2S4Y Thinking of You...

This card is for the 2 Sketches 4 You challenge this week. It is being sponsored by JustRite and you have the chance to win $100 worth of products.......no I'm not kidding!!! And....it's open to everyone, including international players! You just have to get your cards linked up by 1 August!!
I started with a base of white and layered with Old Olive and pink bazzill. Then I cut three pieces of Kaisercraft Wish Upon paper for the panels. Next I took some more pink bazzill and punched it with the Fiskars 'Lace' border punch and glued these to each side. For the oval panel I've stamped the brand new JustRite Thinking of You set in Old Olive and Black onto white card and then coloured the flowers with markers and a blender pen and cut it out with the Large Classic Oval Nestabilties and matted with Old Olive cut using the matching scalloped ovals. I then attached some light green satin ribbon loops to each side and added a 'Lush' Kaisercraft pearl (how happy was I with this match???!!!) and then popped the entire panel up with foam tape.
Stamps - Thinking of You (JustRite)
Paper - White, Old Olive, pink bazzill, Kaisercraft Wish Upon DSP
Ink - Old Olive, Black
Accessories - Markers, blender pen, Large Classic Oval Nestabilities, Large Scallop Oval Nestabilities, green satin ribbon, Lush Kaisercraft pearls, Fiskars 'Lace' border punch, foam tape.

DTGD09 For a Fanpire...

Come on hands up how many of you thought of Twilight when you saw a challenge for Black, White and a splash of Red??? Obviously I did and considering I just got these fab Twilight stamps from Artful Inkables that my GF Michelle (aka sf9erfan) sent on for me - how could I resist??? :) Actually I managed to combine 3 challenges in this card - Jen's, Kim's and Sharon's. This card is going to the 15yr old daughter of one of my friends who is a huge Fanpire!!! Hope she likes it!!!

I started with a base of Black Bazzill, layered with White and then some Kaisercraft Argentella DSP. The main panel is from Into the Moonlight by Artful Inkables and has been stamped in black on watercolour paper twice and coloured using a Real Read ink pad and a blender pen and an aqua painter. I cut one of the images out with the Large Circle Nestabilities and matted it with some red bazzill cut with the Large Pinking Circle Nestabilities. With the second image I cut out the apple and the flower head and popped them up on foam tape. The sentiment is from Fictionally Inspired also by Artful Inkables and has been stamped in black on white and cut out with the Label 4 Nestabilities. I've punched a small hole in one corner and strung it with some silver cord. I finished off by looping it over some knotted red satin ribbon attached across the bottom of the card.

Stamps - Into the Moonlight, Fictonally Inpsired (Artful Inkables)

Paper - Black, White, Red, Kaisercraft Argentella DSP

Ink - Black, Real Red

Accessories - Blender pen, Aqua Painter, foam tape, Red satin ribbon, Label 4 Nestabilities, Lg Circle Nestabilties, Lg Pinking Circle Nestabilities, silver cord, 1/16th circle punch.

Well that's another 3 challenges down - 10 to go!!! :) That's all for now, thanks for visiting!!! :)

DTGD09 Got the Blues

Today's card is FIVE challenges combined!!! I'm running out of time to complete all the Dare to Get Dirty challenges, so I've combined Betty's, Laurie's, Jami's, Carolina's and Deb's!!!! The title of the post is taken from Jami's Blue challenge.

This post is also a bittersweet one as it is my last one for Our Daily Bread Designs as my Guest term finishes at the end of July. I have been truly blessed to have been able to create and share with this amazing group of women and I will miss each of them very much. Thank you so much to Kelley and Judy for inviting me into the Breadbasket, I've had a wonderful time and I'll never forget this time with you all! Thanks to all the girls and although I won't be part of the basket any more I will certainly be frequenting your blogs!!!

I started with a base of light blue bazzill and layered with a darker shade of blue. The top layer is Very Vanilla that I've stamped using Amazing Grace Hymn in Sky Blue versacolor. Then I sponged all the edges with the ODBD Steel Blue Ink pad. I then attached some blue 1 inch satin ribbon across the bottom and layered it with this yummy blue braid that I found at Bee Crafty in Maryborough. To one side I added the large blue satin bow that I made with my new Bow Easy (in case you haven't read any of my recent posts......I LOVE THIS TOOL!!!) :) Next I stamped the sentiment from Grow in Grace in Steel Blue and cut it out with the Large Octogon Nestabilities and matted it with the Large Scalloped Octogon Nestabilities. I pierced around the edge with a paper piercer and mat pack and added some Baby Blue Kaisercraft flowers and some Denium Kaisercraft pearls in the centres. I finished off by adding a few more denium pearls to the top left corner.

