FTTC115 So Sweet

Hello Everyone!!  Today I decided to play along with this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge - which is a sketch challenge hosted by the lovely Silke!!!  If you've seen the sketch, you'll realise mine is reversed.....I don't know why, the other way just wasn't working for me so I flipped it!  (I'm sure Silke won't mind!!  :)  ).

I decided to use the Berry Sweet set and inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (R32, R35, R39, R89, G12, G24, G28, V99, YG00, BG0000, BG000, C0, 0).  I used the sketch provided and constructed my base with white, red, white (pierced around the edge) and some MME DP that I found in my stash.  The circular panel is white cut with Beaded Circle Nesties, red cut with Large Circle Nesties and across the top so white crochet ribbon topped with white satin ribbon that was knotted on one side.  I cut my Raspberries out with Labels 11 Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  Next I added a red button, threaded some silver cord through in and 'hung' my sentiment (also from Berry Sweet) from it.  To finish I added some Kaisercraft clear rhinestones to the corners.
Stamps - Berry Sweet (Flourishes)
Paper - White, Red Bazzill, MME DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Beaded Circle, Large Circle, Small Circle and Labels 11 Nestabilities, White Crochet Ribbon, White Satin Ribbon, Red Button, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Kaisercraft Clear Rhinestones, Silver Cord, Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

My Life is Blessed

Hello Everyone!!!  Today's card has been made for this week's CopicOz Challenge, hosted by yours truly!!!  :)  Instead of making a Mother's Day card, I've challenged you to create a card to Celebrate Women!  If you want to make a Mother's Day card, than GREAT that works, but you CAN make a card (or any kind of project as long as you use your Copic Markers!) for any of those special women in your life.....Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, BFF!  Let's see you celebrate those wonderful women in your life and link up your project to the CopicOz Blog HERE!!

For today's card I started with a base of white, layered with deep pink and more white and topped with some MME Quite Contrary DP which I sewed around the edge.  The flower image is from Flourishes' Lenten Rose stamp set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (R81, R83, R85, G40, G82, G85, G99, BG000, BG0000, E51, E53, C0, C1, C3, 0).  It was cut out with Large Rectangle Nestabilities and matted with light pink bazzill cut with the matching scallop nesties.  The sentiment is from Flourishes' Spring Bouquet stamp set, also stamped in Tuxedo Black and cut out with Fancy Tags Three Spellbinders.  (I actually trimmed one of the top flourish bits so it would fit neatly under the flower petal.)  While it was still in the Spellbinders Die, I airbrushed it with my R85 Copic Marker.  Both the image and sentiment panels were popped up on foam tape.  I finished by adding a wide white satin ribbon and a couple of Kasiercraft Snow White Pearls.

Stamps - Lenten Rose, Spring Bouquet (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Deep Pink and Light Pink Bazzill, White, MME Quite Contrary DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Fancy Tags 3, Large Rectangle and Lg Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities, White Satin Ribbon, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Sewing Machine, Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you play along with me at CopicOz!!  :)

Thought of You Today

Hello Everyone!!!  Today's card was made using this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and I was also able to play with the new A Warm Hello stamp set by JustRite Stampers!  This is a 1 5/8th circle size set of 9 borders and centres - which I thought would be perfect for this sketch!
I started with a base of aqua bazzill and layered with white, Pumpkin Pie and some MME Mabel DP.  The horizontal panel is more Pumpkin punched with the EK single curve punch, topped with aqua and some white organdy ribbon.  The vertical panel is white topped with more Mabel DP and then wrapped around the whole card is some white satin ribbon.  I stamped the sentiment from A Warm Hello in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out with Small Circle Nestabilites, matting with the smallest of the Lacey Circle Nestabilities.  The border was stamped in Memento Tangelo and cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities, matted with Pumpkin cut out with Small Circle Nestabilities and matted again using aqua cut with Blossom 3 Nestabilities!!  You know the best thing????  You can do them all at once with the Grand Calibur!!!!  Talk about time saver!!!!  :)  I popped the whole sentiment panel up on foam tape and added a bow to the ribbon.  I realised I don't own any clear rhinestones, so I coloured them with a YR18 Copic Marker and voila.......matching embellishments!!  :)

Stamps - A Warm Hello (JustRite)
Paper - Aqua Bazzill, White, Pumpkin Pie, MME Mabel DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Tangelo

FTTC113 Flowers!!!

Hello Everyone!!  Anyone who regularly visits my blog would know of my love of flowers, so when I saw this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use flowers, you know I'm going to have to play along right!!  :)

I did, however decide to do something a little different and instead of a card (*GASP*) - I made a candle!!  I used Sunflowers by Flourishes, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (YR12, YR16, YR18, G24, G28, R27, E33, YR24).

