Song in my Heart

Hello Everyone!!!  Today we are introducing the new Song in my Heart stamp set by JustRite Stampers!!  Friendship is one of the most precious things we have and this set is all about celebrating those special relationships!!!  I have always loved this sentiment and was so excited to see JustRite release it in this oval shape - perfect to cut out with my large oval nestabilities!!

Today I've gone with pretty pinks and greens and some Papermania DP.  I created the double punched borders, the white is the Deco Fan border punch and then layered with a scallop edge punch.  Around the middle I've attached some white crochet lace and topped with pink satin ribbon.  For the feature panel, I've cut out some pink with Labels 17 and embossed it.  Next I stamped the sentiment from Song in my Heart in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white and cut it out with Large Oval Nestabilities.  The border was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto pink bazzill and cut out with Large and Small Oval Nestabilities to create a ring and then popped up on foam tape.  Finally I added a pink bow, topped with a white flower and added a few white pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Song in my Heart (JustRite)
Paper - Pink, White and Green Bazzill, Papermania Rose Garden DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Large and Small Oval, Labels 17 Nestabilities, Scallop Edge Punch, Martha Stewart Deco Fan Punch, Victoria EF, White ZVA Flower, White Crochet Lace, Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

Well that's all from me for now, don't miss more beautiful creations with this set by checking out the JustRite Inspiration Blog!!!  :)

Butterfly Garden Thank You!

Hello Everyone and welcome to the release for JustRite Stampers new Heart to Heart set!!!  This set has four wide decorative borders and four sentiments to go in the middle - although you could use many of the JustRite sentiments inside these beautiful frames!!  :)

This set can be used for all sorts of occasions and I chose to make my card a Thank You card because you can never have too many of these stashed away ready at a moment's notice!!  :)

I created the base of Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, White and Kaisercraft Devonshire Tea DP.  Across the middle I added another piece of Chocolate that has been punched with the Iron Gate punch, topped with more Devonshire Tea and than added some organdy ribbon.  The feature panel has been made by stamping the sentiment and frame from Heart to Heart twice - once in Memento Bamboo Leaves and once in Memento Tuxedo Black.  The green one was then cut out with Large Oval Nestabilities, matted with chocolate cut with Small Oval Nestabilities and matted again with olive cut with Beaded Oval Nestabilities - all cut at the same time with my fabulous Grand Calibur!!!  I then turned to my black stamped image and coloured the butterflies with Copics (YR12, YR18 - found in the Orange Quad), cut them all out and popped them up on foam tape so they look like they are flying in a garden!  I also cut out the sentiment and popped it up on foam tape too.  To finish I added a bow to the ribbon and topped it with a button and then added some Chocolate pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Heart to Heart (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, White, Kaisercraft Devonshire Tea DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Large Oval, Small Oval and Beaded Oval Nestabilities, Martha Stewart Iron Gate Punch, Button, Gold Cord, Kaisercraft Chocolate Pearls, Foam Tape, Scissors.

I almost forgot - this card is perfect for this week's Flutterby Challenge to use butterflies, fairies or angels on your card!!  :)

Don't miss the other beautiful projects today - you can find the list on the JustRite Inspiration Blog!!!  That's all from me today - hope you've been inspired to stamp!!  :)

Rainbows and Smiles

Hello Everyone and welcome to the release of the brand new My Rainbow set by JustRite Stampers!!  This is a set of 4 sentiment centres and interchanging borders with rainbow themes!!  Whether you are cheering your friend, or thanking them for cheering you, this is a fabulous set to have!!

After the flooding that hit my city last month, this sentiment jumped out at me and begged to be used.  I created the base with green, white and pink bazzill and then two pieces of Kaisercraft English Rose DP.  Across the join I've added a piece of pink satin ribbon.  Then I stamped the sentiment from My Rainbow in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it out with Small Oval Nestabilities and popped it up on top of the border (also from My Rainbow)that was stamped in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut with Large Oval Nestabilities.  It's then matted with dark pink bazzill cut with Big Scallop Oval Nestabilities and then popped up on pink cut with Labels 13 and embossed with Swiss Dots EF.  I then added a couple of rolled flowers and some leafy die cuts, a few pearls and a pink bow!  :)

Stamps - My Rainbow (JustRite)

Birthday Time

Hello Everyone!!  It's been quite a few days since my last post - I've been as sick as a dog with the flu, which in Summer is not fun I can tell you!!  If you read the post on my birthday I told you about my family's plan to make me a card (which I had to prepare for them in kit form I might add).  Well after waiting a week, I decided that they weren't going to do it after all so I figured I may as well put it together myself.  Bit more CAS for me but still pretty in pink and a bit of fun!

