I know I've been quiet lately, but that's just because there is so much going on behind the scenes - including today's card which is to showcase the brand new CLEAR set by JustRite Stampers called Botanical Butterflies!!!  Now seriously, who doesn't love butterflies???  (Looking at you Danni!!)  Of course this is PERFECT for this week's Flutterby By Wednesday Challenge, not to mention perfect for this week's CopicOz Challenge for Springtime!  I sighed with joy when I saw this beautiful set because I loooooooove butterflies and these are divine!!!
I've created my card using a base of pink bazzill, old olive and white, topped with three panels of Papermania Rose Garden DP.  Across the bottom panel I've added a strip of pink punched with Deco Fan punch and topped with ivory satin ribbon, bow and the large single butterfly from Botanical Butterflies.  The butterfly has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV32, RV34, E53).  My feature panel is pink bazzill cut with Labels 22.  I've used old olive cut with Lacey Circles and the floral panel also from Botanical Butterflies which has been coloured with Copics (RV000, RV32, RV32, G20, G21, G24, E50, E51) and popped it all up on foam tape.  I've finished with three pink pearls.

You don't want to miss the other beautiful creations made by the team today!!

C4C3 Butterflies for You

Today's card has been made for this week's Crazy 4 Challenges sketch challenge. I also kind of qualifies for Danni's Flutterby Wednesday challenge to use a butterfly or fairy and some sparkle. Now I know it doesn't look like it in the photo, but there is sparkle on that butterfly! :) This was actually a nice, quick card to make (after I took a little detour! *rolls eyes*).

I started with a base of Really Rust and layered with black and some yummy Graphic45 DSP - Baby 2 Bride Collection. Then the vertical strip is more black layered with more Graphic45, this time from the Botanicabella collection. I then stamped a different image, coloured it in and then realised that it was WAY too big for the panel I wanted to use and then started all over again! LOL! Then I stamped this flower image from SU's Friends 24-7 set and coloured it with markers (pumpkin pie and old olive). I cut it out using the Mega Curved Rectangles die set and then lightly sponged the edges while still in the die in So Saffron. The sentiment is from SU's Best Yet set and stamped in Jet Black Stazon. I then added a pumpkin pie Royal Butterfly punch that has been well sprayed with Wheatfields Glimmermist and finished off by adding some Kaisercraft Black Pearls to the body and under the sentiment and popped the entire white panel up on foam tape.

Stamps - Friends 24-7, Best Yet (both SU)
Paper - Really Rust, Black, Graphic45, White
Ink - Jet Black Stazon
Accessories - Martha Stewart Royal Butterfly Punch, Kaisercraft Black Pearls, Mega Curved Rectangle Nestabilities, foam tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Super Fast Flutterby Birthday!!

This card was super fast!!! Very CAS style for me, but I wanted to join in Danni's birthday month Flutterby challenges and this week it was to make a card with a butterfly or fairy and use pink! I am sooooooo late as the next one is about to get posted!!! So, I super fast card is what a made and I also got to use my brand new lattice arch punch!!! WOOHOO!! :) Honestly this card took all of about 20mins to make, which would have to be some kind of record for me!!! LOL!!!

I started with Very Vanilla base, layered with pink bazzill and punched the side with my Martha Stewart Lattice Arch punch. On top was some pretty Basic Grey Lemonade DSP that I wrapped some 1 inch ivory satin ribbon around. On top of the ribbon I used my Octogon nestabilities - the vanilla layer was embossed with Floral Screen EF. The butterfly was stamped using Inkadinkado's Gem Stone Insects in Orchid versacolor. The sentiment is from SU's Elegant Cheer, stamped in Chocolate Chip on Vanilla and matted with pink bazzill.

Stamps - Gem Stone Insects (Inkadinkado), Elegant Cheer (SU)

Paper - Very Vanilla, Pink Bazzill, Basic Grey Lemonade DSP

Ink - Orchid Versacolor, Chocolate Chip

Multi Challenge Card and the Last Peek!

I can't believe it is my last day blogging over at JustRite!! I hope you've enjoyed popping over and seeing my projects there - I've had a ball playing with the JR products!!! I also really appreciate the comments and support from everyone this week, here on my blog and all those over at JustRite - I've read all of them!!!

Today's project was lots of fun to make and I had fun with colour! I also got to play with the brand new release 'Friendship Set' which is shipping now!!! What are you waiting for?? Hop on over and check it out at JustRite!!!
Tonight I've also had a chance to sit down and play and decided to combine three challenges!!! (What was I thinking???) They are the --- Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge (to cut out and pop up) and the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge (to use buttons and bow/ribbon and a butterfly or fairy).

I started with a base of pale pink bazzill, layered with Mellow Moss and white (pierced) and some Madeline DSP. The next layer is white layered with Mellow Moss that has been stamped using the Amazing Grace Hymn (from Our Daily Bread Designs) in Mellow Moss. For the sketch there were meant to be 5 ribbon tags down the side, but I decided to cross them and make a stitching pattern there with some very fine white ric rak finishing with a button. The main panel has been cut out using the Label 4 dies and the dogwood flowers are from Grow in Grace by Our Daily Bread Designs. I've coloured them with markers and cut them out with scissors and a scalpel and popped them up. The verse is from the Grow in Grace set in Mellow Moss and cut it out using the Ribbon Tags Trio die set and attached with pale pink satin ribbon. Finally I added some Snow Kaisercraft pearls to the verse panel, added some Martha Stewart Butterflies with pearl bodies and a couple more pearls to the top corners of the Hymn panel.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!

SC229 Thinking of Gardens

Finally the chaos at my place seems to be settling down! Thanks to everyone who have left such kind comments. The roof will be fine for now that the worst is over and it should be repaired in a couple of weeks and cost a few hundred dollars. *SIGH* Oh well, at least it can sustain regular rain!

I think my mojo has been sodden along with my house, so I tried to kick start it with this week's SCS Sketch Challenge . I also decided to use this to join in with this week's Flutterby Wednesday Challenge to use 2 types of patterned paper and a butterfly or fairy. It turned out OK considering I've just realised that one panel is upside down!!!

I started with a Very Vanilla base and layered with Not Quite Navy, Old Olive (pierced) and some Urban Garden DSP. The next panels are more paper from the Urban Garden pack, mounted on VV. The main panel has been stamped using 'Thoughts and Prayers' that my bestest friend Pam sent me. The tree is stamped in Old Olive and the sentiment in NQN on VV card. Then I cut it out using oval nestabilites, pierced the edge and added some cream grosgrain ribbon loops to the sides. Finished off by adding a Baja Breeze butterfly complete with Kasiercraft Latte pearl body and some silver brads to the corners!

Stamps - Thoughts and Prayers (SU)

Paper - Very Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Old Olive, Baja Breeze,Urban Garden DSP (SU)

Ink - Old Olive, Not Quite Navy

Accessories - MS Butterfly punch, Latte pearls, silver brads, Oval Nestabilities, paper piercer and mat pack, cream grosgrain ribbon

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!! :)