Well that's now eleven of the twenty-four challenges done......thirteen to go!!! :) Thanks for visiting!!!!

The main panel is the largest butterfly from Inkadinkado's Gem Stone Insects that has been stamped in Rose Red ink on VV card and popped up with foam tape. Underneath that is some more VV that's been embossed with the Floral Screen embossing folder, matted with some Teal Bazzill and more VV. I've cut them using the small, large and large scalloped circle nestabilities. I finished off by adding the birthday sentiment from 'Elegant Cheer' (SU) in Chocolate Chip ink and some Aquamarine Kaisercraft rhinestones that my wonderful friend Michelle (aka sf9erfan) sent me!!! :) Thanks so much Michelle (it's also thanks to you that I couldn't resist this Lemonade paper)!!!

Dare to Get Dirty Begins!!!!

It's Dare to Get Dirty week over at SCS - if you're a fan club member come on and join the fun!!! :) All the details can be found HERE! I'm a little late off the mark and I've started by combining 3 of the challenges because I've been very ill this week beginning with a bad asthma attack Wednesday and then spending most of Thursday unconscious thanks to a severe migraine. Normally I would try not to combine challenges but I really don't want to push my already fragile head. Soooooo, I've combined Becca's, One Happy Stamper's and KrystieLee's challenges.

I started with a base of Tangerine Tango, layered with Very Vanilla and then some of this yummy Bloom & Grow paper from My Mind's Eye! It's actually 2 sheets from the same range. I stamped the image from JustRite's brand new Friendship Set in Close to Cocoa on Very Vanilla and coloured with markers and a blender pen and cut it out with the Large Circle Nestabilities and popped it up with foam tape. Then I cut a piece of Tangerine Tango with the Small Circle Nestabilities to mat it with. Then I stamped half the border from the same stamp set in Close to Cocoa on some Teal coloured Bazzill and cut it out with Large Octogons and matted with some Tangerine Tango cut with the Large Scalloped Octogons. I've added some clear large Dew Drops and some light cream 1/2" satin ribbon through the middle. I finished off by adding a large satin bow made from the 1" matching satin ribbon using the Bow-Easy. I have to say I am LOVING this new tool - perfect bows everytime!!! :)

Stamps - Friendship Set (JustRite)

Paper - Bloom & Grow (MME), Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, Teal coloured Bazzill

Ink - Close to Cocoa

Accessories - Large Circle Nestabilities, Small Circle Nestabilities, Large Octogon Nestabilties, Large Scalloped Octogon Nestabilities, Clear Dew Drops, 1/2" Light Cream Satin ribbon, 1" Light Cream Satin Ribbon, Bow-Easy, Foam tape.

FS128 Sympathy

This week's Featured Stamper at SCS is Minnidr - Congratulations to Diane!!! I didn't get very far into her gallery when I decided I was going to case her Birthday Wishes card. I've changed the colours and theme but kept the overall feel of her card. I needed to make a sympathy card and felt that this layout would be perfect. Sadly I found out yesterday that a friend of the family (and father-in-law of my cousin) passed away after a long battle with a brain tumour.

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and then punched the edge with my new EK Success Fleur de Lis punch and then added a strip of Black Bazzill underneath the punched edge. I took another piece of black bazzill and layered it with some DCWV La Creme paper and added some black satin ribbon across the bottom. I made the bow using my brand new Bow-Easy. (I can't tell you how impressed I am with that find!!) Next I took the sentiment from JustRite's brand new July Release set, Thinking Of You and stamped it in black on Very Vanilla and cut it out with scissors (I couldn't for the life of me get it inside the oval nesties so I gave in and cut it out). I then layered that on a black Label 4 Nestabilities die cut and popped it up on foam tape over the next size Label 4 cut out of Very Vanilla. Finally I added some 'Vintage' (provocraft) die cuts also in Very Vanilla and topped with a Black Kaisercraft Pearl on each one.

