Crate of Apples

Hello Everyone!  Today over on the Copic Oz Blog, I have a tutorial all about WOOD!  For the details about how to colour this crate, pop on over to Copic Oz.  For all the other details, keep reading below!  :)

I started by stamping the crate of apples from Power Poppy's Farmers Market set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics.  I've then die cut a piece of Sticky Barc, placed the image inside the die cut and then attached it to a piece of red card.  I decided to give the corners a 'wood burned' effect by stamping the apples in Memento Rich Cocoa.  Around the other end, I've attached some May Arts Net and topped it with Ruffled Faux Suede.    I've then stamped the sentiment, also from Farmers Market in Memento Rich Cocoa onto Very Vanilla and die cut it with Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor.  While still in the die, I've lightly airbrushed it with Copic E55 to age it a little.

I've then used some X-press It High Tac Foam Tape to adhere it to the ribbon.  I really like the High Tac Tape because it is stronger and adheres better to surfaces such as ribbons.  :)  You can tell it's High Tac because the writing inside the roll is red!  The standard Foam Tape is written in blue.  :)

I've attached the whole card front to a folded piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.

Stamps - Farmers Market (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Sticky Barc, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Large Oval Nestabilities and A2 Valiant Honor Dies, May Arts Net, Ruffled Faux Suede Ribbon, Copic Airbrush System, X-press It High Tac Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Just Smile

Hello Everyone!  It's Friday, so that means it's time for another Power Poppy Peep of the Week Challenge!!!  This challenge is super easy to play along with - simply use a Power Poppy image - any Power Poppy image!!  Don't have any yet??  It's OK, you can easily download on of their Digi Stamps right now and still play along!!  I was playing with my Copics and coloured this image from Countryside Bouquet Deluxe - isn't it simply sweet??

I started with a base of Kraft and layered with Very Vanilla and a piece of Calypso Coral cut with Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence.  On top of this is a piece of Pion DP cut with Spellbinders Labels 28 and then I've attached a piece of ivory ribbon around all the layers.  I've stamped the image and sentiment from Power Poppy's Countryside Bouquet Deluxe in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (R11, R12, R14, YG61, YG63, YG67, E50, E51, E53, BG0000).  I've cut this out with Small Oval Nestabilities and matted with Kraft cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted again with Calypso Coral cut with A2 Divine Eloquence and then popped it up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've accented with a big bow and a few buttons and twine.

Sympathy

Hello Everyone!  It's the last day of the JustRite August Release and today I have a beautiful Sympathy set to show you!  Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight and Nine, as the name suggests is designed to co-ordinate with the JustRite Vintage Labels Eight and Vintage Labels Nine die sets.  This set is not only designed with sentiments for sympathy cards, but also for Get Well cards and even thinking of you cards - so overall, a really useful set.  I also love the delicate florals in this set, simple, sweet and understated.

I've used a base of Pistachio Pudding and layered with Kraft and some Pion DP.  Around this I've attached ivory and green ribbons.  For the focal panel, I've started by cutting a piece of Very Vanilla with Vintage Labels Eight and airbrushing the centre with Copic G40.  I've then stamped the sentiment from Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight and Nine in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I've then stamped the frame, also from Sympathy, in Memento Bamboo Leaves onto Very Vanilla and very lightly coloured with Copics (G40, B00 and B01) and die cut it with Vintage Labels Eight.  I've then framed this with a piece of Very Vanilla die cut with Small Oval Nestabilities and airbrushed it with G40 Copic to match.  This has been matted with Pistachio Pudding die cut with Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence.  Finally I've matted again with Very Vanilla die cut with the largest of the Vintage Labels Eight dies and popped the whole panel up on X-press It Foam Tape.  To finish I've added a bow to the ribbon and a couple of Kaisercraft Chino Pearls to the corner.

Stamps - Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight (JustRite)

You Are Amazing!

Hello Everyone!  Today is Day 3 of the JustRite Papercraft release and the team are showcasing a clear stamp set called Celebrations Sentiments - full of really, really useful sentiments that can be used for lots of different occasions!  They are also a great size and I can see this will be a 'go to' set for the future!  :)

The other two new products that are joining the JR shelves are dies (and you know that I love dies!) - Vintage Labels Nine - a lovely rectangular shape that will be fabby for sentiments and other things and Vintage Flourish One Die - a gorgeous accent piece!