The Birthday center and border are from JustRite's Birthday Celebrations set and has been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (G21, G24, R83, R85).  It was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with pink bazzill cut with Eyelet Circle Nestabilities.  The paper is some of my fav My Mind's Eye and finished off with some pink satin ribbon and a couple of white pearls.

Stamps - Birthday Celebrations (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Pink and Dark Pink Bazzill, White, MME DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Large Circle and Eyelet Circle Nestabilities, Deco Fan Border Punch, Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

I also want to show off a few more handmade Birthday RAKs that have come to live at my place!!

From my BFF Edna!!!  She knows I love blue and check out all those popped up flowers and yummy borders.....not to mention that gorgeous orange flower (must get me some of those!!).

From my wonderful friend Nat who has become a Copic Addict thanks to me (Hehehehehe!!!) - what a beautiful job and love all the added bling!!!

And last but not least a card from one of my oldest, dearest friends who still has most of her crafting gear in moving boxes!!!  Sweet Ann, thank you for your beautiful card!!  :)

Well that's all from me today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

FS210 Birthday Birdhouse

It's Sunday and that means it's Featured Stamper challenge time again!  This week the honour goes to Willow01 and I was inspired by her Love ya Bunches card.  I swear in the beginning it looked more like hers, but it kind of morphed into this!  :)  Obviously I changed a bit, moved the sentiment, changed the image, added a few layers, different sentiment etc...  This also qualifies for this week's Our Creative Corner challenge to cut it out.  Now you know I love to colour with my copics and how AWESOME are these new birdhouses by JustRite to play with!!!!!

I stamped the birdhouse and border from Birdhouses twice in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (B32, B34, G21, G24, Y21, YR24, B000, E51, E53, E55).  With one, I only coloured the birdhouse, cut it out and popped it up on foam tape.  It was cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted with Olive card cut with Eyelet Circle Nestabilities.  The sentiment is made from stamping the frame from Fancy Tags (one of the new CLING sets!!!) in Memento Bamboo Leaves, the sentiment from Happy Everything in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut out using the matching die, also from Happy Everything.

There's also a sale at JustRite - selected Cling sets are 25% off and there is also a RETIREMENT sale!!  Yep, some sets are retiring, never to be seen again, so if there's a set you've been dreaming of, now's the time to get it!!!

Stamps - Birdhouses, Fancy Tags, Happy Everything (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Aqua Bazzill, Old Olive, White, Jillibean Soup DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Happy Everything Die, Large Circle and Eyelet Circle Nestabilities, EK Success Embossed Curve Punch, White Lace, Blue Satin Ribbon, Blue Button, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Foam Tape, Scissors.

A few RAKS to share

A few days ago I posted that February is very busy for our family with birthdays and an anniversary - well today is my birthday, so I get to share some of the beautiful RAKS that have made their way to my home!!  :)  The one above is from my wonderful and very talented mother!!!!  Didn't she do an amazing job with this card!!!!  LOVE YOU MUM!!!!!  :)

Next came this gorgeous card from my dear, sweet friend Pam!!  I just love the beautiful blues along withe the neutral tones and the over stamped image!!  Thank you so much Pam - I love it!!!!  :)

And this one comes from my friend and fellow Brisbaneite, Liz Webber!  Just look at this beautiful, rich and elegant card (love the pearl flowers!!!).  Thank you so much Liz, it's absolutely gorgeous!!!

I've had a fairly relaxed kind of day with a little shopping thrown in!  :)  The big excitement was finding out that I'm going to see WICKED in a couple of weeks!!!  ***SQUEAL***  Even better, we are going the night of our wedding anniversary!!  I hear the play is AWESOME!!!!!