Stamps - Thinking of You (JustRite)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Black, DCWV La-Creme
Ink - Black
Accessories - EK Success Fleur de Lis punch, black satin ribbon, black Kaisercraft pearls, Vintage Die set (provocraft), Label 4 Nestabilities, Bow-Easy.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Friends for CPS!

Today I've made a card for the CPS Sketch Challenge. This week the sponsor is JustRite and if you enter before Saturday 25 July 8pm (USA Central Time) you could have the chance to win something from JustRite!!! How cool is that!!! What are you waiting for - go check it out!!!

I started with a white base and layered with Riding Hood Red (pierced edge) and some Bella Rose DSP. The vertical panel is more Bella Rose DSP layered on some white that I've punched one side with the Fiskars Eyelet Lace embossing border punch. I wrapped some 1" white satin ribbon around that layer to the edge of the card and topped it with some 1/2" red satin that I knotted over the top. The circular panel has been stamped using JustRite's brand new Friendship Set which I just love!! I've only used the centre so it would fit with the sketch. I stamped it in black on white and coloured with markers and a blender pen, cut it out with Large Circle Nestabilities and pierced the edge with a paper piercer and mat pack. I've used the matching Circle Scallop Nestabilities to matt it and popped the circle up on foam tape. I finished off by adding some Kaisercraft Snow pearls to the top right corner.

Stamps - Friendship Set (JustRite)
Paper - White, Riding Hood Red, Bella Rose DSP
Ink - Black
Accessories - Circle nestabilities, 1" white satin ribbon, 1/2" red satin ribbon, paper piercer, mat pack, kaisercraft snow pearls, fiskars eyelet lace embossing border punch, foam tape, markers, blender pen.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

SC237 Thinking of Daisies

I have FINALLY gotten around to making a card for this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS! This is a bit of a change for me, since I don't normally use images that require so much colouring (mostly because my colouring really isn't that good!!) but I just LOVE this sweet Daisy image by Sugar Nellie and I was so very blessed that Sharon sent me some to play with!! Thanks so much Sharon they are just adorable!! I also couldn't have done it without my bestie Pam who sent me these little clear dew drops and the 'Thoughts and Prayers' stamp set that I've used for the sentiment!

I started with a base of purple bazzill and then created the next layer of white, punched with the MS Doiley edge punch and topped with some Basic Grey Wisteria DSP. Then I ran some purple satin ribbon down one side and knotted it at the bottom. The horizontal layer is some more Wisteria DSP matted with white and the dew drops added to the sides. The main panel is the adorable 'Daisy' image from Sugar Nellie that was coloured with markers and a blender pen and then cut out and popped up on a rectangle cut with the Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities! (Yes, I know - half way through cutting I realised it was an insane thing to do!!) I finished off by adding the sentiment from SU's 'Thoughts and Prayers' in Chocolate Chip.

Stamps - Daisy (Sugar Nellie), Thoughts and Prayers (SU)

Paper - Purple Bazzill, White, Wisteria DSP

Ink - Black, Chocolate Chip

Accessories - Markers, blender pen, purple satin ribbon, dew drops, Large Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities, scissors (lots of cutting!), foam tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

JustRite Blog Hop!!!!!

Welcome to the July JustRite Blog Hop!!!!! Today I'm excited to show you a sneak peek of the upcoming release of Christmas Treasures which will be available for purchase in August. This is a gorgeous 4 Border, 4 Centers set which fits the 3 1/4 inch circle stamper. I chose this beautiful cardinal, holly and birdhouse centre with the holly and sentiment border. As soon as I saw this border I knew I had to use it. My Mum loves that Christmas Carol and I thought of her straightaway - it brings back a lot of wonderful Christmas memories. I was also inspired by this week's Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge - I thought it would be perfect for what I wanted to make!

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Chocolate Chip. I then cut three strips of Basic Grey Wassail paper and matted it with Ruby Red and added that to the Chocolate Chip layer. For the main panel I stamped the Christmas Treasures border and centre in Chocolate Chip twice and cut the centre out of one with the Large Circle Nestabilities and coloured it with markers and a blender pen. Then I used the mat pack and paper piercer to pierce the edge of the centre layer and popped it up on foam tape. Then I cut out the border with the larger Circle Nestabilities from the same pack and coloured the holly with markers and attached to a Ruby Red layer that had been cut with the Label 3 die set. I finished off by adding some Latte Kaisercraft pearls to the corners and red satin ribbon to the top left and bottom right card corners. The bow was made using the Bow-Easy....which I tell you is REALLY easy to do and the bow is perfect!!! :)

Multi Challenge Card and the Last Peek!

