Good Thinking!!

With on-trend typography designed by Marcella Hawley, Good Thinking: Renewal will end your search for "just the right" rejuvenating words! This all-sentiment set measures 4" by 6" and is loaded with 16 images. Take a deep breath in, exhale out and stamp up some serenity. Now doesn't that just feel better?

I've been playing with my Silhouette Cameo to create this card and combined a couple of files and modified a bit to create a tent card!  I've used the 3D Stand Up Card: Strawberry for the main part of the card, (although I added an extra red layer) and the 3D Poppy for the flower to use instead of the strawberry.....because I thought the poppy would be appropriate!!  ;-)  Once I constructed all this, I stamped the sentiment from Power Poppy's Good Thinking: Renewal set on the inside.  :)

This is the view from the side.....

Today the Bloom Brigade is stamping out some serenity and they'd love to share a bit with you!

Azaleas

Sweeping and free, this set simply named Azalea is begging to be colored with reckless abandon. It could inspire an outrageous upsurge in your use of pink markers, colored pencils, and paint! Use the lush blooms of these images to let a friend know how much she is missed, or to say thanks to another who is just plain amazing! This 4" by 6" set was illustrated by hand with a whole lotta love by Marcella Hawley.

If you love flowers like I do, then you will *LOVE* this new Azalea set!!  Isn't it a beauty!!  :)  I've used a white base cut with Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles for my base, then airbrushed a little R56 Copic while still in the die to add a little contrast.  Top with some pretty Maja Designs DP, also cut with Resplendent Rectangles.  Around these layers I've added white lace and deep pink ribbon.  I've stamped the beautiful vase of azaleas from Azalea in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV52, RV55, RV66, G40, G43, G46, E21, C1, C3, B0000), then cut with Oval Nestabilities.  I've framed the image with deep pink cut with Opulent Ovals and then popped it all up on foam tape.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment, also from Azalea and cut it out with Circle Nestabilities, coloured the 'I' with Copics and popped it up as well!  :)

Stamps - Azalea (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Rose Red, Maja Designs DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, Oval and Circle Nestabiltiies, Opulent Ovals, White Lace, Pink Ribbon, X-press It Foam Tape.

Doesn't that flower just make you swoon? Don't wait to exhale, breathe in the beauty and hop on over to see the rest of the Bloom Brigade!

Springtime Love

Our first Power Poppy set, hot off the presses, may have you hearing the alluring tones of a French accordion and whispering Ooh La La. Springtime Love  is in the air and this set embodies romance -- with passionate petals and love-laced sentiments. Illustrated by Marcella Hawley as she went in for the kiss, this beauty of a set measures 4" by 6".

As soon as I saw this DIVINE image, I knew that it was the first one I was going to create with!  Such a gorgeous bouquet of flowers just begging to be made into a card!!  I started with a base of Blushing Bride and layered with soft green bazzill and then a layer of white and a piece of MME Lost and Found Heirloom DP.    Across this I've added another piece of white punched with Deco Fan border punch and topped with more Heirloom DP.  Around this I've attached a piece of pink ribbon.  I've stamped the large bouquet from Springtime Love in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics!  Then I was thrilled to find that it can be perfectly cut out with Spellbinders Small Circle Nestabilities!  YAY!!  I've matted this with a piece of soft green card cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted again with white cut with Spellbinders Stately Circles.  I've popped this up on X-press It Foam Tape to add a little dimension.  Next I've stamped this sweet sentiment, also from Springtime Love and made it into a notched tag and then finished with a couple of white pearls.

Stamps - Springtime Love (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blushing Bride, Green Bazzill, White, MME Lost and Found Heirloom DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Small and Large Circle Nestabilities and Stately Circles, Martha Stewart Deco Fan Border Punch, Pink Ribbon, White Pearls, X-press It Foam Tape, Scissors.

Now that you've been swept away with that free-feeling Springtime Love, why not traipse around to take in some more? The Bloom Brigade has plenty to share!

Insight to a Process

Hello Everyone!!  Have you been enjoying our Power Poppy introductions so far??  Wasn't it fun to see all the girls photos yesterday and their takes on the questions we were given?!  Such an amazing (and talented) bunch of girls!

Today we are starting a new trend!  How often have you seen a new stamp set released and wondered.....what flower is that?  Or.....I wonder why they choose THAT theme?  What was the inspiration for that set???  Part of the Power Poppy motto is to inspire not just in papercraft but also into other parts of your life!  Today on the Power Poppy Blog, pop over and let Marcy open her sketch book and tell you a little about the inspirations that brought this release to life!!

You'll also find a list on the blog of the Bloom Brigade where, if you wish, you can hop a long and see some tiny snippets of what the girls have been working on!  Tomorrow you'll be able to see all the girls really BLOOM with cards galore just waiting to inspire you!!