Here's a funny story for you - my hubby says to me a few days ago "can you leave some craft stuff out on Wednesday?"........me - "Um, why??"........"the kids and I want to make you a card, so if you can leave some pre-cut bits out that would help".  OoooooK.  So I basically cut everything out, sentiment panel, spellbinders, punched border, lay out ribbon.  Too late Wednesday night he remembers..... "Ooops - forgot to make your card!"  GROAN!!!!  Needless to say, look out for a birthday card being posted here in the near future!!!!

Well that's all I have for you today, thanks for visiting!!  :)

Birthday Robot

Yesterday was my eldest son's 9th Birthday!  I wonder where the time went!  Here he is growing into a young man and now in grade 4!  He's also getting to that stage where he's too old for 'cutesy' stuff and heaven forbid I should give him a peck on the cheek in PUBLIC!!  :)  So I looked at my stamps and thought what should I give this boy for his card, when I found this robot.....perfect!!  (Even better, when he saw it he said....'that's cool Mum'!)

I used a grey base, green and some Basic Grey Marjolaine DP.  The next panel is more Marjolaine matted with more green and across the bottom, I stamped the sentiment from MFT's Little Loveosaurus in Memento Tuxedo Black.  Across that panel I added two pieces of grey grosgrain ribbon.  The robot is from MFT's Love Machine set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with Copics (C0, C1, C3, C5 - the C0 now comes in the CIAO range!!).  It was cut with the Mega Rectangle Nestabilities and matted with the matching scallop in green.  To finish I added a little hardware in the form of silver brads.

Stamps - Love Machine, Little Loveosaurus (MFT)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Grey and Green Bazzill, Basic Grey Marjolaine DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Mega Rectangle and Scalloped Mega Rectangle Nestabilities, Grand Calibur, Grey Grosgrain Ribbon, Silver Brads, Foam Tape.

February is a very busy month for my family - 4 Birthdays, Valentines' Day and it's also our Wedding Anniversary!  With love as our theme this month, I thought what is more iconic than red roses!!  This beautiful Rose Heart is from the recent release called Hearts & Flowers.  I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (R32, R35, R37, R39) and then added subtle sparkle with a Clear Spica.  I then cut it out and attached it to a fan fold flower (white spritzed with Wheat Fields Glimmer Mist).  The base is made up of red, white (pierced) and River Rock card and topped with some MME Lush DP.  I then embossed another piece of River Rock with the Floral and Stone Impressabilities (the embossing comes out AMAZING on my new Grand Calibur!!!!).  The sentiment is also from Hearts & Flowers (and says I Love You!) and I've made it into a notched tag and slipped it under the Heart panel.  Finally I added some red ZVA roses in the corner and accented with some ZVA pearl flourishes and also added some Kaisercraft Snow Pearls to the corners.

Stamps - Hearts and Flowers (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Riding Hood Red, White, River Rock, MME Lush DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Scor Pal, Wheat Fields Glimmer Mist, Floral and Stone Impressabilities, ZVA Pearls and Flowers, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Scissors.

SSSC102 Pink Roses

Hi Everyone!  Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I'm trying to get back into some sort of routine with the kids going back to school after the Summer Break (not to mention floods) and I've had two sick kids over the last few days!  :(  We've also been keeping an eye on Cyclone Yasi which is starting to cross the Queensland coast as I type this - we have friends who have loved ones in the danger zone.  Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the north of our state who are in the path of this cyclone!

I made this card for this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge - loved the layout this week!!!  I've used some deep pink, light pink and white card and made the three panels up with the new Kaisercraft English Rose DP.  I had a lot of fun making up my focal panel - first I stamped the roses from JustRite's The Greatest Joy onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copics (RV000, RV32, RV34, G20, G21, G24) and then cut it out.  Then I stamped the frame from Fancy Labels in Memento Bamboo Leaves and cut it out (it matches the brand new Spellbinders Labels 18 Nestabilities!!).  Next I took another piece of deep pink and stamped the largest image from Fancy Frames in Versamark to give a decorative, yet subtle background.  Finished with a pink satin bow and some white pearls!

Stamps - The Greatest Joy, Fancy Labels, Fancy Frames (JustRite)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Deep Pink, Pale Pink, White Bazzill, Kaisercraft English Rose DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves
Accessories - Copics, Pink Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Scissors, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!