I can't believe it is my last day blogging over at JustRite!! I hope you've enjoyed popping over and seeing my projects there - I've had a ball playing with the JR products!!! I also really appreciate the comments and support from everyone this week, here on my blog and all those over at JustRite - I've read all of them!!!

Today's project was lots of fun to make and I had fun with colour! I also got to play with the brand new release 'Friendship Set' which is shipping now!!! What are you waiting for?? Hop on over and check it out at JustRite!!!
Tonight I've also had a chance to sit down and play and decided to combine three challenges!!! (What was I thinking???) They are the --- Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge (to cut out and pop up) and the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge (to use buttons and bow/ribbon and a butterfly or fairy).

I started with a base of pale pink bazzill, layered with Mellow Moss and white (pierced) and some Madeline DSP. The next layer is white layered with Mellow Moss that has been stamped using the Amazing Grace Hymn (from Our Daily Bread Designs) in Mellow Moss. For the sketch there were meant to be 5 ribbon tags down the side, but I decided to cross them and make a stitching pattern there with some very fine white ric rak finishing with a button. The main panel has been cut out using the Label 4 dies and the dogwood flowers are from Grow in Grace by Our Daily Bread Designs. I've coloured them with markers and cut them out with scissors and a scalpel and popped them up. The verse is from the Grow in Grace set in Mellow Moss and cut it out using the Ribbon Tags Trio die set and attached with pale pink satin ribbon. Finally I added some Snow Kaisercraft pearls to the verse panel, added some Martha Stewart Butterflies with pearl bodies and a couple more pearls to the top corners of the Hymn panel.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!

SCS236 Love Gives...

I had a chance to sit down and play with this week's SCS Sketch Challenge. I really quite liked this layout and will probably use it again.

Today I decided to use the brand new Let Us Begin by Our Daily Bread Designs to make a simple, elegant card. What a wonderful sentiment this is and such a beautiful corner lotus!

I started with a base of Very Vanilla, layered with Fawn Bazzill and some paper by Paperie. The next panel is actually some 2" wide ivory ribbon with a piece of VV underneath punched with the EK success Fleur de Lis punch. The next panel is some more Paperie DSP matted with VV and a gold swirl clip with some 1/2" ivory satin ribbon knotted on it. The main panel was cut with Lg Rectangle Nestabilities has the sentiment stamped in Chocolate Chip and the corner lotus image stamped in versamark and embossed with gold embossing poweder. Then I've pierced around the edge of the panel and added some Chino Kaisercraft pearls to the corners. I've finished off by adding some larger Chino pearls to the corners of the card.

Stamps - Let Us Begin - ODBD

Paper - Very Vanilla, Fawn Bazzill, Paperie

Ink - Chocolate Chip, Versamark

Accessories - Fleur de Lis border punch, gold embossing powder, 2" ivory satin ribbon, 1/2" ivory satin ribbon, Lg Rectangle Nestabilities, gold swirl clip, Chino pearls (kaisercraft), paper piercer and mat pack.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting!! :)

Featured Stamper - B-gin-r

This is for the Featured Stamper Challenge over at SCS and this week the honour goes to B-gin-r (aka Sandra)!! Congratulations Sandra and enjoy your week! I really loved her large gallery and as soon as I saw all the layouts with circles - well I just had to grab my JustRite Stamps didn't I!! I was inspired by a lot of Sandra's card along with her Lovely Layers card. I changed the centre square to a circle, changed the image and colours.

I started with a base of white, layered with Chocolate Chip and some Bella Rose DSP. I decided to do some Zig Zag stitching around the edge with my sewing machine which I really shouldn't have done because it brought to my attention that it is not happy and probably needs a service! :(

The next panel is more Chocolate Chip layered with Riding Hood Red and white which has been embossed with the 'Argyle' EF. The main panel is the brand new, soon to be released Friendship Set by JustRite (which will be available to purchase on July 7th!!!) which I stamped with Old Olive and Chocolate Chip. I then coloured the roses in red and green with markers and a blender pen. The whole panel is popped up on foam tape and the middle is popped up on thinner foam squares. Finished off with some silver brads in the corners.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting!!! :)

JustRite for Colleen...