Meet the Bloom Brigade

With a little bit of the story of Power Poppy unveiled yesterday, today we get to share some of the "faces" that will help bring Power Poppy to full bloom! We affectionately call this fabulous and fierce team "The Bloom Brigade" because as you'll soon see - each one has a wild an beautiful facet that they bring with them to this very creative team! Want to learn a little more about this wildly talented force of artistic talent? Marcella asked each of us a question and many of them made us say... "Hmmmm...." Just click HERE to see for yourself!

So what did I get???
Q: Words I live by......
A: You can only do what you can do.  In other words, do your best but you can’t do anything about things outside of your control and you can’t be super woman either!  For so long I felt that I had to do it all, work, kids, craft, family, church and had trouble saying ‘no’ to people because I didn’t want to feel like I was letting people down.  But there comes a time when you realise that you are burning yourself out and you have to take a look at what is a priority.  These days I work 4 to 5 days a week, have three kids in primary school (and they play sport, have homework, assignments etc...) and also do my crafty stuff as my ‘escape’ time.  Sometimes you have to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the little things, sing, laugh more and worry less.  I do what I can, try not to feel bad when I say no because I just can’t squeeze one more thing into my schedule and try to be a good Mum, wife, daughter and friend.

These wonderfully dynamic women all have different "sides" to their lives! See what makes their creativity click! Learn a little more as you hop on over and see.....

Wonderful Pansies!

Hello Everyone!!  Today I've been playing with this sweet basket of pansies from JustRite Papercraft!  Isn't it just darling!  :)  I've even used the matching EXACT cut SVG file so it pops off the page!

I've used a base of blue card and layered with vanilla.  Then I've taken another layer of vanilla and stamped this beautifully detailed Floral Lace Vintage Tags cling background stamp in Memento Peanut Brittle.  I've then added a piece of cream lace and blue ribbon down one side.  Next I've stamped the middle tag frame again in Memento Desert Sand and cut it out with the matching Vintage Tags Dies and popped it up on foam tape.  Next I used my Silhouette Cameo and the SVG Pansies in Spring digital download to cut the basket shape.  I've inked up the Pansies in Spring stamp, left it lying on the acrylic block and then placed the die cut over the top pressing firmly to transfer the ink.  I've then coloured it with Copics (B60, B63, B66, G40, G43, G46, E21, E23, E25, E27).  I've stamped the sentiment, made it into a notched tag and then glued the basket over the top.

Stamps - Pansies in Spring (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Blue, Vanilla
Ink- Memento Peanut Brittle, Rich Cocoa, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, SVG Pansies in Spring, JustRite Vintage Tags Dies, Ivory Lace, Blue Ribbon, Foam Tape.

That's all from me for now, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Pansies in Spring

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to Day Four of the JustRite Papercraft March Release!  Today it's another gorgeous, elegant set called Pansies in Spring!

Of course this set, like all our sets this month, comes with a matching Pansies in Spring Digital SVG file.  It comes with an Exact and Offset file depending on whether you want a close cut or a white edge around your image.
http://justritepapercraft.com/collections/digital-cut-file-downloads/products/svg-pansies-in-spring-digital-cut-file-download

I've created my white card base using Romantic Rectangles and then layered with purple bazzill and more white cut with Spellbinders Fancy Lattice.  Around this I've attached white and purple ribbons.  I've cut a piece of white with JustRite's Vintage Labels Seven die, airbrushed the middle (while still in the die) with Copic V22.  I've stamped the sentiment from Pansies in Spring in Memento Tuxedo Black in the top corner.  I've used the Pansies in Spring SVG Cut File and my Silhouette (and Designer Edition Software) to cut the shape and then stamped the matching image onto it in Tuxedo Black.  I've then coloured it with Copics (V12, V15, V17, Y11, Y17, G21, G24, G28) and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon and a few pearls at the bottom of the sentiment.

Stamps - Pansies in Spring (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, White, Purple Bazzill
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Dies, JustRite Pansies In Spring SVG File, Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles, Fancy Lattice, White and Purple Ribbons, Bow Easy, White Pearls, Foam Tape, Glue.

Don't miss the absolutely gorgeous creations the team have for you today!

Thinking of Magnolias

Hello Everyone!  Welcome to Day Three of the JustRite Papercraft March Release!  Today's set is a beautiful, elegant set called Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven.

