Happy 10th Birthday!!!

Hello Everyone!!!  Today we are celebrating my son's 10th Birthday!!  I can't believe my firstborn is 10 already!!!  Where did that time go?  It seems like yesterday that he was a baby and now is growing into a smart, sensitive, thoughtful, wonderful young man!!  Happy Birthday Zac - we are so proud of you!!!

The card is made of a base of black and layered with white and some Echo Park Happy Days DP.  The middle panel is more black and topped with more Happy Days DP.  The feature panel is black cut with Large Circle Nestabilities, White cut with Large Pinking Circle Nestabilities and Blue cut with Labels 16 Nestabilities.  The numbers are from a really old SU set called Headline Numbers, that I will never get rid of because they are perfect for those difficult masculine card (apparently there is to be no more cutesy stuff because he's too cool!).  :)  I've added a couple of little black Want2Scrap rhinestones to the corners otherwise it just seemed too bare!

Stamps - Headline Numbers (SU)
Paper - Black, White, Blue, Echo Park Happy Days DP
Ink - Memento Danube Blue
Accessories - Large Circle, Large Pinking Circle and Labels 16 Nestabilities, Want2Scrap Black Rhinestones.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Deepest Sympathy

Today's card is made using the Colorless Blender Bleaching technique!  The tutorial for this fabulous technique has been done by Colleen Schaan - one of the amazing Copic Instructors in the USA, and you can find her fabulous tutorial in the Resources section at Splitcoaststampers!!

I began by following the tutorial by airbrushing Copics (B32, B34 and B37) onto some photographic paper.  Then I used my Mist It which had been filled with Colorless Blender Solution to spritz (not to heavily) a silhouette stamp (Upsy Daisy by SU) and stamped it onto my airbrushed paper.  It was cut out with Small Oval Nestabilites, matted with white cut with Large Ovals and then matted again with white and blue cut with two sizes of Label 4 Nestabilities.  The sentiment is from JustRite's Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse set, which fits perfectly inside the Fancy Tags Spellbinders.  Finally I created my base of alternating blue and white, embossing the top white layer with the Victoria EF.  I finished by adding some blue pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Upsy Daisy (SU), Sympathy Nested Sentiments and Verse (JustRite)
Paper - Photographic Paper, White, Blue
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Airbrush System, Colorless Blender, Mist It Spray, Victoria EF, Label 4, Large and Small Oval Nestabilities, Fancy Tags, Blue Pearls.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Sweet Daffodils

Hello Everyone!!!  Today's card is one I made a little while ago but hadn't had the chance to post.  Finally after 2wks of no internet connection because of the Brisbane floods - our cable has been restored!!!  It's amazing how much you miss it when you don't have it!!!  My boys are back at school after the Summer break and I'm hoping life will start getting into some sort of routine again!!

I started with a yellow base and layered with green bazzill and white (punched with the Fiskars Lace Border Punch) and topped with some Basic Grey DP that I found in my stash.  The Daffodils are from Flourishes' Year of Flowers 1 set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (Y21, Y35, Y38, YG11, YG13, YG17, BG0000).  I've cut it out with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with yellow bazzill cut with Beaded Oval Nestabilities.  All die cutting has been done with my Raspberry Friend (aka the Grand Calibur!).  :)  To finish I added the sentiment from SU's Short and Sweet set and a couple of Kaisercraft Snow Pearls in the corners.

Stamps - Year of Flowers 1 (Flourishes), Short and Sweet (SU)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Yellow, Green and White Bazzill, Basic Grey DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities, Grand Calibur, Fiskars Lace Border Punch, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

A Daisy Bouquet

Welcome to the JustRite Garden Tour!!!  Today the team are showcasing four sets that will be available from the 7th February!!!  I have chosen to use the Beautiful Blossoms set - a set of four centres and borders in the large oval shape!!!  If you read my post when I used the large circle daisy from My Garden you would realise my love for daises!!!  In fact this beautiful bouquet somewhat resembles my wedding bouquet!!!  :)  Since we are talking about daisies, if you happen to be near Nambour (QLD) on February 6th, why not call ahead or pop into Daisy Chain Scrapbooks - I'm going to be there demonstrating this and other new JustRite sets!!!  :)

