Just A Phone Call Away!

Hello Everyone!!  What a wild ride the last few weeks have been!  I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas!!  Here in Australia, December is also the end of the school year, so combined with Christmas preparations, it was a crazy, crazy time at my house and then we had some blissful down time as we went away and spent time with family.

I don't know about you, but the years seem to be going faster and faster (I'm putting this down to three kids in primary school), sometimes I've stopped and realised it's been WEEKS since I've spoken to some of my friends and have to touch base to assure them that I'm still alive!  :)  Which brings me to the theme of today's card.....this is me trying to remind myself to not get so caught up in the craziness and have more fun with friends in 2014!

I've used a JustRite set called Call Me Soon - a super fun clear set (35 stamps!) with awesome mix and match possibilites!
http://justritepapercraft.com/collections/all-stamps/products/call-me-soon-clear-stamps

I started with a base of Blushing Bride card and layered with white, kraft and some MME Lavender DP.  Next I've taken another piece of Blushing Bride and die cut the edge with Spellbinders A2 Scallop Borders One and layered with more Lavender DP.  I've stamped the phones and sentiment from Call Me Soon in Memento Tuxedo Black and then coloured the phones with Copics (E50, E51, E53, RV91, RV93, RV95, C1).  I've cut them out with Spellbinder Standard Circles Small Nestabilities and attached as shown.

Stamps - Call Me Soon (JustRite)
Paper - Blushing Bride, White, Kraft, X-press It Blending Card, MME Lavender DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Spellbinders A2 Scallop Borders One, Standard Circles Small.

As this year comes to a close, I wish you all a very Happy New Year and may 2014 bless you with health, fun, friendship and happiness!

Festive Bottle Tag

Hello Everyone!  Today on the Copic Oz Blog I have a tutorial on how I've created this Bottle Tag using Flourishes' Dear Santa stamp set.  At this time of year when there are Christmas parties, drinks, dinners and gathering galore, why not add a fun and festive bottle tag to your next Hostess gift!  I'm sure they will be thrilled with that personal touch and it's bound to be a conversation starter!

I hope you'll pop by the Copic Oz Blog for details on measurements and Copic colours used on the Santa Hat image.  :)

Just A Note

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 4 of the JustRite Papercraft December Release!  I hope you've been enjoying all the eye candy so far!  Today we are showcasing the Just A Note Vintage Sentiment Tags Clear Set AND a fabby new die called Vintage Sentiment Tag Dies!!  I was so excited about this die - it's a great length to fit all those longer sentiments inside, or in today's case, a perfect match for the frame from Just A Note.

I've used a base of red and cut the bottom with Spellbinders' A2 Bracket Borders One, the added layers of Chocolate Chip and Kraft stamped with Damask Wallpaper Background in Rhubarb Stalk and also cut these with the same die set.  I've stamped the frame from Just a Note in Rhubarb Stalk and then the sentiment and pens in Rich Cocoa.  I've added a little colour to the pens with Y21 and Y26 Copic and then cut them out and attached as shown.  The frame has been cut with Vintage Sentiment Tag Die and popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added a couple of gold rhinestones to the corner.

Thank You Grand Sentiments

Hello Everyone!!  Welcome to Day 3 of the JustRite Papercraft December Release!!  Today we are showcasing a new cling rubber set called Grand Thank You Sentiments!  Need to make a thank you card?  Well this set is perfect for you!  :)  Designed using larger fonts that are perfect for the focal panel of your card, which is fabulous when you need a card in a hurry.....or in my case, have sprained your wrist and can't manage much stamping.  Ever tried stamping with a bad wrist?  Yep, not easy!  :(

I've used a base of white and trimmed the corners with a corner rounder.  The next panel is vanilla stamped using JustRite's Leafy Background stamp in versamark and also trimmed the corners.  Around this I've wrapped a piece of white ribbon.  Next I've used Spellbinders' Majestic Labels 25 to cut a piece of Baja Breeze and a piece of white.  On the white, I've stamped the sentiment from Grand Thank You Sentiments in Memento Teal Zeal and then used the flourish element from JustRite's Celebrate Today Clear Set in Memento Desert Sand.  I've popped the white panel up on X-press It Foam Tape and then finished with a white bow and clear rhinestones in the corners.

The team have some beautiful creations for you today, why not pop by and be inspired!

Time Flies!

