A Ruby Anniversary

Now - on to today's card!!!  March 28th marked my parent's 40th Anniversary and since it is traditionally the Ruby Anniversary I decided to make them a card with red!  I was inspired by this My Mind's Eye Lush paper which is red flocked.  Since it had a creamy base I matched it with Very Vanilla and used black to make it pop.

I started with a Very Vanilla base and layered with black and the Lush DSP.  Next I cut another piece of Vanilla, embossed it with Swiss Dots and matted it with some red bazzill.  Next I took another piece of black and cut and embossed it with the Spades Pendant die and attached some 1" red satin ribbon through the sides and glued it down.  I then took the centre sentiment from Loving Thoughts (which is currently 20% OFF!) and the border from 2" Square Decorative Frames and stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I cut it out with Lg Square Nestabilities and matted it with a piece of red bazzill and popped it up on foam tape.  To finish I added a large red satin bow made with my Bow Easy and embellished with a few Kaisercraft Blush Pearls.