I used a sentiment from the same set for the back, coloured some ribbon to match and accented with some twine and a button.  Quick and easy, but turned out beautifully!  :)

Stamps - Sunflowers (Flourishes)
Paper - Tissue Paper, Wax Paper
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Candle, Copics, White Organdy Ribbon, Twine, Button, Heat Gun

Introducing Be Happy

Hello Everyone!!  Today the team at JustRite are introducing another of the April releases called Be Happy!  With four fun borders and verse sentiments that are ribbed to work with the 2" Square Wood Stamper, this is a great set to make those quick thank you and 'just because' cards!  :)
I started with a base of dark aqua bazzill and layered with white and yellow card, topped with some MME Hazel DP.  I pierced around the edges of the DP and then stamped two corners with a corner stamp from Signs of Life in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The next panel is more aqua and topped with more MME Hazel DP.  Next I cut out the yellow bazzill using the Fleur de Lis Pendant die and popped it up on foam tape.  I stamped both the border and the sentiment in blue - the border onto a White Twinchie Square and the sentiment onto the white Inchie + square and adhered them both to the centre of the Fleur de Lis panel.  Finally I added some ribbon and flowers to two of the corners and a few Kaisercraft Lemon Pearls to the centre panel.

Stamps - Be Happy, Signs of Life (JustRite)
Paper - Aqua, Yellow, White Bazzill, MME Hazel DP
Ink - Blue, Memento Rich Cocoa

Introducing Signs of Life

Hello Everyone!!  Today JustRite Stampers are introducing another new stamp set for April!  This one is called Signs of Life and comes in CLING!!  Such a fun set with mix and match signs to go with the bracket and also coordinate with many of the Spellbinders sets - S4-189 Labels Three, S4-291 Labels Fifteen, S4-295 Lacey Squares, S4-301 labels Sixteen, S4-297 Labels Twelve!
I used this week's Crazy for Challenges sketch (C4C81) for the layout and used a base of aqua, vanilla, chocolate and MME Hazel DP.  Across the bottom is more chocolate punched with the MS Iron Gate punch and topped with more MME DP.  Over this I added some ivory satin ribbon and topped with dark cream ribbon.  The main panel has had the bracket stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa.  The 'sign' from Signs of Life was stamped in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut out with Labels 3 Nestabilities.  I wanted to add a little depth so it didn't blend into the background so much so I airbrushed E55 over the sign and then added a little to the corners of the background panel.  I stamped the sentiment from Signs of Life in Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out with Small Circle Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  Next I took one of the corner stamps from the same set and stamped each of the top corners (also in Rich Cocoa) and added a Chocolate Pearl to each.  Finally I added a bow topped with a button.

Stamps - Signs of Life (JustRite)
Paper - Aqua Bazzill, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, MME Hazel DP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Labels 3 and Small Circle Nestabilities, MS Iron Gate Punch, Ivory and Dark Cream Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Button, Twine, Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls, Foam Tape.

JRC_052 Inspired by Colour!

Hello Everyone!!!  Today it's another JustRite Stampers Challenge and this week we have the pleasure of hopping with some of the Copic Instructors!!!  This week is a colour challenge based on the inspiration picture above.  You don't have to use the Copic Colours listed, they are only a guide!  You can choose any combination of these colors (or just one, for perhaps a monochromatic project) or all colors or just get inspiration from the photo.  Neutrals from the photo can also be used: cream & brown.  What colour is inspiring you???
I decided to lean more towards the blues and greens with a hint of orange flowers!  :)  I actually began by stamping the birdhouse from Birdhouses in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copic Markers (B91, B95, B97, E50, E51, E53, BG000, Y21, Y35, Y38, YG03, YG63, YG67, 0).  I then very carefully cut it out and placed it aside.  Next I stamped a border also from Birdhouses in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and matted with Old Olive cut with circle and scallop circle Nestabilities.  I then used some twine to create a hanging string for the birdhouse.  The sentiment is from the Happy Everything set has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut with JustRite's custom die set called Nested Sentiment Dies and then popped up on foam tape.

Stamps - Birdhouses, Happy Everything (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, White, MME Lush DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Large, Small and Scalloped Large Circle Nestabilities, Nested Sentiment Dies, MS Lattice Arch Punch, White and Blue Satin Ribbons, Bow Easy, Twine, Clear Rhinestones, Foam Tape.

For more beautiful and inspiring ideas, just wait till you see the creations made by these girls.....