Hello Everyone!!  It's Day One of the JustRite Papercraft December Release!  Today the team are showcasing this fabulous new background called Time Flies Cling Background!
I've stamped the Time Flies Cling Background several times, once in Mememto Rhubarb Stalk and once in Rich Cocoa and once I've stamped in Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder.  The sentiment is from Large Elegant Sentiments Clear and also stamped in Rich Cocoa. (My Timely Banners set which is also being showcased today didn't arrive in time, so I was excited to find another set with a sentiment which would be perfect!)  With the gold panel, I've cut out the watch and the coca pieces I've cut out the wings, banner and flourish and then coloured and layered them to give a bit of interest and contrast.   I've then matted the panel with some River Rock card and a red card base and finished with a couple of rhinestones.

The girls have some fabulous inspiration for you today, so why not pop by and leave a little love!  :)

BWT White As Snow!

Hello Everyone!!  It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another Flourishes Beautiful World Tour!!  If you've jetted in from Meredith's Blog, than you've arrived at the right destination!  If you've arrived by chance, why not start back at the Flourishes' Blog as see all the inspiration the team have for you!!  This month, our lovely hostess Meredith has challenged us to a White As Snow challenge!  This is open to interpretation, so I've gone with a mostly white card with a little 'cool' blue for a snowy feel.  Here in Australia, it is now Summer time so definitely no snow in my neck of the woods!  In saying that, even in the middle of winter it never snows here, our climate is just too tropical!  :)

I started by cutting a piece of white with Spellbinders Tapestry die and then matted it with a piece of white lightly airbrushed with Copic B000.  I've wrapped some white crochet lace ribbon and white satin ribbon around these layers.  I've then added a rhinestone flourish for a bit of sparkle!  The sentiment is from Flourishes' Winter Blossoms set and has been cut with Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Window Die Set and then popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a little ribbon and some white flowers and then popped the whole panel up on foam tape over a fold white card base.

Well this is the last stop on today's hop, from here it's back to the Flourishes Blog!  I hope you've enjoyed jetting around the world and been inspired by our wonderful team!

Princess Birthday Hop!

Today is a special day for the Flourishes Family to celebrate our Birthday Girl - Julie Koerber!  And Julie is definitely worth celebrating!  She’s the right hand on so many levels of what’s beautiful about Flourishes, and we’re so grateful for her and blessed to also call this lovely lady friend.

This summer a number of the Flourishes Senior Design Team girls gathered for a weekend in Yellowstone National Park.  It was a fantastic time of fun!  One of the great things some of the girls did was go Whitewater Rafting.  Because there were family members along, Julie graciously said she’d sit in the middle of the raft so the kids could get the most out of the experience.  The raft guide however thought that would be a fun opportunity to tease Julie about her “Princess" status.  She gracefully took it and we love to tease her about it - and so the idea for this Princess Birthday Hop was born!  Julie we love you and your fun, spunky spirit, and also the warmth and grace you live your life with!  Happy Birthday from all of us at Flourishes!

We invite you to hop along today with many of our Flourishes Family to see our pretty Princess and Birthday inspiration, and join in on our wishes for Julie!

Julie, my dear, sweet friend - Happy Birthday!!  May today bring you joy and laughter and the year ahead be filled with fun and adventures!!

I've used Flourishes' Make a Wish stamp set and I've coloured it with Copics using the Flourishes' Creamy Collection, Lenten Rose Collection, Sunflower and Candy Pink Collections.  The image has been cut with Small Circle Nestabilities and matted with pink and vanilla card cut with Captivating Squares Nestabilities.  The sentiment has been stamped in Tuxedo Black and cut with 5x7 Detailed Scallops Nestabilities.  While still in the die, I've added a little colour with Copic E50.  Add plenty of pink, pretty paper and a bit of bling and you have a card fit for a Princess!!  :)

Stamps - Make a Wish (Flourishes)
Paper - Blending Card, Vintage Pink and Mauve Ice Bazzill, Very Vanilla, FabScraps Chic Pink DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Small Circle, Captivating Squares and 5x7 Detailed Scallops Nestabilities, Pink Ribbon, Rhinestone Flourish, X-press It Foam Tape.

Comment along the way and you could be entered to win any Birthday set of your choice from the Flourishes Store!  Winners will be chosen and announced on Saturday November 23rd on the Flourishes Blog.

And don’t forgot to drop by Julie’s place to send her your Happy Birthday wishes too!

Birthday Scoop!

