Sweet Peas Birthday

Hello Everyone!!  Recently I was asked by a friend to make a card for her MIL's 80th Birthday - the theme was burgundy and apparently she loves Sweet Peas.  I thought this gorgeous Sweet Peas image by Flourishes would be perfect!  Instead of making them all a dark pink/burgundy colour, I went with a range of very pale pinks to deep pink for the flowers.

The base is made of deep pink bazzill and layered with white and topped with some SEI DP.  Across this is more white topped with more SEI and then wrapped some white crochet lace and burgundy ribbon around it.  The Sweet Peas have been stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured with Copic Markers (YG11, YG13, YG17, RV000, RV00, RV32, RV34, R81, R83, R85, R89).  This is a big image, so I've cut it out with Grand Circle Nestabilities and matted with the Grand Scallop Circle Nestabilities and popped it up on foam tape.  The sentiment is from Flourishes' Tag Lines set and has been cut out using Fancy Tags Shapeabilities.  I the corners I've added a few Kasiercraft Snow Pearls.

So are you wondering what on earth was I thinking using that silver cord at top??
Because this card is for a special event and needs to be written in by a lot of people, I've folded several sheets of paper inside and tied them with the silver cord, so it's sort of like a book!  :)

Stamps - Sweet Peas, Tag Lines (Flourishes)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Deep Pink Bazzill, White, SEI DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Angel Pink
Accessories - Copics, Grand Circle and Grand Scallop Circle Nestabilities, Fancy Tags Shapeabilities, White Crochet Lace, Burgundy Ribbon, Kaisercraft Snow Pearls, Foam Tape.

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are Inspired to Stamp!!  :)