I started this card with a base of Baja Breeze and layered with yellow bazzill (pierced around the edge), Not Quite Navy and some Urban Garden DSP.  The vertical panel is more yellow bazzill punched on one side with the Martha Stewart Floral Lace Border Punch and layered with more Urban Garden DSP.  Over the top of that I added some 1" White Satin Ribbon and attached a large bow and yellow button (thanks to my friend Michelle).  To the side of this I added some Old Olive that has been cut using the Label 8 Nestabilities.  I stamped the centre and border from Beautiful Blossoms twice - once in Jet Black Stazon and once in Not Quite Navy.  I decided to handcut the oval because I wanted a very close trim and then sponged the centre with Summer Sun and popped it up on foam tape.  I coloured the daisies and cut them out and popped them up on foam squares.  To finish I added some Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to each corner of the Label 8.

Keep hopping and see what gorgeous projects the rest of the team have created!!!!!

I Fought the Contact....

and the contact won.  School in Australia starts back on Wednesday after the Australia Day Holiday, so today I have been finishing off covering books and labeling everything possible.  Contact is NOT my friend!!!  :(  Needless to say, today's card is a nice quick, easy one and bonus....it qualifies for the WT challenge to cut and pop!  :)

I started with a base of light pink bazzill, layered with darker pink and some MME Whirlybird DSP.  The middle panel is more darker pink layered with more MME.  Across the bottom I've added some vanilla grosgrain ribbon.  Popped on top of the ribbon is the present stack from Flourishes 'All Wrapped Up' set that was coloured in markers and cut out.  To finish I added  the sentiment from SU's Elegant Cheer to the corner and some Kaisercraft Rose Pearls to the ribbon.

LIM/MIM For My Friend

Hi Everyone!!  I really liked this week's SCS Sketch challenge (which strangely enough resembles the Featured Stamper card I made?!) and after thinking about it for a while, I thought this would also be fabulous to use for the Dirty Dozen Less Is More/More Is More (LIM/MIM - only accessible to Fan Club Members) challenge too!!!  So I've combined these challenges to create two cards today!!!  :)

I started with the LIM card, using this week's Sketch.  A base of Very Vanilla, layered with Close to Cocoa, Pale Pink Bazzill and more Vanilla.  The three vertical strips are more Cocoa embossed with the Jemara EF and then added some pink satin ribbon across the middle.  The feature panel has been stamped with Plant a Little Love (new release by JustRite Stampers), coloured with markers and then added the sentiment from Elegant Cheer (SU) and cut out with Label 6 Nestabilities and popped the panel up on foam tape.

My MIM card has the same Vanilla base, Cocoa and pink and then I embossed the next Vanilla layer with the Jemara EF.  Instead of rectangles I made the Cocoa strips using the Fancy Tags and attached the pink satin ribbon as above.  This time I stamped the roses from Plant a Little Love, coloured and cut them out with scissors and popped them up on the Label 6 die cut that has also been stamped with the same sentiment.  To finish I added a pink satin bow to the side and some Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the tag panels.

Stamps - Plant a Little Love (JustRite), Elegant Cheer (SU)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Pale Pink Bazzill
Ink - Jet Black Stazon, Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Label 6 Nestabilities, Fancy Tags, 1" and 1/2" pink satin ribbon, Bow Easy, Jemara EF, Kasiercraft Blush Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

FS154 A Touch of Red

I'm a little late posting this on my blog due to all the JustRite fun we've had going on this week!!  :)  This is the card I made for this week's FS Challenge.  The honour this week goes to Anne (aka jdmommy) and I chose her Layered Tulips in RED card.  Anne has a clean and simple style and a huge love of RED!  I changed the images, omitted the sentiment and used embossing instead of paper.

I started with a base of red bazzill and layered with white and more red embossed with the Jemara EF.  Across the middle I attached two pieces of black satin ribbon.  Next I stamped the flowers from Artfully Asian three times in black and coloured with markers and a blender pen.  I used the Fancy Tags die to draw a line around each and cut them out with a cutter and matted them on three black Fancy Tags die cuts.  Finished with a small black Kaisercraft pearl in each corner.

Stamps - Artfully Asian (SU)
Paper - Black, White and Red Bazzill
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Always Artichoke
Accessories - Fancy Tags Spellbinders, Jemara EF, Black Satin Ribbon, Black Kaisercraft Pearls.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!