Hello Everyone!  My 6yr old daughter had a birthday party to go to on the week-end.  Her friend was turning 6 and he lives next door.  I had a present and I thought surely I had a boy card in my stash somewhere.......but noooooooo I didn't!  ACK!  So this is a card I whipped up in a hurry.  :)

I've used a base of pumpkin pie and layered with old olive and some kaisercraft Jungle Bug DP.  I've then used more Jungle Bug to create a notched tag.  The bunting is made using JustRite Papercraft's Buntings and Button Die and more Jungle Bug DP.  I've stamped the ice-cream cone from The Scoop Vintage Labels Four clear set in Memento Rich Cocoa twice and coloured them with Copics.  I've fussy cut them and used the top of the second one to make the cone a double scoop!  The 'SIX' was made using Spellbinders Font One - Uppercase and old olive card.  There you go - one card in a hurry!

Stamps - The Scoop Vintage Labels Four (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Kaisercraft Jungle Bug DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa
Accessories - JustRite Buntings and Banners Die, Spellbinders Font One - Uppercase, Copics, Scissors, X-press It Foam Tape

Hello Everyone!  It's the second Monday of the month and that means there is another Copic Tutorial on the Flourishes Blog!  Today I'm showing how I coloured these beautiful dahlias from Flourishes' Dahlias stamp set.  The fabulous thing about dahlias is that they come in a HUGE range of colours, so try colouring them in pinks, purples, reds, yellows etc... so much fun!

You can find the Copic details on the Flourishes Blog HERE!  For the actual card, I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with white cut with Spellbinders A2 Scallop Borders One and topped with Summer Breeze DP also cut with A2 Scallop Borders One.  Next I've added a strip of white topped with more Summer Breeze DP and then added white and orange ribbons.  The main panel is white cut with Flourishes' Perfectly Pierced Classic Window Die and airbrushed it with Y32 Copic while still in the die.  Next I've stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black in the corner and added a rhinestone flourish down one side.  The Dahlias have been stamped with Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (see the Flourishes Blog for Details!) and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a fun bow topped with a button.

Wedding Day

Hello Everyone!!  Today's card is a special one that I made on behalf of my daughter's Prep class (Prep is the school year before Grade One here in Australia) for our wonderful teacher Liz who was married on Friday!  We presented this to her a few days before the wedding in front of the whole class along with a gift - she was so surprised!  :)

This is a big card measuring 5 inches x 7 inches.....but when you have 24 Prep children aged 5 and 6yrs having to write inside, it's still not big enough!!  So one thing I like to do when I lot of people have to sign a card is slip in several sheets of writing paper cut to size and tied with a piece of gold or silver cord.

I've used a base of Very Vanilla and layered with kraft and then more vanilla.  Next I've taken a piece of Soft Sky card cut with Spellbinders Exquisite Labels Eleven - I've used soft blues and greens since this is the colour palette for the Wedding.  Next is another piece of Vanilla cut with Grand Labels Four and layered with blue cut with 5x7 Elegant Labels Four.  Next is another piece of kraft cut with Labels Four topped with vanilla (sponged with Memento Summer Sky ink) cut with Lacey Oval Nestabilities.  Finally I've stamped the bride and groom image from Flourishes' Wedded Bliss stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto vanilla and cut it with Opulent Ovals Nestabilities.  Whew!  Yep, it's a lot of layers!!  :)  I've attached a blue ribbon, added some pretty ivory pleated trim from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store and stamped the sentiment (also from Wedded Bliss) onto vanilla card.  It's been cut out with Spellbinders Labels 33 and sponged with Summer Sky ink.  The top corner is embellished with Prima Flowers and leaves, a couple of die cuts made of vanilla and Spellbinders Botanical Swirls and Accents and finally added a couple of  ivory pearls to the top and bottom corners.

Stamps - Wedded Bliss (Flourishes)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Kraft
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Summer Sky
Accessories - Spellbinders Exquisite Labels 11, Grand Labels 4, 5x7 Elegant Labels 4, Labels 4, Lacey Oval Nestabilities, Opulent Ovals Nestabilities, Labels 33, Botanical Swirls and Accents Shapeabilities, Ivory Pleated Trim, Blue Ribbon, Bow Easy, Prima Flowers and Leaves, Ivory Pearls.