Today I've also used Ironworks Background which was officially released on Monday.  :)

I've started with a base of Cherry Cobbler and layered with Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla.  The Very Vanilla panel has been stamped with Ironworks Background in Memento Rhubarb Stalk, airbrushed with Copic R30 and then lightly coloured some of the flourish pieces with R30 and R32 and then a touch of E13 to warm it up a little.  The centre of the frame has been airbrushed with E51.  Next I've die cut two pieces of Baked Brown Sugar using Vintage Flourish One Die and attached as shown.  Over this I've cut a piece of Remember Me DP with Vintage Labels Nine and glued to front.  Over this I've attached a piece of ivory ribbon.  I've then used the second smallest of the Vintage Labels Nine dies to die cut a piece of Very Vanilla, lightly airbrushing it with R30 Copic and then stamped the sentiment from Celebrations Sentiments in Memento Rich Cocoa.  I've attached this by placing a piece of brown gingham ribbon through the holes.  I've then added a double bow, topped with a brown button and finished by adding A LOT of Kaisercraft Chino pearls all over it!  :)

Stamps - Celebrations Sentiments, Ironworks Vintage Labels Eight Background (JustRite)
Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Kaisercraft Remember Me DP
Ink - Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Rich Cocoa

Hope and Love

Hello Everyone!  I'm excited because there are new goodies available at JustRite Papercraft for the August Release!!  Today is the first day and we have three gorgeous sets to show you!  I've used two of them, so make sure you pop by the other girls so you don't miss the other one!  The two I have used is the beautiful and uplifting Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine which co-ordinates with the JustRite Vintage Labels Eight and Nine dies.  The other stamp I've used is the gorgeous Cornflower Damask Background - I just love this solid, all over print which I think will be really useful for all sorts of cards and projects!

I've started with a piece of white card folded in half and then die cut with Romantic Rectangles Two going over the fold.  I then used the same die to cut a piece of purple bazzill and glued that to the front (so you don't see those fold lines).  I've then added a layer of Very Vanilla.  The patterned piece is Very Vanilla stamped with Lulu Lavender and Cornflower Damask Background.  I wanted to soften it a little, so I've airbrushed Copic V20 over the top.  Around this I've attached ivory crochet lace and purple satin ribbon.  I had stamped the sentiment onto white before I totally decided on my colours and cut it out with JustRite's Vintage Filigree Layer Dies.  I've airbrushed the sentiment part in Copic E51 and the outer piece with V22.  The sentiment has been popped up on foam tape.  I've used the Matching SVG Hope and Love Digital Cut File to die cut the shape and then I've stamped the rose from Hope and Love in Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copic Markers (V20, V22, V25, V28, V99, V12, G40, G43, G46, E21).  I've popped the rose up on foam tape and finished by adding a bow and a few pearls.

Stamps - Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine, Cornflower Damask Background (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Purple Bazzill, Very Vanilla
Ink - Memento Lulu Lavender, Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Copic Airbrush System, JustRite Vintage Filigree Dies, JustRite SVG Digital Cut File, Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two, Ivory Crochet Lace, Purple Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Latte Pearls, X-press It Foam Tape.

August Power Poppy Hop!

Hello Everyone!!!  It's the first of the month and that means that the Power Poppy August Release is available RIGHT NOW in the store!!!  SQUEE!!!!  If you have a moment before you run to purchase your favourite set, I have a one more card to show you for today's hop.

Today I've used the new Farmer's Market set - I just couldn't help but chuckle when I saw the 'Heads Up' sentiment and the heads of cauliflower!!  LOL!  Lately I've been seeing not just the traditional white cauliflower, but also the golden yellow and purple varieties.  Although the purple variety can often be dark shades of purple, they ones I've seen in my area are much lighter so I've made my cauliflower that shade for today's card!

I've used a base of Old Olive and layered with white and some Fine and Sunny DP.  Where the two pieces of DP meet, I've attached some light purple grosgrain ribbon.  I've used another piece of DP to create a notched tag.  Then I've used the 'Heads Up' sentiment to create another notched tag and embellished with chocolate pearls.  I've stamped the cauliflower and sentiment (on the blackboard) from Farmers Market in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (G82, G85, E21, E23, E25, YG11, YG13, YG17, G28, V20, V22, V25, Y32).  I've cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and matted with Old Olive cut with Spellbinders Captivating Squares and attached it as shown.

Stamps - Farmers Market (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, White, Kaisercraft Fine and Sunny DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Spellbinders Circle and Captivating Squares Dies, Purple Grosgrain Ribbon, Chocolate Pearls.

The Bloom Brigade have some gorgeous and inspiring cards for you today, so pop by and leave a little love!
