Sewing a Quilt

Today I managed to play in not just one....but THREE challenges!!!  WOOHOO!!!  This happens so very rarely for me, so I'm excited!!!  :)  The first is the JustRite Stampers challenge to make a card with a Sewing Theme; the second is the SCS Free 4 All challenge to Make a Quilt and the Our Creative Corner Challenge to use Bows!!!  (Seriously, how often do I NOT use bows LOL!!!!)  For the JustRite challenge there is a $50 Gift Voucher for the winner and $15 for Honourable Mentions - all you have to do is use your JustRite Stamps and a sewing theme!!!  :)

I started with a base of red bazzill, layered with green bazzill and some white.  Next I took four squares of Cosmo Cricket Material Girl and cut them diagonally to make the quilt pattern.  Through the middle I added some red satin ribbon.  The main panel has been stamped using JustRite's Stitched with Love set.  I coloured the heart with Copics (E00, E02, E11, YG00, YG03, YG06, YR23, R20, R22, R27) and then added a little sponging with Antique Linen and cut it out using large circle nestabilities.  I matted this panel with green and red bazzill cut with two sizes of Blossom Nestabilities and popped the whole panel up on foam tape.  To finish I added a red satin bow to the side three buttons to the corner.  (See that green button, I didn't actually have a button that matched so I coloured a white one with YG03!  :)  )

Stamps - Stitched with Love (JustRite)
Paper - Red and Green Bazzill, White, X-press It Blending Card, Cosmo Cricket Material Girl DSP
Ink - Memento Rich Cocoa, Antique Linen
Accessories - Blossom and Large Circle Nestabilities, Copics, Red Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, Buttons.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!!  :)

I like the blossom nesties with this stamp set, looks great, and looking at my blogger reader gave me a good opportunity to procrastinate for a bit longer, I have one more card to make before I am allowing myself to go to bed, I think I might make a brown brown get a brown card this time :-)
