flourishes' Feminine Charm stamp set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics.  I've stamped the sentiment and created a tag and secured it with a pink button.

Stamps - Feminine Charm (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pale Purple Bazzill, Prima Meadow Lark DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, Button, Twine.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!

JustRite April Release Day 5

Hello Everyone and welcome to the fifth and final day of the JustRite April Release!!  Today we are showcasing the background stamps released this month!  I've used the new Secret Garden Background and also the flower from Floral Thank You showcased on Monday.
I've used a piece of Riding Hood Red for my base and die cut the bottom with the Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One dies.  Next I've stamped the Secret Garden Background in Memento Rhubarb Stalk onto Kraft cardstock and cut the bottom to match with the same A2 Bracket Borders One die set.  I've cut a piece of Kraft using the Large Ovals Nestabilities and stamped the flower from Floral Thank You using Copics.  I've coloured the flower with R59, E87 and G85 and then 'coloured' the kraft oval with the Copic Colourless Blender.  While the card is still wet with blender, I've stamped the flower - the colourless blender reactivates the ink on the stamp for a crisp stamped image.  I've matted this with more red card cut with Lacey Oval Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a few Kaisercraft Latte pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Special Friends Backgrounds, Floral Thank You (JustRite)
Paper - Riding Hood Red, Kraft
Ink - Memento Rhubarb Stalk
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One, Large Oval and Lacey Oval Nestabilities, Foam Tape, Kasiercraft Latte Pearls.

Heart Full of Love

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 4 of the JustRite Papercraft April Release!!  Today we are showcasing a new clear set called Vintage Banners!  Just to be different I haven't used the banner image but thought this lovely sentiment would be perfect on a heart die cut!  :)

I've used a base of Kraft card and layered with Petalsoft Bazzill and a piece of Kaisercraft Lake House DP.  Down the middle I've created a notched tag from another piece of Lake House DP.  Across the top is some *divine* Crochet Lace with Velvet from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store (seriously how gorgeous is this!!).  Underneath the ribbon is a strip from the Lake House paper pad - already cut to that shape.  Next is a piece of bazzill cut with Spellbinders Tear Drop Circle Nestabilities that's been popped up on X-press It Foam Tape and layered with some corrugated card (that I rescued from an old packing box) cut with Spellbinders Classic Heart die.  The sentiment is from Vintage Banners and has been stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut out with Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a couple of ZVA roses, some greenery using bazzill cut with Foliage Two dies and a couple of buttons.

Stamps - Vintage Banners (JustRite)
Paper - Kraft, Very Vanilla, Petalsoft Bazzill, Kaisercraft Lake House DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Spellbinders: Tear Drop Circle, Classic Heart Nestabilities, Fancy Framed Tags One and Foliage Two Shapeabilities, Crochet Lace with Velvet,  ZVA Flowers, Buttons, X-press It Foam Tape.

Elegant Wedding Card

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day Three of the JustRite Papercraft release!!  Today we are showcasing a beautiful new set called Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four that is perfect for Weddings with a stunning, elegant frame and plenty of mix and match sentiments and ampersands!!!
I've used a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Fawn Bazzill and another piece of vanilla.  I've used Romantic Rectangle Nestabilities to cut some soft pink Bazzill and then topped it with more vanilla that has been stamped with JustRite's Floral Flourishes Background in Memento Desert Sand ink.  Down the side I've added a strip of pink cut with Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One (not that you can see it very clearly), a wide piece of ivory satin ribbon and a piece of beautiful Pink Pleated Trim (that I found at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store).  I've made the flowers using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and pink bazzill and vanilla, adding a little airbrushing with Copics (E43 on the pink and RV32 on the ivory).  The flourishes are from Spellbinders Foliage Two, cut using Vanilla and airbrushed with a little YG93 Copic.  I've then cut out a piece of vanilla card using Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two and airbrushed it with RV32.  Then I've stamped the 'Mr' and 'Mrs' sentiments from Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four in Memento Rich Cocoa and then overstamped the ampersand in Memento Desert Sand and popped it up on foam tape.

Stamps - Mr & Mrs Vintage Labels Four, Floral Flourishes Background (JustRite)

Ink - Memento Desert Sand, Rich Cocoa

April Beautiful World Tour

Hello Everyone and welcome to another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!  If you've jetted in from Bridget's Blog, then you are in the right place!!  If you've just landed here and don't want to miss all the fabulous creations from around the world, start back in Florida at the Flourishes Blog!  Don't forget that you can WIN a Flourishes stamp set of your choice simply by commenting on the hop from today right through to the 30th April!

This month, our Hostess is Anne-Elise who has challenged us to a CHILDHOOD theme!  I have chosen to use Flourishes' Strawberries stamp set.  I grew up in a small country town and every year we would drive to a near by town to go to the Strawberry Festival and we thought it was awesome!!  It became a running joke in the family when Dad went to get his bowl of strawberries and they'd ask 'Cream or Ice-cream?'....to which Dad replied, 'Yes thanks'  (meaning, I'll have both thanks).  After a while they didn't even bother to ask him and automatically added both.  :)   Not only were there beautiful strawberries to eat, but each year we *HAD* to buy one of Mrs Haywood's divine Chelsea Buns!!  Ah.....memories!  :)

I've used a base of red cardstock and layered with white cut with Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight.  Around the A2 Filigree Delight layer I've attached white and red satin ribbons.  I've stamped the strawberry basket from the Strawberries stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (R30, R32, R35, R37, R39, RV99, E42, E44, E47, E49, E50, E51, E53, G20, G21, G24, G28, BG0000).  I've cut this out and matted it with red cut with Flourishes' Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die, matted again with aqua cut with Large Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  I've stamped the sentiment from the same set and cut it out with the smallest of the dies in the Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals die set and popped it up on foam tape and finished by adding a bow to the ribbon.

Stamps - Strawberries (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Red, White, Aqua
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals, Spellbinders Large Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, A2 Filigree Delight, White and Red Satin Ribbons, Bow Easy, Foam Tape.

The next destination on your world tour today is our lovely hostess, Anne-Elise in Finland!!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your tour around the Flourishes' world!