Hydrangea Birthday

Today the girls at JustRite are able to start showing you sneak peeks of the up coming January Release!!!!  Next week 3 new sets will be available - including the one I am sneak peeking for you today - Plant a Little Love.  This is a set of 4 centres and borders in the 3 1/2" size and they are all beautiful flowers to colour!  I choose to use this beautiful hydrangea and the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge C4C19, to create a Birthday Card!  :)

I started with a base of Baja Breeze and layered with white (pierced around the edge), Old Olive and Urban Garden DSP.  Across the middle is a piece of white punched on both sides with the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice Punch and layered with more Baja Breeze.  The Hydrangea and border from Plant a Little Love has been stamped twice - once in Old Olive and once in Black.  The olive impression had a little sponging to the centre and was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted on some Kiwi Kiss cut with the matching scalloped nestabilities.  I then coloured the hydrangea from the black impression with markers and a blender pen and cut it out with scissors and popped it up with foam squares and adhered the whole panel to the centre of the card.  To finish I added the sentiment from JustRite's Just A Note set to the bottom corner and added vintage corners to the other three and embellished with a Kaisercraft Bliss Pearl.

Want to see more inspiration???  Stop by Heidi, Barb, Angela, Michele and the JustRite Blog to see more beautiful creations!!

Stamps - Plant a Little Love, Just A Note (JustRite)

Tangerine Birthday Wishes

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your Christmas Break!  While you read this I am away visiting family and enjoying a break from routine!  You may remember that before I went away, I was working on a set of cards that I was giving my grandmother for Christmas.  This is one that I made for her - let's face it, you can never have too many Birthday Cards!!

I was inspired by a recent Mojo Sketch, although I made this after the week's cut off.  I started with a base of Tangerine Tango and layered with white and some Bloom and Grow DSP.  Across that I've added some striped Bloom and Grow that was matted with green bazzill punched both sides with the Martha Stewart Lattice Arch Border Punch.  The image is from SU's Bloomin' with Beauty (Bloomin' Beautiful in the US) and stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Groovy Guava, Always Artichoke and Creamy Caramel.  I cut it out and popped it up on an embossed piece of white which is matted with Hazel Bazzill and more Tangerine Tango.  I finished off by adding the sentiment (Sincere Salutations - SU), Kaisercraft Blush Pearls to the top corner and also to many of the flower centres.

Stamps - Bloomin' with Beauty (Bloomin' Beautiful), Sincere Salutation (SU)
Paper - Tangerine Tango, Pear and Hazel Bazzill, White, Bloom and Grow DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Groovy Guava, Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel
Accessories - Small, Large and Large Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Lattice Arch Border Punch, Swiss Dots EF, Kaisercraft Blush Pearls, Scissors and Foam Tape.

WSC109 Congrats EDNA!!!

Today I finally had the chance to play along with Beate's Weekend Sketch Challange!  Of course I HAD to play because the inspiration for this week's challenge came from my BFF Edna!!!!  WOOHOOO!!!!!!  :)  The card that inspired this week's challenge can be found HERE!

This was actually quite a quick card to make, starting with a base of white and layering with Pink Pirouette and more white.  I punched one end of the white with Martha Stewart's Doily Lace Punch and embossed the rest with the Victoria EF.  Across the bottom I added two pieces of this cool ric rak that I found at Bee Crafty in Maryborough - I have no idea what it is called, but it also comes in blue.  I then took the Lattice Pendant Die Set (Spellbinders) and cut out some pieces using the smaller square die and attached them en point across the top.  I thought it looked a bit bland, so I added some Martha Stewart Royal Butterflies (cut with white and sponged with Pretty in Pink) embellished with Kaisercraft Rose Pearls.  The flower has been made using the Poinsettia dies by Spellbinders, cut out in Pink Pirouette.  To add a bit of definition I sponged the centres with Pretty in Pink ink and then popped each flower up on foam tape.  I then added some Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to the centre of the flower.  The sentiment is from Warmest Regards and has been stamped in Pretty in Pink ink and then I cut the panel into a tag shape.

Stamps - Warmest Regards (SU)
Paper - Pink Pirouette, White
Ink - Pretty in Pink
Accessories - Nested Poinsettias (Spellbinders), Lattice Pendant die set (Spellbinders), Doily Lace Border Punch and Royal Butterfly Punch (Martha Stewart), Rose and Snow Pearls (Kaisercraft), Pink Ric Rak, Victoria EF, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

Goodbye Kindy Year...