Of course, like our other sets this month, it comes with a matching Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven Digital Cut File SVG!  This cut file is only .50c as it is only the Magnolia flower, the frame is designed to match the Vintage Labels Seven dies manufactured by Spellbinders.  This set comes with an EXACT and OFFSET file.  I've used the exact file today - so it looks like it's been fussy cut very closely.  The Offset file will leave a white edge around your image.
NOTE: the best way to use the EXACT setting when stamping, is to put the stamp on your clear block, ink it up and then place the paper cut out on the top of the stamp and press the back all over.  It is easier to line it up this way rather than the traditional stamping method - trust me!
http://justritepapercraft.com/collections/digital-cut-file-downloads/products/svg-magnolia-vintage-labels-seven

Unlike the last two days where bright colours have dominated, today I've used a soft, subtle colour palette to suit the occasion.  I've used a base of Very Vanilla and layered with soft green bazzill and more vanilla cut with Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight die.  Next I have more soft green, cut with Opulent Ovals.  I've stamped the frame from Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven in Memento Bamboo Leaves and the lightly coloured it with Copic G40.  I've used the Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven Digital Cut File to cut a piece of X-press It Blending Card (I've used the Textured Cardstock setting to cut it) and then used the technique above to stamp the magnolia image onto the cut out.  I've coloured it with Copics (G40, G82, G85, RV000, RV52, RV55, E51, E23) and then popped it up on Foam Tape.  I've stamped the sentiment in Black Stazon onto Vellum and attached it as shown.

I've also decorated the inside by stamping the magnolia in Memento Desert Sand and another of the sentiments in Tuxedo Black.

Stamps - Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Green Bazzill, Vellum
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Bamboo Leaves, Desert Sand, Stazon Black
Accessories - Copics, Magnolia Vintage Labels Seven SVG (JustRite), JustRite Vintage Labels Seven Dies, Spellbinders As Filigree Delight, Opulent Ovals; X-press It Foam Tape, Glue.

The team have some gorgeous projects to show you today, why not pop by and leave a little love!

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp.  :)

Owl Be Yours

Hello Everyone!  It's Day Two of the JustRite Papercraft March Release and the cuteness continues!!!  Yep, it's another super fun set and this one is all about OWLS.  Designed by Samantha Walker this one called Owl Be There!
http://justritepapercraft.com/products/owl-be-there

Like all our stamp sets this month, it comes with it's very own Digital Cut File!  This SVG file is compatible with many digital cutting machines such as the Silhouette.  The Silhouette does need the Designer Edition Software to open SVG files.  Check your machine's compatibility!  These files are only .99c!

I couldn't help but reach for the bright, happy colours again for this set!  I've used a base of pink and layered with white and some MME My Girl DP.  Across this I've added a piece of white embossed with Spellbinders MBossibilities Twisted Hearts and matted with pink and I've also added a couple of layers of punched scallop borders across the bottom in Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie.  I've used the Owl Be There Digital Cut SVG File and my Silhouette Cameo (and Designer Edition Software) to cut a tree trunk and owl shape (the offset version of the SVG file).  The cardstock I've used is the X-press It Blending Card on a Textured Cardstock setting.  It's very easy to use the Owl Be There clear stamps to line up and stamp the images on the offset cuts.  I've used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp the images and then coloured with Copics.  I've then die cut a heart using Spellbinders Classic Hearts (and lightly airbrushed the middle with RV52) and 'hung' it over the branch with some pink baker's twine.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment in black and created an notched tag and popped it up on foam tape.

Stamps - Owl Be There (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink, White, MME My Girl DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Owl Be There SVG (JustRite), Silhouette Cameo, Spellbinders Classic Heart die, Bakers Twine, Scallop Punch, X-press It Foam Tape.

Want to see some awesome birdie creations and check out our other release today (Cascading Ferns), check out what the team have for you today!

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!!  :)

Stitched Flower Fun!

Hello Everyone!!  Can you believe it's March already??  Where have the last two months gone??  Well, that just means it's time for another JustRite Papercraft release and have we got some fabulous ones for you!!  Today we are showcasing this super cute and fun set called Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags, just imagine the possibilities!!  :)
http://justritepapercraft.com/products/stitched-flowers-vintage-tags

Starting this month, JustRite are also releasing SVG files to use with your electronic cutting machines such as your Silhouette!  If you are using a Silhouette, you will need the Designer Edition Software to open SVG files.  I'm not familiar with other types of machines and how the SVG files will work with them.  You may see some of the team have a very close cut on their stamped images, and some may have a white edge - the Digital Cut SVG Files come with an EXACT and OFFSET cut - the choice is yours!!  You can find the Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags SVG file in the Digital Cut File Download section of the JustRite Papercraft Store!
http://justritepapercraft.com/collections/digital-cut-file-downloads/products/svg-stitched-flowers-vintage-tags-digital-cut-download

Of course, this set is just begging for bright happy colours, so that's what I've used!  I've used a base of Pool Party and layered with pink (I think it might be some old Pixie Pink?) and then added some MME My Girl DP.  Across this I've added another piece of My Girl DP and matted with pink.  The large middle panel is cut using Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles in Pool Party and more My Girl DP.  For the flower and buttons you can use the new Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags SVG cut file or cut by hand.  I've stamped my flowers and buttons from Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics.  To finish I've stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black and created into a notched tag.

Stamps - Stitched Flowers Vintage Tags (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pool Party, Pink, MME My Girl DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, X-press It Foam Tape, Glue.

Don't miss all the fabulous creations the girls have for you today and leave them a little love!!