Next I've used Sweet Hearts Clear Stamps and stamped the border in Rhubarb Stalk and the sentiment in Rich Cocoa and cut it out with Spellbinders Lace Heart Dies.  I've then used another die from the same set to cut a piece of kraft to frame the heart.  To embellish, I've added a striped ribbon down one side, flowers, buttons, flourishes cut using Botanical Swirls and Accents Dies and a couple of pearls.

Stamps - Sweet Hearts, Moroccan Lattice Background, Rose Garden Background (JustRite Papercraft)

Cupcake Toppers!

Hello Everyone!!  I recently make some fun Cupcake Toppers for the Copic Oz Blog with step by step pics on how I've coloured the ice-cream cones.  Around this time of year I always seem to be making cupcakes for some sort of party and some fabby toppers just squeal fun times don't you think??

For a quick and basic topper, try gathering these materials....

Or how about creating something more eye-catching by gathering these materials.....

Simply glue the layers together with a good strong glue (I use X-press It Clear Gel Glue) for each topper making sure that the sticks are glued between the layers for stability.  The construction is super easy and your toppers are sure to have your guests talking!

Stamps - Pinwheels and Popsicles (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink, White, Chocolate Chip
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Various Spellbinders Shapes, Toothpick, Popstick, X-press It Clear Gel Glue, Cupcakes!

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp.

Of course, every month there is a chance to win a Flourishes Stamp Set of your choice!!  All you have to do is leave a comment on the designers' blogs before October 31st for your chance to win!  :)

I've chosen.....PINK!!!  :)  I've used a base of pink card, layered with White and some MME DP that I found deep in my stash.  Next I've created a square of DP and matted with more pink card and stamped the sentiment from Sweet Days of Summer in Memento Tuxedo Black and offset it on the card front.  Across this is another piece of pink, border punched and topped with more DP.  Across this is a pink of thin pink ribbon.  The image is also from Sweet Days of Summer and has been stamped in pink ink, cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with pink card cut with Lacey Circle Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape.  To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon and a couple of snowflake pearls to the corner.

Stamps - Sweet Days of Summer (Flourishes)
Paper - Pink, White, MME Lavender DP
Ink - Pink, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Iron Gate Border Punch, Pink Ribbon, Bow Easy, Foam Tape, Pearls.

The next destination for you today is Noami's Blog in CANADA!!

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Bundle of Joy!

Hello Everyone!  I hope you've enjoyed the JustRite Papercraft release week so far!  Today is the last day and we are introducing another gorgeous vintage baby set called Bundle of Joy Vintage Labels Five!  So many fun elements, images and sentiments to play with and out of all the cards I've made this week, I think this one is my favourite!  :)

I've used a base of Very Vanilla, layered with Calypso Coral and two pieces of Graphic 45 DP.  Across the join I've added some ivory lace and a piece of ivory pleated trim from the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.  Next I've added a paper doily and then stamped the pram image from Bundle of Joy Vintage Labels Five in Memento Rich Cocoa onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (E50, E51, E53, R00, R11, R12) and then fussy cut with scissors.  I've taken more Graphic 45 DP and matted with coral card and put in on an angle and then popped the pram image up on foam tape.  Next I've stamped the sentiment from Bundle of Joy in Rich Cocoa and created a notched tag and attached it to the bottom of the panel.  To finish I've added buttons, flowers, ribbon and die cuts to accent.

Stamps - Bundle of Joy Vintage Labels Five (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Graphic 45 DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa

Special Delivery!

Hello Everyone!!  Welcome back to day five of the JustRite Papercraft October release!  Today we are showcasing a gorgeous, vintage inspired baby stamp set called Special Delivery!  This set was inspired by Sharon Johnson, one of the original members of the JustRite DT and now owner of the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store!  We are thrilled to have her joining us on the hop today!
I just adored this stork image and decided to make a baby boy card with it.  I've started with a base of Soft Sky, layered with Very Vanilla and two pieces of  Fab Scraps Baby Bear DP.  Across the join is a piece of Baja Breeze topped with a piece of ivory ribbon.  Next I've created a notched tag and stamped the sentiment from Special Delivery across the bottom and attached to the middle of the card.  The doily has been cut out of vanilla using Spellbinders Delicate Doily Dies.  The stork from Special Delivery has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (BG000, BG10, BG11, BG13, E000, E01, E11, C1, C3, C5, C7, E40, E41, E42, Y21, Y26).  I've fussy cut the stork with my cutterbee scissors and a scalpel - yes, it took a while but I love the result!  I've popped it up on foam tape and added a few pearls to the top corners.