I can't believe how crazy things have been over the last few days!  Not only have I done very little Christmas shopping - this is the last week of school before the Summer/Christmas School Holidays!!!  YIKES!!!  Is anyone else as disorganised as I am this year???
Today is a bittersweet day for me - it marks the very last day of my middle child's Kindy year!  (In Australia Kindy is 2 stages before grade 1.)  I have to admit I'm feeling a little teary today, my little man is growing up!  I have made a Journal and card set for his teacher as a thank you gift.  These are her favourite colours and she loved them when we presented them this morning!

I used Kaisercraft's new Lilac Avenue PP (both the full sized sheets as well as the mini deck size).  I've matched it with Old Olive and So Saffron cardstock, scallop edge punch for borders and the Label 4 dies to frame the name (journal) and sentiment circle (card).  The sentiment is from JustRite's new release Just A Note set and stamped in Old Olive ink.  I embellished with some green satin ribbon and some Kaisercraft Lemon Pearls.

Stamps - Just A Note (JustRite), Headline Alphabet (ret. SU)
Paper - Old Olive, So Saffron, White, Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue DSP
Ink - Old Olive
Accessories - Label 4 Nestabilties, Large Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Scallop edge punch, green satin ribbon, foam tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

JustRite Gift Hop!!!

Welcome to the JustRite Gift Hop!!!  Can you believe December is here already???  Not only is Christmas coming up fast, but it is also the end of the school year here in Australia!!!  Like many other Mums, I am busy making end of year teacher gifts - this one in particular will be going to my son's Speech Therapist.  I love making notebooks and larger journals as gifts - it's just so practical for teachers!!  They are quick and easy and you can make matching cards!!!  :)

I've used Basic Grey Lemonade paper to cover the front of the book and then added a layer of Rose Red topped with Very Vanilla embossed with Victoria EF.  Through the middle I've added some Satin Ribbon (thanks to Stacy aka Twinshappy!) and popped on top of that is the monogram.  For the Monogram I've used the new Deluxe Monogram Kit - 2" Round Set, stamped in Rose Red and cut with Large Circle Nestabilities.  To finish I added some Kaisercraft Latte Pearls to the corners.

I followed the same idea with the card using a Very Vanilla base.  This time I offset the sentiment circle (which uses the new Just A Note set for the centre and  Deluxe Monogram Kit for the border) and instead of pearls, added a large satin bow to the corner!!

There are so many beautiful projects on the hop, so keep hopping and be inspired!!!!  :)

Day 5 and WSC105!!!!

It's the final day of my Guest Blogging over at JustRite Stampers today - it has been such a fun ride and I want to say a HUGE thank you for all the comments that have been left, not only here on my blog, but all of the ones on the JustRite Blog as well!!!  I read and appreciated every single one of them!!!  :)  As you can see, I made a trio of cards using several of the brand new sets that are available NOW over at JustRite Stampers!!!  :)  For more details on my card set, visit the JustRite Stampers Blog!!

I've also made a card today that was inspired by Beate's Week-end Sketch Challenge!  I thought this was perfect to once again use the new Deluxe Round Monogram Kit that is available from JustRite Stampers NOW!!  I started with a base of Not Quite Navy and layered with Very Vanilla and more NQN.  The four panels on the front are from SU's Bella Bleu DSP.  The main panel has been stamped in NQN for the Border and Versamark (embossed with Gold Detail EP) for the "E".  Once the border had been stamped, I cut it out with Label 9 Nestabilities (LOVE this shape!!) and embossed it.  Then I carefully drew around the embossed edge with a gold pen to give a bit of definition and popped the "E" up in the middle.  The whole panel was then popped up on foam tape and I added some Kaisercraft Chino Pearls to the bottom corner.

All the new November Releases are available right now on the JustRite Stampers Website and as an added bonus all the Christmas Stamp Sets are 20% OFF!!!  Don't forget that we are celebrating the November Release on Tuesday November 17th with the JustRite Design Team Blog Hop so pop on by and be inspired!!!

Featured Stamper - Miss Boo!!!

Today's card is in honour of Jen aka Miss Boo who is the Featured Stamper of the week!!!  Congrats Jen!!!  For those of you who don't know, Jen is the Queen of CAS and is the Hostess of the CAS challenge at SCS.  I tried to be CAS, really I did, but I just couldn't help myself!!!