Today's card has been made using the BEAUTIFUL new set by JustRite called Thinking of You which comes with 6 borders and centres (not the wooden stamper). This set will be available for sale from July 7!!!

As soon as I saw this set I knew this was the stamp that I was going to use for Colleen. Colleen is a very dear friend of my mother's who is in final stages of Mesothelioma who was once a keen cardmaker and lover of all papercrafts. When Mum told her I'd been asked to join the JustRite DT she was so happy for me that I wanted to make her something using the JustRite range.
I started with a base of light purple bazzill and layered with a darker shade (that I'd pierced to the punched edge) and some Basic Grey Wisteria paper that I'd punched with the EK success Fleur de Lis border punch. Then down the lefthand side I placed some white 1" satin ribbon and topped with some light purple 1/2" satin ribbon knotting it at the bottom end. I used the Thinking of You set to stamp the main panel twice, firstly in Old Olive and secondly in Black. The centre was coloured with markers and cut out with my Large Oval Nestabilities (although I've discovered that the Small versions would work better - but mine are on order!). The bottom part was cut out with the same oval nestabilties and matted with some light purple bazzill cut with the Scalloped Large Oval Nestabilties. The whole panel was popped up with Foam Tape and the centre panel popped up on thin demensionals. Finished off with a few Snow Kaisercraft pearls in the corners.

Stamps - Thinking of You Set (JustRite)
Paper - Purple Bazzill (2 shades), Basic Grey Wisteria DSP
Ink - Black, Old Olive, Perfect Plum (SU), Sunflower (ODBD)
Accessories - Lg Oval Nesties, Lg Oval Scalloped Nesties, white 1" satin ribbon, purple 1/2" satin ribbon, Fleur de Lis border punch, white pearls, foam tape, dimensionals, paper piercer and mat pack.

The other DT girls have been making beautiful projects with the new releases so don't forget to stop by their blogs as well!!!! (Links on the Lefthand sidebar or at the JustRite Blog!)

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

RELEASE DAY and BLOG HOP!!!

It's the First of the Month, so that means it's ODBD Release Day and BLOG HOP!!!! If you've come here from Sandee's blog, you are in the right place!!! If you haven't, start back at the ODBD Blog......oh, did I mention --- there's BLOG CANDY and not just one, but THREE!!! WOOHOO!!!

Today there are 3 brand new sets and 2 singles available for sale --- and they are beautiful!!! They are Grow in Grace, Amazing Grace (single), Amazing Grace Hymn (single) which co-ordinate and Mother Teresa and Let Us Begin which also co-ordinate. To see the all the images of these sets go to Our Daily Bread Designs!

The Design Team were challenged by Judy to pick three of the ODBD stamp pads for today's release day. The surprise was we hadn't seen the stamp sets yet and they could have been ANYTHING and we have to use all three colours (black is allowed too)! I played it safe and chose Olive, Steel Blue and Sunflower. I'm really impressed with these dye ink pads.....and even better, they're only US$3.50!! Just to really challenge myself, I also used this week's Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge!

And if that's not all......

July 1st marks the first day of our Guest Designer Contest! That’s right! YOU could be the next Guest Designer for ODBD! We are looking for two designers to join the Bread Basket for a month in August and in September! If this is something you would be interested in, email three samples (.jpeg files) of your best work to Judy at lidaroseroz@GMAIL.com by July 9th! That’s right – you only have NINE days! ODBD images are preferred, but not required. But what is required? If you are chosen, you will be working with two beautiful stamp sets during your “Guest Month” and will make a total of six projects for that month. Can you stick to a deadline? Do you have photography skills that can show off your creations? We want to hear from you!
Include your name, address, and a link to your blog and SCS Gallery in your email. Tell us a little about yourself and why you would like to be in the “Bread Basket” (our Design Team). We will announce the Guest Designers on the ODBD BLOG on July 11th!

I'm not going to hold you up with more chatter, so hop on over to BECCA!!!
