Happy 14th Son

Hello Everyone!  I have a fun teen boy card for you today as we are celebrating my eldest child's 14th Birthday!  I can't believe it's been 14 long years since that blonde little bundle of boy arrived screaming into our world and now he's turning into this amazing young man that I have to look up to!  Yep, I'm very short and have to look into his shoulder now!  SIGH!  Zac we love you and are so very proud of you - happy birthday son and may the year ahead be awesome and fun filled!

I've used a base of Marina Mist and layered with white and some Graphic 45 DP.  Next is a panel of kraft with a strip of more Graphic 45 DP cut into a notched tag.  I've stamped the backpack image from Power Poppy's Well Played stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-press It Blending Card and coloured it with Copics (E42, E43, E44, B91, B93, B95, B97, YR00, YR12, YR15, YR18, C1, C3, C5).  Although this set leans towards being a girly set, you can change it up to make some fabby male cards too!!  It's been cut with Deckled Edged Rectangle dies and while it was still in the die, I've sponged some Antique Linen ink around the edges and stamped the sentiment from Power Poppy's  Go Wild stamp set in the top corner.  I've popped this panel up on foam tape.  Finally I've die cut a 1 and 4 from dark yellow card and popped them up on foam tape and finished with a button on the image.  No other frilly bits or embellies because teen boys don't like that sort of thing!  :)

Stamps - Well Played, Go Wild (Power Poppy)
Paper - X-press It Blending Card, Marina Mist, White, Kraft, Graphic 45 DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Copics, Deckled Edged Rectangle Die, Number Dies, X-press It Foam Tape

I hope whatever is happening in your world today that it's a great one - now I'm off to eat cake!  :)  Thanks for visiting and hope you are inspired to stamp!  :)

Oh, Kathy, what a great card for your teen-aged son, Zac! Wow, it's so beautifully colored (you are so amazing), and I just love the layout with the sponging and even the "14" for his age. How fun that you now have to look way up to him already. Time sure flies, doesn't it? What a blessing to have him, and thanks for sharing about him and your card! Hugs!