I chose Jen's Glittered Pumpkin Bouquet to case.  I changed the image and colours, added embossing, popped the image and added a sentiment panel.

I started with a base of pink bazzill and layered with white and more pink bazzill embossed with Swiss Dots.  On top of that is white cut with the Label 8 Nestabilities.  The Gerbera Daisies were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, coloured with markers and a blender pen, cut out and popped up.  I finished off by adding a ribbon tag with the sentiment.

Stamps - Gerbera Daisies (Flourishes), Warmest Regards (SU)
Paper - Pink Bazzill, White

Male 21st Birthday

I had an order for a Masculine 21st Birthday card - and only 24hrs notice.  To be honest, Man Cards are not my thing - I like my pretties too much!  With no other details, I played it safe and went with Chocolate and Vanilla.  I started with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch, which I think I deviated a bit too much so I don't know if I should enter it or not.  Maybe I'll try again!!  :)

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Chocolate Chip (pierced around the border) and then two pieces of Kaisercraft's Cafe Culture DP.  The main panel is VV cut with the Label 9 Nestabilites and layered with Chocolate chip (Small Circle Nestabilities) and VV (Large Circle Nestabilities and embossed with Swiss Dots EF).  The numbers are from SU's retired Headline Numbers set - a very handy large size - that I stamped in Chocolate Chip.  Originally the Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip on VV and cut with the Petite Oval Nestabilities and sponged with Close to Cocoa.  To finish I added some Topaz Oregon Raindrops (thanks to Michelle for those!) to the right corners.

Stamps - Headline Numbers, Birthday Whimsy (SU)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Cafe Culture DSP
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Label 9, Small Circle and Large Circle, Petite Oval Nestabilities, Swiss Dots EF, Topaz Oregon Raindrops, Pop Dots.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for visiting!!!

Quick Blue Birthday

I am soooooo tired!!! It has been CRAZY this week with the kids - every single day I've been running all over the place with them going to one thing or another. Today after school I lay down on the floor with them while they watched cartoons (my littlest was sleeping in her cot) and I actually feel asleep!!! This is unheard of unless I'm sick! I have so many cards to make and complete but I can barely keep my eyes open, so I'm posting a card I actually made a couple of weeks ago.

I started with a base of blue bazzill and layered with green bazzill and some Lily Kate DSP. Around this I tied some green satin ribbon and stamped the sentiment from SU's Elegant Cheer set in black. The image is from Our Daily Bread Designs 'Happy Birthday' set, stamped in black stazon and coloured with markers and a blender pen and cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted on a piece of blue cut with the Large Octagon Nestabilities. Finished off by adding some Kaisercraft Denim pearls to the top corner. A nice quick, easy card!! :)

Stamps - Happy Birthday (ODBD), Elegant Cheer (SU)
Paper - Blue, Green, White Bazzill, Lily Kate DSP
Ink - Jet Black Stazon
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Large Circle Nestabilities, Large Octagon Nestabilities, Kaisercraft Denim Pearls, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

MTSC42 Thinking of Beaches

Today I decided to play along with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge. The sketch is horizontal, but I actually liked Mercy's example where is was flipped vertical (and I really wanted to use these new palm trees!!! :) ). I was also STOKED to see my friend Silke is the October Muse for this challenge!! CONGRATULATIONS SILKE!!!! :)

I started with a base of Very Vanilla, layered with Not Quite Navy and some Bella Bleu DSP. The circular panel is more Bella Bleu DSP cut with Large Circle Nesties and matted with NQN Scallop Circle Nesties. Across the bottom of the circle I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black using SU's retired Warmest Regards. The main panel has been stamped using Flourishes Beach Life set in Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla card. First I stamped the trees and then made a mask and then stamped the beach stamp. It was coloured using markers and a blender pen, cut out using the Curved Mega Rectangle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape. Finally I finished with some large chocolate brads along the top and some natural twine wrapped around the circle overlapping the beach scene.

Stamps - Beach Life (Flourishes), Warmest Regards (Ret. SU)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Bella Bleu DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Natural Twine, Large Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilties, Curved Mega Rectangle Nestabilities, Large Chocolate Brads.

WCMD Verve Challenge!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!!! Although it is now Sunday for those of us in Australia, we can still enjoy the cardmaking fun with our cardmaking sisters on SCS!!!

