Hello Everyone!! Today I was playing with a few new things - the Orchids stamp set by Flourishes (how pretty is this!!), the RV90's markers (care of my buddy Nat), purple button (care of my sweet friend Kris) and this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!! I've been a bit mojoless lately, so I was hoping the playing with new things might spark something!! :)
I started with the Orchids, stamping them in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and colouring with Copics (RV91, RV93, RV95, RV99 {a little tip-to-tip}, G40, G82, G85, G99, C1, C3, BG0000, BG000, Y13, Y15, W1, 0). It was cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with some Vintage Pink Bazzill cut with Beaded Oval Nestabilities. I followed this week's sketch and constructed my base of vintage pink, white and some Kioshi paper that I found deep in my stash. Across the bottom I added another piece of Kioshi and matted it with white, punched on one side with a scallop punch. Around this I attached some white satin ribbon and topped it with a bow, purple button and some silver cord. Finally I added my orchids image by popping it up on foam tape.
Stamps - Orchids (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Vintage Pink Bazzill, White, Basic Grey Kioshi DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities, White Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Purple Button, Silver Cord, SU Scallop Punch, Foam Tape.
That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

SSSC102 Pink Roses
Hi Everyone! Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I'm trying to get back into some sort of routine with the kids going back to school after the Summer Break (not to mention floods) and I've had two sick kids over the last few days! :( We've also been keeping an eye on Cyclone Yasi which is starting to cross the Queensland coast as I type this - we have friends who have loved ones in the danger zone. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the north of our state who are in the path of this cyclone!
I made this card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - loved the layout this week!!! I've used some deep pink, light pink and white card and made the three panels up with the new Kaisercraft English Rose DP. I had a lot of fun making up my focal panel - first I stamped the roses from JustRite's The Greatest Joy onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV32, RV34, G20, G21, G24) and then cut it out. Then I stamped the frame from Fancy Labels in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut it out (it matches the brand new Spellbinders Labels 18 Nestabilities!!). Next I took another piece of deep pink and stamped the largest image from Fancy Frames in Versamark to give a decorative, yet subtle background. Finished with a pink satin bow and some white pearls!
Stamps - The Greatest Joy, Fancy Labels, Fancy Frames (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Deep Pink, Pale Pink, White Bazzill, Kaisercraft English Rose DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Scissors, Foam Tape.
That's all for today, thanks for visiting!

SSSC97 Peace at Christmas
Hello Everyone! This is the last Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the year and it's such a great one that I had to play along! Thankfully we don't have to wait long and Karen will be back with more on January 2nd!
I started with a base of Aqua bazzill and layered with white and some red bazzill. The paper is Cosmo Cricket's Jolly by Golly DP. The middle panel is some white card that I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Blessings in Memento Tuxedo Black. For a little texture I then embossed it with the Snowflakes EF. Across the bottom, I've added another piece of red that's been punched with the MS Loop Punch and then topped with some white May Arts satin ribbon. The snowflake is from ODBD's Peace and Joy set and has been stamped in Celadon Versacolor ink and cut out using the Custom Snowflake die. (You can buy them in a bundle and save 10%!) To finish I added some Kaisercraft Silver Rhinestones to the Snowflake and the top corners.

Walk in the Light
Hello Everyone! Today I'm using last week's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge and the recent ODBD release called 'Light'. It's such a beautiful sentiment and I've decided to use a soothing blue to highlight it along with some beautiful pearl flourishes!

Next I stamped the sentiment from Light in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with blue bazzill cut with Big Scallop Circles Large. Across the bottom of the circle I've added another piece of blue bazzill that has been punched on one side with the Lace border punch and topped with white satin ribbon. Around the side I've added two ZVA pearl flourishes and added a large Prima flower and two smaller ZVA white roses.
Stamps - Light (ODBD)
Paper - Blue Bazzill, White, Memory Box Frond DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Big Scallop Circle Large and Large Circle Nestabilities, May Arts White Satin Ribbon, Fiskars Lace Border Punch, ZVA Pearl Flourishes, ZVA White Roses, Prima Flower.

In My Heart
Hello Everyone! I know all my Northern Hemisphere friends are enjoying the beginning of Summer and many are preparing for end of school year, but here in Australia it's turning cold and there are just a few days left before the (winter) school holidays. Today it's chilly, grey and raining a bit. Blech!!! :( I had to help a friend make a sympathy card over the week-end and it occurred to me that I really should have a few of these in my card stash because you never know when you are going to need one. I saw this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and decided to play along! It also qualifies for the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge this week to use paper flowers!! :)
I started with a base of white and layered with dusty blue bazzill and then another layer of white that I embossed with the Nat EF. Next I took two pieces of Memory Box Frond DSP and matted both with more blue bazzill - the vertical panel I punched the border with my new Martha Stewart Iron Gate Punch. I then stamped the sentiment from ODBD's From Me To You set in Our Daily Bread Steel Blue ink and cut it out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and matted with the matching scallop in blue bazzill and popped it all up on foam tape. I then pierced all around the oval. I then added a piece of ribbon across the bottom and topped it with some blue Prima flowers that my BFF Edna gave me for my birhday and added a couple of punched green branches. To finish I added a couple of pearls to the top corner.
Stamps - From Me To You (ODBD)
Paper - White, Blue Bazzill, Memory Box Frond DSP
Ink - Our Daily Bread Steel Blue
Accessories - Petite Oval and Petite Scallop Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Iron Gate Border Punch, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, 1/2" White Satin Ribbon, Prima Flowers, Kaisercraft Denim Pearls, Nat Embossing Folder, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Foam Tape.

SSSC63 Dad
Today I got to play the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC63) and I really, really liked the sketch this week! I also got to use the two new sets by Our Daily Bread Designs called Happy Father's Day (for the image) and Dad (for the sentiment). My Father-in-Law has his birthday this month and I was thinking of him as I made this card.
I started with a base of Chocolate Chip and layered with Kiwi Kiss and Very Vanilla. The vanilla was embossed with Distressed Stripes EF and then lightly sponged with Close to Cocoa ink. The horizontal panel is more chocolate punched on one side with the Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch and layered with some MME Little Boy Blue DSP. The toolbox is from Happy Father's Day and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (E21, E29, E31, E33, E35, E37, B93, B95, YG63, YG67, YG91, YG95, Y21, YR23, C1, C3) ) and cut out with Small Circle Nestabilities and then matted with Kiwi Kiss cut with Label 12 Nestabilities. Finally I stamped the DAD sentiment from the Dad Set in Chocolate Chip, lightly sponged with Cocoa and cut with circle nestabilities and matted with more chocolate and popped it up on foam tape.
Stamps - Dad, Happy Father's Day (ODBD)
Paper - Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, X-press It Blending Card, MME Little Boy Blue DSP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Labels 12, Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch, Copics, Distressed Stripes EF, Foam Tape.
