JustRite Stamper's Challenge!!!! YAY!!! This year the challenges will be every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month and this week, our challenge to you is to use SCORING on your project and it's sponsored by SCOR-PAL!!! There are fabulous prizes to win and if you upload to SCS please use the keyword JRC_046! It's been quite a while since I put scoring on my cards, even though I use my Scor-pal ALL the time for 3D projects, so I decided to add a little lattice scoring to the background of my card! The layout is this week's SCS Sketch Challenge. :)
I started with a base of white and layered with Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie and then the white that I scored in a lattice pattern using my Scor-Pal. I cut some Haiku DSP using Label 14 Nestabilities (I found this lurking in my stash and thought it would be perfect for my tropical hibiscus!) and then added some white and orange grosgrain ribbons over the top. The sentiment is from the brand new JustRite stamp set called Beautiful Day and I've stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white card and cut it out with the Nested Frames Die set, exclusive custom dies from JustRite (and made by Spellbinders!). I stamped the Hibiscus from the new Mother Nature's Gifts set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card coloured it with Copics (YR12, YR16, R83, R85, R89, Y08) and cut it out with scissors and popped it up on foam tape. I've cut the leaves using Daisy Heads Shapeabilities and finished by adding some clear rhinestones that I coloured with a YR18 Copic Marker.
