Save the Date

Hello Everyone!  Today's card was a request from a friend of mine.  Next year is her parent's 50th Anniversary and she wanted a card to make them 'Save the Date' for a special week-end that they have planned!  She did have a request to have the date on the card, so I had to go digging into my retired JustRite stash for a font set.

Speaking of JustRite Papercraft, as many of you probably know by now, the owner of JustRite is closing the Consumer Website and that also means that the JustRite Design Team has been let go.  This has been very sad for our team as we have been a tight group personally as well as professionally - I love these girls!  I remember starting with JustRite in June 2009.....can you believe it, 6 years ago!  It has been a sad time for all of us, but now it is time for us to move in different direction, that includes our leader Kellie Fortin who now has new horizons to explore - I'm sure we'll find out more soon!

For this card I've used a base of white and layered with gold and more white embossed with an embossing folder.  Around this I've attached a piece of white ribbon.  I've then used Filigree Corner Dies by JustRite to cut the gold corners and embellished with Prima flowers and Foliage Flourish die cuts.  I've created the sentiment using the Save The Date sentiment from Summer Words (ret.) and the date made with a retired font set. It's been cut with Large Oval Nestabilities and matted with gold cut with Elegant Ovals and popped up on X-press It Foam Tape.

Stamps - Summer Words (ret) and Retired Font Set (JustRite)
Ink - Versafine Black
Paper - White, Gold
Accessories - JustRite Filigree Corner Dies, Spellbinders Foliage Flourish, Large Oval and Elegant Ovals, Prima Flowers, White Ribbon, X-press It Foam Tape

That's all from me today, thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp.