Today Verve is sponsoring a challenge hosted by none other than my friend Michelle!!! She has challenged us to make a card using the colours of a flag of the world. I chose IRELAND which is Green, White and Orange! I would love to see Ireland someday - I believe it is such a beautiful part of the world - it's just SO FAR from me!! One of my dearest friends is an Amercian who is currently living in Ireland so this is a little in honour of her. I'd also like to mention Jessie who regularly visits and comments on my blog who is a native of Ireland. :)

Not only have I used the Green, White and Orange of the Irish flag, I have also incorporated the flag as the BG! I started with a base of Old Olive and layered with White and more Old Olive. Then I took a piece of green Bali Breeze DSP, White card embossed using the new Damask Frame Combo set by Provocraft and a Orange piece of Bali Breeze DSP to create my flag background. My centerpiece has been stamped using the 2 3/8" JustRite Center and Font Set and the Times New Roman Upper Case Font (needed an extra D and A) to create the sentiment (I don't know - you just can't find a stamp that says Happy World Cardmaking Day!!!) and stamped it in Tuxedo Memento Black and cut it out with Small Circle Nestabilities. I matted it with some Old Olive cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and mounted on Pumpkin Pie cut with Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities. The flower is from SU's Pretty Amazing Stamp Set, stamped twice in Orange and once in Marigold and triple layered it with pop dots. I then added some Martha Stewart Branch punches to each side of the flower and attached some 1" White Satin Ribbon underneath the panel. I finished off by adding a large Kaisercraft Snow Pearl to the centre of the flower and a couple to the top and bottom corner of the card.

Stamps - 2 3/8" Center and Font Set (JustRite), Pretty Amazing (SU)
Paper - Old Olive, White, Pumpkin Pie, Bali Breeze DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Orange Versacolor, Marigold Versacolor
Accessories - Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, 1" White Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Damask Frame Combo Set (Provocraft), Pop Dots.

That's all for now - a huge Happy Cardmaking Day to you all!!!! :)

Colour My World....

Hello Everyone!! Today I have made a card that is a little different for me, I challenged myself to use colours outside my comfort zone - choosing reds, mustard and yellow. Not at all my normal colours!!!

I started with a base of More Mustard and layered with white and some red bazzill. Across the bottom I added some Haiku DSP. The sentiment is from SU's Elegant Cheer set, stamped in Ruby Red and cut out with Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio 2 Set and attached with some wide red grosgrain ribbon. The image is from ODBD's Happy Birthday stamp set and stamped in Jet Black Stazon on white. I just love this image!! I then coloured it with markers and a blender pen and cut it out using Large Circle Nestabilities, matting with More Mustard Large Scallop Circle Nestabiltities and popping up on foam tape. I finished off by adding some Kaisercraft Latte pearls to the top corners of the card and each corner of the sentiment panel.

Stamps - Happy Birthday (ODBD), Elegant Cheer (SU)
Paper - More Mustard, White, Red Bazzill, Haiku DSP
Ink - Jet Black Stazon, Ruby Red
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Large Circle and Large Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Ribbon Tag Trio 2 Spellbinders, Red Grosgrain ribbon, Kaisercraft Latte Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Fan Fold Asian

If you stopped by the JustRite Font Hop last week, you would have seen that I made a 50th Birthday card for Kay. Well, I also had someone else ask for a card for the same lady and this is what I came up with. I decided to use the Fan Fold Flower Technique to also give this card an Asian feel. I am still away as you are reading this, but should be back in a couple of days! :)

I started with a base of red bazzill and layered with white and some Ginger Blossom DSP. The sentiment panel is more red, layered with white and stamped the personal greeting in Jet Black Stazon using the Times New Roman Font by JustRite. I also stamped the flower images from Artfully Asian in River Rock and coloured lightly with markers and a blender pen. I followed the tutorial to make the flower, using paper from Ginger Blossom and stamping the '50' using the same Times New Roman Font and the border from Tiny Words Set. I finished off with some black satin ribbon and some black pearls.

Stamps - Times New Roman Font (JustRite), Tiny Words Set (JustRite), Artfully Asian (SU)

Paper - Red, White, Ginger Blossom DSP

Ink - Jet Black Stazon

Accessories - Markers, blender pen, scallop punch, scallop circle nestabilities, black satin ribbon, Kaisercraft black pearls.

That's all for today, thank for visiting!!! :)
